steph — , UK — 30 Mar 2001 at 17:51:00

I have just had a quick look at your GCSE French -The Workbook and liked it a lot for its clarity of layout. I notice that there is no Spanish - a pity because it the most buoyant of the MFLs in GB. Is one on the way or do you need writers? If so may be we can help.

John Walder — Chaucer Technology School, Can, UK — 30 Mar 2001 at 16:49:00

Rachel Sarah — , UK — 29 Mar 2001 at 22:57:00

lisa crouch — dagenham, essex , UK — 29 Mar 2001 at 21:09:00

Great Books

Leverton School — Bretwood, Essex , UK — 29 Mar 2001 at 10:40:00

I have brought your books since Key stage 3, and I think that they're really cheap, I used to buy other revision guides that were costing me up to £19.99 for maths and sciences, but now I have your revision guides, I never need to be out of pocket again, also I'd like to say that they're the best around, and everyone I know says that you can't fail using your revision guides, they really are the best, and thanks to you, I got A*'s and A's in my GCSE's, please could you publish one for graphics though, because my teacher wasn't so good at explaining and it would make life much easier for people doing graphics if they had a revision guide that is as good as the ones you make.

Lara Jenning — Heathrow , UK — 28 Mar 2001 at 23:13:00

I have bought your revision guides for almost all my GCSE subjects, and now I am going to get the maths methods revision guide. I think they're easy to follow and very colourful. They have proved to be very helpful to me in the past and I think they are great! Please produce one for AQA P1!!

Abby Martin — London , UK — 28 Mar 2001 at 22:54:00

Just wanted to say your books are really excellent. Im studying for my GCSEs and they're really helpful. I love the fact that they're all written in language we can relate to! I have to go miles though if I want one though coz nowhere round here sells them. They would be better if they were cheaper but i suppose its due to the quality of these pukka books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Natasha — Ceredigion , UK — 28 Mar 2001 at 21:07:00

JENNY ENNIS — HUYTON, LIVERPOOL , UK — 28 Mar 2001 at 09:55:00

Brilliant books, aimed for once, at children. Mine seem to take in sections at a time, dipping in every now and then. How boring it used to be, revising from fading black and white photocopies from school.... Well done!

Mrs Danusia Beard — , UK — 27 Mar 2001 at 22:23:00

I think your books are good but the jokes get on my nerves. why cant you just make it a normal revision book. the jokes arent even funny! oh and why do you always use the word 'jolly'. its not jolly when you have to revise. so dont try and make it.Thanks.Nathan Cayless.

Nathan — , UK — 27 Mar 2001 at 21:05:00

I used your revision guides for my GCSE's & they helped a great deal. I am now doing my AS/A levels & thought they would help me how ever I was disappointed to see that you only do a guide for Maths. The guides I require are for AS levels in Law, Government & Politics, Sociology & also Psychology. Is there any chance that these guides will be produced soon?

Lisa McConnachie — Luton, Beds , UK — 27 Mar 2001 at 19:24:00

Jamie Box — , UK — 26 Mar 2001 at 19:15:00

Thanx to these books, i have done well in my tests i had 99% in my practice sats test in science! The price is worth it but its really to much! U should do something about the price!! Believe me more will buy them! my mum owns a shop her self but doesn't sell these books because we can't afford them! Thanx! The books have made me learn so much even though i'm in set1 in nearly everything!

kelly Davies — , UK — 26 Mar 2001 at 19:04:00

Sarah Bell — Bedfont, Middx , UK — 20 Mar 2001 at 18:57:00

I think the web-site is ace but i don't think the individual books should be that much more expensive than the school order books because otherwise success in passing our tests will cost us a fortune in revision guides, workbooks and practice papers.

CAROLINE WILLIAMS — , UK — 20 Mar 2001 at 18:54:00

Your books are GREAT!

A very comprehensive and well presented web-site.

Daniel Ross — Helme View, Kendal , UK — 20 Mar 2001 at 11:34:00

Having just seen 'Flying High' from the KS2 English Practice papers I wondered why some of the text (‘Important Flying Dates’) is written in the present tense? Children often get muddled with tenses and, to ensure consistency, we try hard to get them to write in the past tense for their story writing SAT. I also thought that 'The Wright Brothers Flight' item read, (to me), rather awkwardly. The piece was probably written in an immediate, conversational / journalistic manner to catch children’s interest but it wouldn’t have been my choice to do it like that. I would be interested to know if there are any examples of this device in the ‘official’ SATs?

Ray King — Addison School , UK — 20 Mar 2001 at 11:23:00

I was just wondering how long the new AS books are gonna take? I have the maths one and its great but i would like the whole set. Please keep them coming or i will fail. Thanks

Just received your catalogue & materials look great, even for the Scottish curriculum. Staff are currently looking at the SCIENCE KS 2 book. We would not necessarily need the whole book for the Scottish Curriculum. Is there any way in which the materials can be customised for our school???

Mike Rotch — , UK — 18 Mar 2001 at 14:56:00

Thanks for the Brill books, my daughter is taking her GCSEs next year, and they will help a lot. When are you going to produce the Statistics and Mechanics module revision guides for the AS Level Maths? Your Pure module book is brill, but with the exams in only 10 weeks or so the books for the S1 and M1 modules are long overdue.

Darran — , Wales — 15 Mar 2001 at 16:56:00

I've been using your books for one to one tuition for over a year. Excellent value.

Jan Hughes — Woodford, Cheshire , UK — 14 Mar 2001 at 20:50:00

Having seen some of your books in the shops, I was able to check my sons progress at his school, and I have found that they help to improve his work, not only at home, but he has shown a marked improvement at school. Thank you for wonderful books.

George Longmore — Birmingham , UK — 14 Mar 2001 at 20:41:00

Finally, a set of revision books which don't treat GCSE students as idiots, but do acknowledge a sense of humour. They're really helping me with my GCSE revision. Thanks again CGP!

I've got the KS3 science the revision guide booklet. I find it very useful and interesting. The only thing is i only got my book last Friday and i had a science test today (tuesday) on all the things i've done since year 8. So i knuckled down to some hard study and found my test came very easy to me and hard for others, so thank you CGP

Emmett Mc Veigh — , Northern Ireland — 13 Mar 2001 at 18:32:00

hey ur books are a great help carry on with the great work!

lisa cowap — , UK — 11 Mar 2001 at 19:28:00

I thought your GCSE books were pretty useful. I think you should spend less time on the books for students in lower years as those exams are easy and unimportant. Instead i think you should produce more A/AS level books which EVERYONE would buy.

Q — , UK — 11 Mar 2001 at 18:13:00

I love cgp books because i learn a lot

Daniel — eccles, manchester , UK — 11 Mar 2001 at 17:35:00

Just a short note to say how useful I find these books for coursework, revision and answering any unclear information I have after lessons. They are a must have for anyone who wants to achieve good GCSE results. I believe that they are great value, and this makes them so affordable for everyone. I have the Science, English, French, Maths, Geog, History, but what about doing an Religious Studies and extending your As level range. Good luck to anyone who is doing their GCSE's this summer along with me! Jo

I've been using you KS4 Maths stuff for a long time now, back when B&W ruled OK. I liked them right from the start as they were written in the way I like to think I teach ie not serious but mathematically correct. Now it's the turn of my own brood to face KS3 SATs and I'm amazed at the quality across the board. The barcode messages keep us giggling for hours. Keep up the good work.

All of my students have ordered a set. (I expect my achievement figures to go through the roof!) Thanks again
