I think your GCSE books were great, but now that i'm going to college, i would like to see more AS and A level books. At the moment there is only maths AS, but i would like books such as electronics, computing and physics AS and A level books. Thanks

hi, just finished my GCSE's and I found the information i revised highly relevant to the material on the papers. For the first time in my life I actually enjoyed my Science exam, thanks alot and to anyone who cares to listen, buy CGP books, they WORK!
Captain Rhodes. — , UK — 24 Jun 2001 at 23:22:00
These books are great to revise from. Are you going to make it possible to revise on line with the same layout etc. That would be so good and make it a lot easier to revise as the bitesize websites and books are not as interesting or funny. Thanx!xx

J A Butchers — , UK — 23 Jun 2001 at 20:08:00
"Dead important stuff". Hehe, these books are cool, but i couldn't really care about the funny stuff (a good "stab" anyway). I think the French book is dead pucker! Ta very much!
Richard — , UK — 23 Jun 2001 at 15:05:00
If you could make an IT revision guide it would be so helpful, as all the info is so similar your books would make learning it so much easier.

I really think you should make a cgp GCSE revision guide for Spanish!!!!! I've got the French one and it makes learning it so easy! If you could just do this with Spanish i would be very happy and so would all the other people studying it as well

I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to the people at CGP, like Richard Parsons, who have made my life in year10, and the year 10 exams SO much easier, with the GCSE level books. I will certainly use them for my GCSE's next year. Will you ever publish an IT revision guide, as i could really use help in that subject

HI CGP! I THINK YOUR BOOKS ARE BRILLIANT AND THEY HAVE HELPED ME ALOT IN MY S.A.TS. I ALSO THINK YOU WEBSITE IS FAB!!!!!
carys — , UK — 19 Jun 2001 at 20:41:00
I think your wide selection of books are very helpful. Especially because they got me a SATS grade of a 6 last year which has put me in the top set for English! (especially because i am so thick otherwise and got a 4 in science and maths) The only thing is we are never told soon enough when our tests are and what we NEED to revise!!! We are now doing our y10 tests and they have been brought forward 2-3 weeks, and in them 2-3 weeks i was planning to revise! Thanx for your books, which i am sure have taught me every thing i know! Bye x
C.louise.H — , UK — 19 Jun 2001 at 19:25:00
I have just telephoned to find out if you are updating the KS4 science revision guides to meet the new AQA syllabus for modular science. The website has no information about this. I was told that new books will be sent out to schools for inspection on July 2nd.
denny fitzpatrick — North Westminster school, lond, UK — 19 Jun 2001 at 11:07:00
GOD! GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT! The modern World History Book - GCSE. On page 43 you have the Anti-Commintern Pact as 1936 then on the next page you have it as 1937. This puts across a VERY confusing message! You need more detail, put it in chronological order and then they are fine and dandy! Thanx! (A female victor meldrew) xx
Sass Clark — Cambridge , UK — 18 Jun 2001 at 22:22:00
I have just taken my GCSE's with the help of the CGP Revision Guides. If it weren't for these books I would never had passed this exam. Thanks..... For my A Levels I will be taking Chemistry, Physics and Maths (EDEXCEL Board). I know my friends and I (me especially) would love for the A/S - A Level CGP Revision Guides to be available when we go into 6th Form (We swear by them). I know that there is a P1 MATHS EDEXCEL Guide, but please try and bring out the A/S Level revision guides before the beginning of September 2001 term. I know it'll be very popular (ESPECIALLY IN OUR SCHOOL!!!!!!). Thanks
S. Perera — , UK — 18 Jun 2001 at 19:07:00
You're books do help but why is there no sites or revision guides on Elizabethan England? This is making it hard to revise for as there is no way I can test what I have or haven't learnt. Also it does get a bit boring just reading and writing after a while.
Karen Mcfadden — , UK — 18 Jun 2001 at 16:18:00
Thanx. Your books were really helpful. I can now ride a bike uphill, downhill, round corners, and change gears!! All in 2.5 hours. I don't know how I could've done it without you.

Melanie Elms — , UK — 17 Jun 2001 at 18:30:00
Great books guys but why no spanish revision guide? u have german and french! and what about child development and d.t? come on chaps keep up the high standards 4 all the subjects!
Gaylord Focker — , UK — 17 Jun 2001 at 16:19:00
The history book is inaccurate and shoddily edited. However, the others are good, although they would probably be 30 pages shorter if you omitted your personal thoughts and opinions (eg your opinion of smoking in the Biology book or your constant and tiring references to the Barrow Town Hall in the Chemistry book).
vladimir lenin — leningrad , Russia — 17 Jun 2001 at 16:01:00

My daughter is 10 years old, and struggles with her maths. I was given a book for her to look at, (Key Stage Two Maths, The Study Book). I could not believe maths could be made to learn so simply. I am ordering this book right away and will be ordering more in the future, for both my daughter and my son. Thank You for saving a lot of tears.

Could you let me know if you get any new books
Sarwar — Cable streeet, London , UK — 10 Jun 2001 at 19:45:00
i think your books are really good but, i was really peed off when i revised loads for my BIOLOGY gcse and i got in the exam to find that half the stuff on the paper i hadnt even been taught. The anwsers were not in your revision guide either. i think you should seriously think about updating the revision guides and contacting the exam boards to find out what new stuff needs to be added. If i get a bad mark i will personally hold you responsible and my teacher - he's...
Naomi — , UK — 10 Jun 2001 at 19:15:00
Hello! The CGP revision guides are very funky and they really have helped me to revise as they cut everything down to just the nitty gritty, I want to say thank you very much and good luck to everyone who reads this message with exams to morrow, especially in chemistry! Luv Prue Walker, 16
Prunella Walker — , UK — 10 Jun 2001 at 16:25:00

HI CGP Guys I think overall your books are great. I was recommended these books by my "Teach". She said they helped a lot. I thought these books would be plain and boring but they proved me wrong when i saw "Deliberate Use Of Humor". Even though I hate Physics I liked some of its humourous jokes. It made me want to read them. I need to know if you do SINGLE Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Biology GCSE Thanks Omar
Omar — , UK — 10 Jun 2001 at 11:07:00
Well hello there people well i thought i would be a real saddo and join you all by writing a little piece on the knowledge i have learned from your oh so witty books. well i say they are a little biased in the biology section with drugs aren't they, hey whats wrong with them? well thats my little input into this wonderful website see you later love nix

Sarah Elizabeth Dickinson — Netherthong, Holmfirth , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 18:31:00
Hi I really like your website its wicked. Why don't you write a book on how to be ginger and smoke. I love smoking and Mr Captain can go and get a life! I don't do to well at school but your revision guides have come in very handy as they don't teach too well at South Dartmoor community College, Ashburton. (or I could just be a bit thick!)
Jade Millar — Exeter , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 18:29:00
thanx- i just got the 3 science GCSE books from school and they're very good, and the ks3 maths one helped me a lot in my SATs last year. I love the little 'suitable for vegans and vegetarians' bit on the back of the biology one, and the 'keep refrigerated' one hee hee hee! Oh i think you should include a list of shops that sell your books on this website cos i need my books FAST- i have yr 10 exmas starting in 3 weeks!
sophie — , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 16:59:00
I'm sorry but your History revision book is terrible. The questions are ambiguous, inaccurate and too brief. Asking teachers if I will face any problems in my exams due to struggling on your questions they've all said, "No ,don't worry all the questions in the book are either not on the history paper or wouldn't be as broadly asked".
Natasha Stefani — , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 14:31:00
Im finding it hard to revise for chemistry and i cant find any question answer sites that resemble a real G.C.S.E paper they are all multichoice so not challenging enough someone help me!PLEASE!
Craig Blain — Lytham St.Annes, Lancashire , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 14:21:00
i'm doing my gcses right now, & they're going ok, thanx 4 the books - i used the biology, chemistry and maths ones and they helped me loads, specially biology which i hate! they made it much easier to revise!! but next year i'm doing AS levels - r u gonna do more books for them? ur site only has maths A level - what about some more? chemistry, french, german & english would do me great! thanx.
diana — peterborough , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 13:24:00
Hi again! I forgot one thing. Put your modern world history into chronological order as it is incredibly confusing and terribly vague in places - more details please! I'll come back on August the 23rd and tell you my history results and you'll see whether your books helped or not! Thanks. Sarah Clarkxx
Sarah Clark — Cambridge , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 10:07:00
the answers to your revision summary questions as it isn't always obvious! Thank you for reading my somewhat long comment! Keep up the good work CGP! Sarah Clarkxx
Sarah Clark — Cambridge , UK — 08 Jun 2001 at 10:02:00
yeah great books but i have a food technology exam tomorrow so you could have brought out a book for that, just a suggestion for next years year 11's. Although i will fail anyway your books have given me some information so i don't make a complete fool of myself. cheers, i'll raise a pint to you when i get my results whether i am celebrating or commiserating i thank you.

Hi CGP. I just got to say, your books are damn useful, they help me, they're cheap and as far as the jokes are concerned so what if they ain't always funny, it's just a bit of fun, lighten up! This guestbook is full of bitter curmudgeons with no life, I reckon some of you putting down the jokes should try and make homeostasis funny..... What's called for is a webpoll on the site: "are the jokes funny" you got my vote, YES!They crack me up! Oh and those complaining about the remarks about smoking get a life. Smoking is only done by weak and impressionable wannabes who feel uncomfortable as themselves. People in third world countries get paid peanuts for making cigarettes while some fat bloke in America makes millions. NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM SMOKING. thankyou CGP I'm finished now.

I'm writing to express my utter annoyance at the so called 'funny one liners' the 'crazy gang at cgp' include in their revision books. the truth of the matter is that these 'funny one liners' aren't funny at all but [swearing] and obviously the product of some disillusioned [swearing] of a teacher who thinks him and his poxy books are cool. Here's some advice from someone who uses and wishes to keep on using revision books in the future: stop the filling your [swearing] little books with [swearing] jokes , you're only making an average series of books worse you [swearing]. ps. please post my message on the board

Your GCSE French revision guides are excellent value for money and now with the workbooks I am sure I will find them even more beneficial for my students. However, when if ever, will there be 1) a KS3 book for French and the Spanish equivalents in all of these???

The books I have do help, however they are very patronising. Im 16 not 6. All of my friends also see this is the case with your books, there's fun and just plain stupid patronisation.
Ickle Berry — , UK — 05 Jun 2001 at 22:30:00
Your books are very good tell you just what you need to know. Even if they do treat you like a five year old! Thanx!
Elise — Buryholme, hertfordshire , UK — 05 Jun 2001 at 22:28:00
Hi, I just want to say your books are good, but they gave me the impression that this website had extra info, or the books on them. Not a product database just trying to promote your Books! Good Luck everybody
Dave — , UK — 05 Jun 2001 at 20:01:00

katie — , Iceland — 05 Jun 2001 at 19:15:00
I think that these books are great and are good for revising from they provide it in note form and have not too much although they can be quite hard in some certain areas especially the foundation workbook is reasonably hard but probably not as hard as the higher levels workbooks. i think that you should supply more workbooks for other subjects.

Ur books r ok but they contain some really really bad jokes that are just not funny-sorry to disappoint!!!!Luv Sam xxx
Sam — , UK — 05 Jun 2001 at 09:11:00
For the single Science SEG examination, are both books required or is the first sufficient? I ask this as , at Hall Garth School, pupils, including me, have only been given book 1, and Book II hasn't even been mentioned. It is now too late for me to buy the second book, and seeing as though, as I said above, it hasn't been mentioned AT ALL, I did not realise there was two books until last night when doing some last minute revision. Please answer this as it is a matter of a "U" or a "B"
Toni-Louise Biewer — , UK — 05 Jun 2001 at 08:50:00

caroline — , UK — 04 Jun 2001 at 21:08:00

Hiya, I really like CGP books and I think they help a lot when it comes to revision. I think they should bring out a new book for GCSE Information Technology because it has become a very popular subject. Hope to see a GCSE IT book out in time for when I do my GCSE's! cya
Lisa — , UK — 04 Jun 2001 at 20:20:00
I like your range of books but it would be good if you had one for gcse textiles as it would have helped loads. hopefully you'll have one for when i do my a-levels
Jo — , UK — 04 Jun 2001 at 19:11:00
Great site! Any Chemistry specific texts planned?
Matthew Wright — , UK — 04 Jun 2001 at 17:45:00
i am now teaching my daughter at home and after trying other education books yours are truly outstanding as for instance my daughter sat keystage three science at school and only got 35%. I have been using your science book and gave her a verbal and written test from your books and her result overall was a staggering 80% without cheating. I amazed and i shall now be purchasing further books and tests. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL AND EXCITING RANGE .

I think this website is very important for children who work course by GCSE i think they use this much to help with other people to help improvement with their GCSE work and possible will be high grade. I always use this website when i needs to revision for a exams.

I'd like to say that this web site was useful, but in actual fact, when trying to research photosynthesis, we found nothing that could help us. We didn't realize you would try and sell the books, we thought they would help students that can't afford the books, but have access to the internet!
Jenny & Lucy — , UK — 04 Jun 2001 at 11:24:00
i think your book are brilliant and i really enjoy revising from them, but i would like to know if you do technology and design gcse revision books, because i have not seen one any where. please e-mail to let me know that you do.
Kirsty Crowe — co antrim, Northern Ireland , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 21:30:00
I have discovered your books, on my recent visit to England and Scotland. Your Study Guides and Revision Books are of great value and will certainly help students. I brought a few of them back to India and plan to order more. Keep it up!
THOMAS SIMON — Kalina, BOMBAY , India — 03 Jun 2001 at 18:49:00
As fantastic as your books are, and i really do find them a great help, is it not possible to provide the answers to the questions after each section? Sometimes the answers are obvious upon flicking back through the book, but other times it is not so obvious and i'm unsure if i'm revising to a good standard, it seems to be left up to guess work.
James Pestle — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 18:07:00
Great Books!!!!!! dont know what i would do without them
Richard Binnie — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 17:38:00
it was good but could do with more information
zara irvine — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 16:42:00
Why aren't there any book covering design and technology subjects? You have books on every subject I am doing at gcse apart from food. Why don't you cover this?
Nikki — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 16:20:00
hello i would like to say your books are a blessing and do a classical studies one for gcses?
charlotte morphet — wandsworth, london , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 16:16:00
I THOUGHT YOUR BOOKS WERE USEFUL WITH GOOD DIAGRAMS AND THE WORDING WAS GOOD, BUT I THINK YOU COULD HAVE HAD MORE BOOKS WITH MORE SUBJECTS LIKE TECHNOLOGY
Jamie John — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 14:32:00
I think your books are brilliant. They are so helpfull and funny. Its made revision a whole lot easyer. You could add tiny parts of the books to this site, to show people how good the books are.
Worf — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 14:14:00
i think that your books are fab but i think that all the revision books should have answers at the back because it is much easier. I am a student and i am 12 years old. My end of year exams(year seven) starts on 4th June. I have bought Key stage three english, maths and science revision guide. I find the questions after every one or two sections very useful. But when i get stuck on the questions if they are hard i normally go to the answers but English does not have any answers and science do have some answers, but not all of them. Not like maths which have all of them. I would like to request that in the future when you publish revision or any other books, that they all have all the answers at the back.Thank you.
Seema Patel — Aston, Birmingham , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 12:18:00
Your books are stupid, to say the least. Your guides for GCSE Double Science Biology are much too vague, and true revision material is diluted by pointless jokes and puns that don't help in learning at all. I threw out my CGP books and just went back to my text books. Thanks for wasting my time - when they ask me about tooth decay I'll just write what you guys wrote, "teeth are great but they rot if you don't clean them" - that ought to secure my A* for sure, right?
Scott — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 12:13:00
i think that you books are great because there were alot of things which i was not cleared about and when ever i open the book and read the things you say really makes a different i was happy that i spent my money on the books you give out because if i when to another book and read what they said i would be bored to death, everything you say and write in your books really make a different to me and my friends. thank you PS.. you really made some people enjoy doing there work and i am one of them.. thank you Beejal Shah
Beejal Shah — , UK — 03 Jun 2001 at 11:05:00
Are you going to set up a website like the bitesize revision one ur books are great and i hope i get a good grade at the sats if i do its all down to you thanks love sarah
Sarah Thompson — DEVON , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 21:18:00
Hi I wondered if you could do online answering of questions from your answer book i.e. would it be possible for you to have your key sage 3 science answer book online for pupils to mark there own work
Harry Reid — , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 18:56:00
for all you people who think the jokes are **** why did you come on to the website or continue reading the books in the first place? I think they are xcellent and if you don't think they are, then it's you who needs to get a life (and it's not eddy izzard, it's jack dee!)
Emma — , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 17:45:00
hey... thanx 4 helping me through my GCSEs last year, due to a pants physics teacher, i had a U at the January mock. I bought the revision guides, and ignored them because my teacher refused to have them in the lessons saying that all I needed to do was listen to her... yeah right. My entire class bought the books, and we all managed to pull our grades up - I ended up with an AA for science. the point of this is really to let everyone know that it's never too late to revise, you can do it if you put the effort in NOW, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you make some more AS and Alevel guides... how do you expect me to pass without them?
Kirsty — Kingston, Surrey , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 17:41:00
I think that your GCSE revision books are really helpful. I'm starting my exams on Monday and your books have made revision fun. I learn more from your books than I actually do at school. Thankyou for making them. They're great!!!! Good luck to everyone else who has any exams soon.
SARAH — , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 17:07:00

It's great these books
derek cunningham — , UK — 02 Jun 2001 at 15:51:00
Great GCSE books! I find the geography book particularly informative, since it matches the OCR syllabus well, in comparison to, say, the Letts or Collins guides. The good point about these books is the colourful layout and the underscoring of the important words (great for skimming). If anyone from the publisher ever reads this entry or let alone the guestbook, I hope CGP would produce more books on A-level, especially more on the math, and perhaps start books on the sciences.
Vincent — , Hong Kong — 02 Jun 2001 at 14:15:00

I LOVE THIS SITE!!! IT REALLY HELPS YOU FOR YOUR COMING EXAMS! I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED BOOKS FROM THIS SITE AND THEY HELPED ME SOOOOOO MUCH. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THANK-YOU!
SALLY BUCKSTON — , UK — 01 Jun 2001 at 20:42:00
I think that you should have the whole revision guides uploaded on to you site, you would get a lot more people going on to you site, plus the people would learn more and pass their GCSE and Sats and Alevels. Tom Cullen

I wish there was a publication(s) for French prior to GCSE standard - my 2 kids (ages 9 and 11) at independent school are struggling with it and are in 2nd and 4th years of French respectively. It needs a really fun approach like yours.... I got a first in French at Bristol but can't help without a really good book!!!

I think your book are the best because my sister is not very good at maths but with your books she is doing better
