As a teacher, I have witnessed how successful your books have been in supporting children (including my own) in KS2 tests. When a sample year 3 ICT workbook appeared in my pigeonhole I was on the phone immediately for copies for all that year group. They love it and it's structure has aided skill development and I hope you produce a book for year 4 before they get there! In particular the DUCK GAME has been a real success, linking with forces in science, planes in D&T and a parent offering us rides in his hot air balloon. Big thank you on behalf of the children and make sure you send me samples of further publications in ICT.

Johanna McKay — Ryde School, Ryde , UK — 30 Jan 2002 at 20:37:00

I think that this website should add in a test to revise over the web so that more and more children will start to view your website

i'm just going to buy a 'Twelfth Night' book for my SATS and hopefully it will be very useful, as all the language is scaring me. I think you should consider doing Geography GCSE books and ICT books as they are the subjects i am doing next year. Please Reply I already have your Science Revision Guide Levels 5-7 for SATS and it is very helpful. Thanks a lot. Phil Rann Emley AFC no.1 fan

I've got five revision guides to help with my weak subjects and they are great. Good work for making them so fun!

Claire — , UK — 30 Jan 2002 at 15:00:00

I think you r books are fabulous! I was wondering if you could make some books for shakespeare and classical civilisation at GCSE level, that would be really helpful! Keep up the good work. Also, it would be good if you could do mini revision guides, or dictionaries. Or tips for success in all subjects. That would excellent.

I think that the CGP books are the best on the market. They helped me and all my friends through out SATS and GCSE'S. I would like to ask however, if there are any plans to add more revision books for the A-Levels as all the other books are more expensive and not as good. Thank you for your advice, Laura

Laura McMaster — Bramley, Leeds , UK — 28 Jan 2002 at 12:46:00

Great books + site an'all, but I NEED LATIN REVISION GUIDES!!!!!!THEY DO NOT EXIST AND I NEED HELP!!!!There may not be the largest amount of people taking Latin GCSE, but no-one makes Latin revision guides, so if you did you'd be the only ones and make lots of money cos everyone who does it needs help with Latin cos I'm not the only one and did I mention the profits you'll make so have I convinced you yet? MAKE LATIN LANGUAGE/LITERATURE REVISION GUIDES!!!!GO ON!! YOU NEED THE MONEY!!!!! AND I NEED HELP!!!!and I'm not talking about mental help, either. Well, maybe that too, but that's another story...

Jo — , UK — 28 Jan 2002 at 12:05:00

I think your website is great. I got key stage2 science from your company. I am really reading it as I have to do my sats in may. There is one tip I can give you on your website though and it is that you should pratice papers that children can do so that they learn even more better than reading all the time.

Where do I get The Catalog ??

Anshul — Pinner, Middlesex , UK — 26 Jan 2002 at 14:04:00

COMPLAINT- I spend time going through your CATALOGUE selecting all the necessary books for my daughter. I find when I switch to order that the book print reference is useless and I need the THE ISBN NUMBER instead!!! WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!!! IF A REFERENCE IS SIGNIFICANT WOULD NOT IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO CLEARLY AND DISTINCTLY IDENTIFY IT as such. I could say a lot more about sloppy thinking. Which is the real problem in the current education system but I see you have limited the space available!!!!

richard nolan — , UK — 26 Jan 2002 at 11:27:00

your books are useless they make me confused can you make your books more clearer

Anonymous — , UK — 22 Jan 2002 at 15:09:00

these books are really cool 2 understand from, but i think it would be EVEN better, for this website if u could add revision techniques and tests, like BBC do. coz' im sure u would have loads of viewers and lots of ppl would be interested, if u stick with the same strategy on the books-the simple, pictured, coloured, (sadly humoured) it would help EVERYBODY whose not only studying for modules and the GCSE exams (like me), but those KS2 ppl 2! I came on here cos i thought their might be like mini tests, but when i just saw that its only for ordering books, it really put me off!! ALTHOUGH the books are fab, and understandable, i was just thinking.... anyway, this is prob becoming rude, but it does say comment! and i consider myself as a guest! la la ok then PLZ PLZ PLZ do that take care all the CGP writers! Ciao 4 now! have FUN

Anonymous — , UK — 22 Jan 2002 at 14:58:00

I love your books, they're just the best. They're ace. Nuff said, no messing. Your books are ace. Thanks for having a really good stab at making them funny, it worked. Especially the "ace paper bag" comment, it was brilliant. Really. My life has gone up a notch on the Luxury Scale. If there was ever a comedy award in the field of education, I say that CGP should win it, hands down. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. There was one part, I believe it was of the late Albert Einstein making

Jonathon Creek — Heffle Land , UK — 18 Jan 2002 at 17:25:00

sarah hajibagheri — Hampstead Garden Suburb, Londo, UK — 17 Jan 2002 at 18:39:00

cgp is very helpful but i just think their too expensive although the books really really do help. i hada few books but that was from school where they give them to you cheap! tia

tia — , UK — 17 Jan 2002 at 18:05:00

I was very impressed with these books and now in certain subjects our school is providing them for free.

Laura Oldham — Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire , UK — 17 Jan 2002 at 09:32:00

I love these books. i'm doing my gcse mocks rite now and there tons of help. my friends r all jealous and r all gonna order the series too! thanks sooo much...oh and one question r there books with only questions in, even if there 4 teachers?

Sara Parkinson — , Hong Kong — 17 Jan 2002 at 09:17:00

Although your English and Maths KS2 books are well thought out, well arranged, easy to use, understandable and indeed a great resource, I am afraid you REALLY went wrong with the Science book. This is completly the oposite of all the aforementioned point. The study book in no way corresponds with the question book. Oh, it does if you thumb backwards and forewards for 20 minutes or so, but have you tried going direct to one of your child's weaker subject areas part way through the book and then picking it up from there? Obviously not. you have definately lost the plot with this publication. I shall endevour to look elsewhere to see what your rivals have to offer in future - AND pop down to look at the books at WH Smith so that I can see what I'm buying first, rather than a blind purchase from the local school and bowing to peer pressure. No, it has to be said "What a disappointment". Totally unusable. A dustbin job. Unfriendly.Frustrating experience.COULD DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Dave — , UK — 16 Jan 2002 at 20:32:00

I just really love your books, they make me feel so great and emotional. I read the Maths book at every spare moment I have got ( I have read it 6 times now). The colours that you use are so amazing and the writing is just truly inviting. All the funny comments in there are just so well, funny! I am really looking forward to my exams so I can use my knowledge from the books. I also love the fact that there are non-calculator methods in the maths book, BRILLIANT. I recommend that everyone should buy CGP books!

Big Dave — , UK — 16 Jan 2002 at 20:26:00

As a Consultant, I consult parents of pupils who are not achieving their potential. I teach pupils of all Key Stages. I find your Resources invaluable. They are rescuing teachers and children from a system that currently fails them. I also love the price! I particularly appreciate the Practice Test/Exam Papers. Would you consider publishing Books and Workbooks for teaching Languages . I particularly need Resources for teaching Italian. Maybe they are already in the pipeline. Are you addressing the teaching of Phonics? I have an idea, that has proved successful with some of my pupils, I have no time to publish. Interested?

Catherine Broadbent — The Alice Smith School (Equine, Malaysia — 14 Jan 2002 at 16:17:00

your books are patronizeing and i expect my genuian comment to be found in the gest book.

john-milne — , UK — 14 Jan 2002 at 15:51:00

some of the language you use to attract young people to use your books acherly sounds patronizing and most young people think that it spoils the books, the same can be said for your jokes which are incedently not funney.

john milne — truro, cornwall , UK — 14 Jan 2002 at 15:47:00

your books are the best i have got everyone of them

I think this website and your books are great we use them for SATS revision in my class

Hannah Marie Wickham — , UK — 11 Jan 2002 at 20:16:00

As a teacher and parent of two teenage sons your revision guides have been excellent. Starting with KS2 right up to GCSE - I've got them all! I teach Year 6 and value the books as a necessary resource every teacher should have access to. As an ICT Co-ordinator I have a copy of the Year 3 ICT Workout and wonder if you intend publishing a Year 4, 5, or 6 ICT Workout in the near future?

Jan Flower — Fleet, Hampshire , UK — 10 Jan 2002 at 22:19:00

I wrote a comment a while ago about the possibility of SAT practice papers and hey presto they are here. Thanks very much. They will be great for my own son who is year6 as well as the pupils in year 5 and 6 that I tutor. One is to try for Common Entrance and they consider SATs Level 5 (or above) to be on a par with what they require. Thanks again

Good that you can see all of the different books, but some don't seem to exist any more (eg. KS2 Shakespeare Macbeth). Publication Dates would be useful.

Satbir — Harrow, Middlesex , UK — 08 Jan 2002 at 21:22:00

I'm writing to say a big thank u 2 u all @ CGP! I am doing revision @ the moment and the science book 4 GCSE is really gr8! R u doing separate science books or r u just sticking with the double award books? Y don't u do a music revision guide book as u seem 2 do almost everything else, cause that would be really useful and I bet that other people agree with me! Do u do design technology books for GCSE level, cause that would also come in handy! I attend the Thomas Hardey school and although it is a really good school and does not get boring (o.k that is a bit strange but its true) I find that these books definitely beat school lessons (apart from practicals). THANKS ALOT AGAIN!!

jaspreet — , UK — 07 Jan 2002 at 14:16:00

I am outraged that you didn't post my last message. I am currently undergoing the bizarre necessity for revision and it has turned me into a bitter twisted human being. Was my last message too risqué' for your angelic precious students that leave positive and constructive messages? mmmmmm... Your books I have to say are passable, but there tends to be too many colours and information on one page to have to then be regurgitated into a comprehensible answer to a banal question. Your ironic quips are occasionally amusing But one on EVERY page is - for the reader (and also the victim) unbearable. The patronising tone in which i am supposed to Study GCSE biology is second to none of a Social worker.....but hey if this gets me through my GCSe's and into the right sixth form who gives a Monkeys' if its any of the above. However If I fail then It is not the teacher, the school or the system but 'CGP books' I will be blaming for my downfall. Amen.

Victim of Revision — , UK — 07 Jan 2002 at 12:56:00

i think the cgp books are brill they teach you the fun way i mean strict teachers get you nowhere fun teachers make you brainy .to me the books are great they crack little jokes like :work hard to get a head , but ive already got a head . do you see what i mean they encourage you to read on but like me i have to he he he . i think the books are fab and i want more people to read them .

Jawad — , UK — 06 Jan 2002 at 18:38:00

I think that you should let people look in the books so they can study not just tell you how much they are to buy them. But I think your books are brilliant and funny especially the English ones, I go to Claremont Junior school and they use them all the time.

Rhianna — Moss Side, Manchester , UK — 06 Jan 2002 at 16:29:00

Alexandra Harvey — , UK — 04 Jan 2002 at 23:15:00

I own the gcse geography guide and i find it very helpful even just with class work.

Rebecca — Newcastle , UK — 04 Jan 2002 at 20:52:00

I have found your books most useful especially the key stage three Mathematics Revision Guide. I am not sure whether your books contain all the information needed to gain top grades in GSCE, if they don't then you should noted about it.

Ryan McNally — Macclesfield, Cheshire , UK — 04 Jan 2002 at 20:04:00

I disagree with page 53 of the GCSE double science biology revision guide. eye colour is not discontinuous. eyes can be greeny-blue, greeny-brown etc. also, one eye could be green and the other blue; one famous example is David Bowie. Also, why don't you call it discrete data, like in maths, it would make life a lot easier.

Lei — , UK — 04 Jan 2002 at 18:48:00

Great books, I'd recommend them to anyone studying for exams!

i am 13 and revising for January exams - i was disappointed as i thought you could actually receive help on revision . The titles and options were misleading to me. this site is actually just selling merchandise ,not a revision aid for young people - like it appears to be.

sarah f — , UK — 03 Jan 2002 at 15:12:00

I found the books really help with revision, esp. maths which by and large is the worst subject ever invented to torture us with. also i want to know just who is the guy who writes it cos its helpful to have something amusing when you are in the depths of despair whilst revising -cheers!

Chloe — Dorset , UK — 02 Jan 2002 at 20:28:00

Of course I'm not the only one who says this but your books are ace!! They're so funny!..AND CHEAP. Lets hear it 4 CGP.Hooray!!!:)

Kristy Yeung — , UK — 02 Jan 2002 at 18:36:00

I think these books are useful but you should make them for music, drama, religious education and all the technologies because they are the ones that no-one can ever find a revision guide for, and they're the hardest!

Becca Jones — , UK — 02 Jan 2002 at 16:47:00

These revision guides are amazing, and the workbooks are a great tool to revise with! I can finally understand GCSE higher maths, so phew!!!
