| When you place an order to purchase a product from www.cgpbooks.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. | 7. | Time |
| If you've read this whole document well done! Reading it all qualifies you for a free copy of our Invisible Revision Guide, which can only be seen by exceptionally clever people, like you. We will send it to you free of charge via invisible post in an invisible envelope. We hope you enjoy it! Ta-ta for now. | |
| 8. | Returns |
| CGP offers a 30-day "No Quibbles" returns right, and in addition you are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period of seven business days. Details of this statutory right and an explanation of how to exercise it are provided to you in our Returns Policy, available on request. If there’s a problem with your order and you wish to make any returns for damages or errors, you should do so within two working days – as this will allow us to despatch a suitable replacement as soon as possible. | |
| 9. | Pricing and availability |
| As far as possible, all products shown on the website are available from us
at the time they are viewed online as Out Now. Products marked as Coming Soon
are currently being published. As soon as they are available to buy they will
be marked Out Now. Wherever possible, all out of stock products will be removed
from the site until they become available again. Should you order an out of stock
product which appears on the website in error, we will contact you as soon as
possible to suggest a substitute product. Pricing Structures Please note that CGP offers a variety of pricing structures for different types of customer. We offer a specially discounted price structure for registered UK schools who wish to order books for delivery within the UK. Private individuals, tutors and home educators can buy our books at retail prices with excellent additional discounts based on total order value. Retail customers can order at retail prices with discounts available subject to negotiation. Overseas schools can buy our books at retail prices with no additional shipping charges on orders, regardless of where in the world they will be shipped. We aim to offer all our customers affordable, realistic prices, which is why we offer a wide range of discounts based on the total value of your order. To view your current discount rates please log on. When you browse our site as a school customer, you will see two sets of prices for each product: a UK schools price and an RRP. Please note the UK schools price is ONLY available to UK schools customers. Any other customer will be charged the RRP. Where a product is marked Not Available in the RRP column, this is because the product is only available for UK schools. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions on this, please contact our customer service team. When you log on, you will be registering as a particular type of customer. Any prices in your shopping cart will therefore be automatically updated to match the correct pricing and discounts for your personal account — please note that if you’ve browsed the site as a school, you may find the prices changing when you log on. That’s because our schools prices are for registered UK schools only. The Shopping Cart is only available after you have logged on and it will give you an accurate list of prices, discounts and your order total. These will not change after log on. Please note that if you try to register as a UK school and place an order online and you are not entitled to UK schools prices, we reserve the right to refuse your order or to contact you to offer it at the correct retail prices for all products ordered. Registering as a UK school does not automatically guarantee that we will allow you to order at UK schools prices, as verification of your school status will form part of the approval process for the order at CGP despatch. Please note that overseas schools will receive our International Schools prices even if they request despatch to a UK address. The price of your books is determined by your account address, not by your delivery address. These prices include shipping costs – which is why they are based on our retail pricing. Any UK school wishing to send books overseas should create a new account with the appropriate overseas address as this will allow us to apply the appropriate prices including shipping costs. All pricing displayed on our website is correct at the time of publishing to the web — however, please note that our prices are subject to change. We check all prices as part of our despatch procedures. If a product's correct price for your customer type is different to the price for your customer type stated on the current live website, we will charge you the lower amount. This policy applies only to the live version of the site at www.cgpbooks.co.uk and NOT to any cached versions of the site or bookmarked pages which may have been updated with new pricing since they were saved. This policy does not apply to different customer type pricing. So if the RRP stated on the website is £4.50 but the correct RRP is £5.00, we will charge you £4.50 as the mistake is ours. However, if the RRP of a product is £4.50 and the UK schools price stated on the website is £2.25, you will always be charged £4.50 for the product UNLESS you are a registered UK school customer. The UK schools prices are at a specific discounted price for UK schools customers only. Where possible, all CGP products are available to all types of customer. If you browse the site as one type of customer and then log on as a different type, please be aware that your prices may be amended automatically as appropriate, as specified in these terms and conditions. CGP reserves the right to make any products unavailable to particular customer types in any situation where this is unavoidable. Order handling and Postage Order handling and postage costs will be added to your order as appropriate. These will also be based on order size and on whether you are based in the UK or overseas. To find out exactly which costs apply to you, you will need to log on. All UK private customer orders which come to £20 or more (before any discount) will be delivered free of charge. Any UK private customer orders which amount to less than £20 will incur a £2.50 charge for postage and packaging. For UK schools we may add a ‘small order’ handling charge. For all overseas private or retail customers, your shipping costs will depend on the country in which you are based. If you would like further information about this, please contact our customer service department either via email on customerservices@cgpbooks.co.uk or by calling between 8.30 and 5.30 Monday to Friday on 0870 750 1262. |
|

Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from www.cgpbooks.co.uk, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. We will therefore communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on the website as appropriate. This condition does not affect your statutory rights. This condition does not include ‘e-marketing’ communications. We will never send ‘e-marketing’ communications to you without first receiving your express consent via tick box on the registration or My Details pages – in accordance with UK and European direct marketing regulations. This will ask you to ‘opt-in’ if you would like to receive our ‘e-marketing’. If you don’t opt in, you won’t receive it. Again, this does not affect your statutory rights. |
|
| 12. | Losses |
| CGP will not be responsible for any business loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure) or any other indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using the website or when a contract for the sale of goods by us to you was formed. | |
| 13. | Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions |
| We reserve the right to make changes to our website, our policies and these Terms & Conditions at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms & Conditions in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition. | |
| 14. | Events beyond our reasonable control |
| We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control (‘force majeure’ etc). This condition does not affect your statutory rights. | |
| 15. | Payment |

UK schools customers can also pay at the time of placing an order. Payment can be made when placing an order by credit or debit card via this website, or by calling our customer services team to order and passing on your details. Your payment details will not be retained.
