My children love the books and they have really helped them improve and prepare for their sats this summer. My class also are very impressed at how much these books can teach you.

I love your books and so do my students (well they like them anyway) so thank you. Tea is chicken, chips and salad, seeings as you asked :)
Rosie — Hythe, United Kingdom — 20 Mar 2017 at 18:06:54
This is my first year working as a tutor and I don't know where I'd be, (or my students for that matter), without CGP publications! That have made a massive difference to my students confidence and knowledge and reduced my workload significantly. Thank you!

how come u deleted those two words as if they were rude? I was only copying and pasting from the website, how could that possibly be an offensive or rude swearword? I have never been offensive or sworn in my life!
ria — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 18 Mar 2017 at 11:02:22
Guestbook Editor: Sorry! Our website is a bit sensitive about links — sometimes people can link to dodgy pages, so it automatically chops bits out of the text to keep everyone safe. (It does the same thing with swearwords, but that's purely to protect my innocence.)
Please make and english igcse book. Read this if you do not believe me :

I feel as though your revision guides for students are a little high this is very frustrating for me as I need these guides and am having to find ways to get help in getting these books, education shouldn't cost me 51 quid.
Zachary Underwood — Norwich, United Kingdom — 16 Mar 2017 at 13:02:18
Guestbook Editor: It's true that buying a lot of books at once can end up being quite expensive — but you could save up to 35% when you order direct from CGP:
Order total over £30 = 10% discount
Order total over £50 = 20% discount
Order total over £100 = 35% discount

I have purchased the GCSE Edexcel French Exam Practice Workbook with FREE Online Audio. Where and how do I access the FREE Online Audio?
Lesley Bolton — Bolton, United Kingdom — 16 Mar 2017 at 11:16:52
Guestbook Editor: Tournez à gauche à la bibliothèque et allez tout droit à la piscine. Alternatively, click here, where the free audio for all our Grade 9-1 GCSE French books lives. Just click on The Edexcel Exam Practice Workbook and you'll be able to play the audio in your browser — or download the files to your device if you'd prefer.
I must say that having to register on a website is a huge irritation just to order one book for my son on request of the school. I will make a point of not using this website for anything else.
Colin Morley — Ascot, United Kingdom — 14 Mar 2017 at 09:37:27
Guestbook Editor: Sorry to hear that this has caused you problems. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to browse our books and order from us — and we appreciate that setting up a new account can be a bit of a faff sometimes. We're always looking at ways to improve the CGP website, so don't be surprised to see some changes in the not-too-distant future...
We have the KS2 Year 4 assessment pack. We cannot find a recommendation for how long to allow the children for each assessment. Can you help?
Mark Williamson — Chingford, United Kingdom — 14 Mar 2017 at 08:27:06
Guestbook Editor: Good question! But it's a tricky one to answer... Our yearly KS2 Assessment packs are designed to be as flexible as possible, to allow teachers to choose how to use them with their pupils. Because of this, we never specify a particular time limit for them. As a rough guide, we reckon that each subject's assessment (including the Greater Depth activities) could be completed fairly comfortably in two lessons — or roughly 1½ hours.
Will you make an A-Level Law revision guide?
Nathan River — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 13 Mar 2017 at 22:35:55
Guestbook Editor: Unfortunately there are no plans to make an A-level Law Revision Guide in the near future. Thanks for the suggestion though — we'll definitely add it to our list!
Having, today, struggled unsuccessfully with other websites, what a relief to return to yours which is so much more user friendly!!

Will there be a Spanish version??
Danilo Paganelli — London, United Kingdom — 11 Mar 2017 at 17:27:49
Guestbook Editor: Hopefully! We'd love to make a Spanish Grammar Handbook for KS3 and Grade 9-1 GCSE. Unfortunately it's too early to say if or when it might be available though. Keep an eye on our What's New page for the latest info on our new releases.
Hi, the books are great, and chicken noodles and vegetables, very tasty indeed.

This revision guide actually made me remember Shakespeare. I know you probably get this all the time, but PLEASE add a online edition!
It's still great though.
Ethan Webb — Shepshed, United Kingdom — 02 Mar 2017 at 08:13:50
Could you possibly make a 9-1 media studies book at one point? i use your books for pretty much everything (currently using one to revise for my computer science test) and i know my exams are 2 years away but it would be helpful to purchase one from you. Thanks again for the amazing books :)
Anna — London, United Kingdom — 28 Feb 2017 at 15:47:19
Guestbook Editor: A GCSE Media Studies book is definitely a possibility, but we can't say much more than that at the moment...

do tutors get a discount?
DP — Worcester, United Kingdom — 28 Feb 2017 at 12:20:36
Guestbook Editor: Yes, indeed — tutors receive a discount on all orders over £30. You find more info on our Infrequently Asked Questions page.
Can you please make a 9-1 version of this??? Please please please please please! It's really important. It is really helpful and I have my GCSE Spanish exams next year and it would just be so helpful with a 9-1 one. Please!! I really wanna do Spanish a level and I NEED THIS please 9-1

Guestbook Editor: Hi — thanks for your question, and for setting the record for most 'pleases' in a CGP Guestbook comment since 2006.
Unfortunately, even though you've asked very politely, we're not currently planning to make Grade 9-1 versions of these GCSE Vocab Testers. Lo siento mucho! On the bright side, the Grade A*-G version will still help you master most of the vocab you need.
Superb books... My children are enjoying revision. Thanks to CGP!

Such a shame that only 2 out of 4 of our topics are in it. (Elizabeth and Germany in, doesn't do Power and the people and Causes of WW1)
Please consider doing the other sections. Perhaps make them as an online/downloadable/printable resource.
J Adams — Poole, United Kingdom — 27 Feb 2017 at 14:36:09
Guestbook Editor: Sorry about that — there are so many options on offer for GCSE History that we have to limit ourselves to covering the most popular. But I'll pass on your request to our book development team.
Can't wait to force my kids to do some revision with your books. Peace and quiet, cheers!
Emma — Brum, United Kingdom — 25 Feb 2017 at 19:51:50
CGP, your books, as far as I'm concerned, are absolutely excellent. When I get home I look forward to doing revision using your handy revision guides and workbooks. They have really helped me understand areas where I lack confidence, and also they help me not have to question my understanding of specific areas where I feel already stable and confident. The layout is very clear and engaging, making it easy and inviting to read. I recommend this company to all my school friends and I find it very useful to help my younger brothers and sisters to learn and it allows me to explain different subject areas clearly.
I haven't got a brilliant chemistry teacher, but with the help of CGP books I have been able to work at home and self-teach myself using the guides and workbook. Very useful and will be buying many more books such as; Jekyll and Hyde study book and many, many more.
Thank you CGP for helping me get the best out of my education.

I'm looking forward to tucking into a hearty bowl of mushroom risotto.
Andrew — Porth, United Kingdom — 21 Feb 2017 at 20:21:14
I bought the core GCSE science higher revision book , then to find out after doing part 1a of chemistry that there are only answers for 4 of the 33 questions . Which quite frankly doesnt help revision for my GCSEs, especially when you can't even find out the answers in the book or online , waste of money.
Alice — Hornsea, United Kingdom — 21 Feb 2017 at 17:48:39
Guestbook Editor: Madam, that is calumny! I have swooned upon the CGP fainting couch. The revision summary questions in our Revision Guides are there to recap what you've just been studying, so you can always find the answers in the book. And if the question asks you to do a calculation you haven't seen before, we'll provide the answer.
But admittedly it's a pain to go back and look things up. So in our more recent Revision Guides, we split up these revision summary questions into mini-sections, and tell you which pages of the book they're testing you on.
CGP simply got it right! No long winded words neither too short. The key points of any topic are explained so well that learning becomes a joy (ok revision guides are not full text books BUT CGP got the balance right). The format, the colors and the 'silly jokes' are just brilliant. The workbooks follow the material in the study guides and test key ideas. And the prices must be 'subsidized'; surely they can not reflect the real costs! As a parent and as a private tutor I always recommended my kids, my extended family members and my students from KS1 to A level to always have a handy copy of the relevant CGP books. Really and truly a pioneering educational company. Well done.

I really, really wish all your complete revision and practice books came with answers. For the old GCSE, you used to do some great 'producing non fiction' and 'understanding non fiction' study books with matching workbooks and answer books. They actually helped. With this book, there are lots of Qs to have a go at, but no indication of my standard or where I'm going wrong!
Ann — Berkshire, United Kingdom — 20 Feb 2017 at 11:10:19
My granddaughter (age 10) has been using one of your books (KS2 Maths SAT Buster) for SAT's revision and has had some problems which have confused and upset her. Consequently I have looked through the book and noticed some disappointing errors.
Set "C" test 5 question 1 asks shows 2 line shapes on squared background (A & B). The question asks "How much bigger is the area of shape A than the area of shape B?" However shape A is 8.5 sq cm and shape B is 10 sq cm. this is very confusing , particularly as your printed answer shows these values and states a difference of 1.5 sq cm. (how much do you pay your proof readers??)
Also whilst looking through the book I noticed that when large numbers were shown, you generally use a space between Hundreds: Thousands: and Millions to aid understanding . However this is not always adhered to (Set B test 2 question 4) and is a confusion.
Derek Painter — Cheshire, United Kingdom — 16 Feb 2017 at 12:41:59
Guestbook Editor: We're sorry for the confusion. All our books are carefully proofread, but the occasional mistake does slip through the net — we're only human! As you say, we've got the wording of this question wrong, so we'll make sure it's corrected next time we reprint the book.
Our convention in Maths books is to write four-digit numbers without a space — we think 3000 is easier to read than 3 000. But we do include spaces in numbers with five digits or more (e.g. we'd write 11 500 or 2 450 359) to help children keep track of their thousands and millions.
I have purchased a few of your books to help my students' practice the key skills they need to develop for GCSE English.
Although some of your books are logical & follow a systematic pattern with regards to topic & unit etc, it's evident that a majority of your books are crammed with low level practice tasks, humourless jokes & sadly lack substance.
Quite frankly, I find it embarrassing that these books are so popular within Education, Tutoring & home school environments. I will not be wasting my money on this gimmick. I actually purchased a book the other day & to my dismay there was no logical order, obey page was about Romeo & Juliet followed by a very weak account of formal/ informal letter writing. This book & others like it is why the Uk is producing dysfunctional illiterates. I simply will not be investing any of my time or finances on these ridiculous books ~ clearly not worth the time it takes to find the topic you require. Also you are bombarded with tasteless jokes, bad grammar & clearly a lack of expectation is inherent within the pages of your so called 'guides'.
lauren Hill — London, United Kingdom — 14 Feb 2017 at 14:13:21
Guestbook Editor: Hello — thanks for you comments. We can't claim that our jokes are often Wildean in their level of wit, and we're sure our informal style won't be to everyone's taste, but we always do our best to arrange the content of our books in a sensible order. One of our main aims is to make studying (and teaching) as straightforward as possible.
If you could send us the details of the book you found illogical, we'd be happy to look into whether we can make improvements in future editions.
how come you have so much success? what key do u have to making your books simple and full? our school uses books from 90s but I use ur boks at home. they are too afraid to try new things even if it is best for them.
renee chang — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 13 Feb 2017 at 21:33:32
Guestbook Editor: I'm afraid we can't go giving away the keys to our success on the CGP Guestbook. Our competitors are constantly scouring this page, waiting for us to slip up. Or so I tell myself.
One thing's for sure, though — we're definitely not books from the '90s.
Hi I was wondering if there were any answers available for the GCSE AQA Business Studies Revision Guide? I can't seem to find any anywhere, apart from in the notes themselves, when I would much rather just have a list of answers, as I find reading back through all the notes time consuming. Thanks in advance.
sophie — Norfolk, United Kingdom — 13 Feb 2017 at 20:05:07
Guestbook Editor: Hi! We don't print these answers separately, sorry. As you (almost) say, the questions are there to test how much you've remembered from the section you've just studied — so if you've forgotten anything, we want to make sure you go back and look at it again. Tough love for Valentine's Day, but that's our style.
your books smell like mayonnaise
john — town, United Kingdom — 13 Feb 2017 at 13:13:30
Guestbook Editor: We add that scent afterwards to disguise the smell of what they're really made from.
Hey guys. I luv ur r3 book. I am doing a Richard iii wanted poster for the english project. Jus wondering can u use fineliners and inkpens on paper before it gets tea stained. Thx u lot your amazing my bro got an arkwright scholarship thx to u guys he got 7a*s and 3As.
Jack jr — London, United Kingdom — 11 Feb 2017 at 15:46:49
Guestbook Editor: Interesting question about your poster... the level of tea-resistance will depend a lot on the ink and the type of paper. We'd recommend testing your pens on a scrap of the same paper you'll be using, then dunking it. Only way to be sure.
(Great to hear you and your brother are CGP fans, by the way.)
CGP books makes revision less boring and maybe, just maybe, kinda fun.

Does not cover the entire syllabus of the 9-1 exam, of no use to anyone not prepared to follow the popular themes listed by the exam boards, so students do not really have a choice of topics to choose to study
