Guestbook Archive - October 2005

Hi everyone, I see it's still going well for you all. I thought I would let you know how it's going at college. I started in September this year and I am studying ICT and Entertainment Industry and AS English and AS Maths, but I am really confused by what my teacher has told me so I need your great books to help me! I have had a look through all your books and don't know which one is best — please help!! I turned to you because you were great through my GCSE's. I hope to hear from you soon.

Mitch Relph — Hornchurch, United Kingdom — 30 Oct 2005 at 20:54:10

Hi, I think you should create books for GCSE Leisure and Tourism. I'm in year 10 and would really appreciate your books to help me through the exams. So far you got me 7's in my year 9 SAT's. Your books are great....thanks.

*Jo* — Preston, United Kingdom — 30 Oct 2005 at 13:33:24

Your books got me 3 A-stars, thank you!

Karan — Hounslow, United Kingdom — 30 Oct 2005 at 12:13:01

CGP is a fun way of learning. It helps you learn and it is funny. I always get CGP books — because of them I got level 5 in all my subjects! Now as I'm moving on I still use CGP books at Key Stage 3.

Dharti — London / Alperton, United Kingdom — 30 Oct 2005 at 10:21:16

Help, my son is using your GCSE Maths Work book Foundation stage but I don't have an answer book. Can't buy one separately in shops only. Multi-pack please! Send me one - how much does it cost?

Janice Gray — Ashford, United Kingdom — 29 Oct 2005 at 21:28:30

The books are good and I hope they'll get me good grades in my GCSEs.

Simbert — Southall, United Kingdom — 29 Oct 2005 at 21:22:27

I found your Maths AS Level books extremely helpful and it helped me pass my AS Maths. However, you do not do A2 versions for C3, C4 and M2. I would really like these books to be produced as I find your books easiest to revise from.

Ben — Walthamstow, United Kingdom — 29 Oct 2005 at 17:19:14

Can you show me how to work out the answers on Median and range questions? Thank you.

Martin — Gwent, United Kingdom — 28 Oct 2005 at 20:09:27

I hate revising and I think you should make little tests at the end of the books or after every section to make sure we understand it all. It would help. Thanks!

Sam — Oxford, United Kingdom — 28 Oct 2005 at 17:40:37

Yo, CGP!!!! Your books are great - they helped me through my SATs and I got triple 5 because of them! Thanks a lot!

Kishan — London, United Kingdom — 28 Oct 2005 at 12:00:02

Hi! I have found ordering books from this website (so far!) very successful. I especially like the 20% discount offer when spending £40 or more! Well done and keep producing excellent books! x

Lucy Cable — Alsager, United Kingdom — 27 Oct 2005 at 22:03:26

I am a Librarian in an FE college and I've ordered lots of your books in the past for our GCSE and A Level students. I think they're great. I like the layout, the positive attitude and the injection of humour. I've just started learning German, so what better way to get me going than some of your books! So I've just put an order in and I'm looking forward to getting them very much!

Jenny Berrisford — North London, United Kingdom — 27 Oct 2005 at 18:13:14

How long does it take for your books to arrive, once ordered over the internet?

Amy — Manchester, United Kingdom — 27 Oct 2005 at 13:19:51

Your books are great! I'm now in year 11 and in all of my exams so far, I have received nearly full marks and I'm predicted an A* in Science!! I would recommend your books to anyone who finds revising hard.

Kate the Great — Norwich, United Kingdom — 27 Oct 2005 at 13:15:29

Fantastic books - they got me full marks. Thank you!

Jo — Leeds, United Kingdom — 26 Oct 2005 at 21:06:57

I think you should have more revision guides to help kids with educational exams. There simply is not enough for them to revise from on this website.

Could you make some revision books for the rest of the Edexcel A2 Maths and Further Maths. Does anyone know where to find books for AS/A2 Maths - Edexcel board for core and mechanics?? I already have the ones available on this site but they don't have them all.

Jamie — Burnley, United Kingdom — 26 Oct 2005 at 13:46:31

Your books helped me get a 7 on my SATs - thank you. Your test papers are brill!! Keep up the good work!!!

Tash — West bromwich, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2005 at 15:18:48

I would have wanted a KS3 Maths Study Guide (like the KS1 and KS2) - instead I have bought the revision and practice book. You would also need to include on the shopping cart system the ability to request a catalogue (so you could get one as you order).

Kim Clegg — Lower Cambourne, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2005 at 14:59:20

Please send me a practice SATS test for KS3 for Maths, English and Science as I am sending it to those in need in Africa.

Nareser — London, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2005 at 14:56:51

I think CGP books are great but they lack detail :( Do you think you could do a revision book for Russian?

Jexxy — London toot toot!, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2005 at 12:19:26

Hi, I'm just starting to revise for my GCSE Mocks and I have decided to use your books to help as they were a great help for my Year 9 SATs - thanks!

Jill — Penrith, Cumbria, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 21:55:46

Anwar Ali — Hackney, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 20:29:44

We have regularly ordered books from CGP at the school I work at and have always received excellent service. I have no worries about ordering from you.

J Colley — Burgess Hill, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 18:00:16

CGP are the best... they really help me. I think they should have more printable pages on the website because it is far easier to do quick revision for minor tests. Thanks a lot, CGP!

F Meghjee — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 17:32:20

I think CGP books are incredible. They helped me with my Year 9 SATS but there is one problem... I can't seem to find any GCSE Psychology books. Can you help?

Denise Morris — Alford, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 15:39:33

Rebecca — London, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 14:44:12

I wish I had known about your site ages ago when I first decided to teach my son at home. I have found that your books cover everything that I need and there are also work books! These are really easy for me to file away, ready for when we next have a visit from the education authority to see how things are going.

Ann Leadbeater — Leeds, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 12:18:18

I think your books are great but I think you could maybe improve them by adding Italian and Leisure and Tourism to your books.

Rachel — Isle Of Wight, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2005 at 10:04:34

I am in Year Six and I'm studying for my SATs. I am just about to order some books as last year in my practice SATs, they helped me a lot. I am sure they will this year as well! I think who ever wrote all these books is the most talented and amazing writer on the face of the planet.

Can't you put the answers on your website?

Halimah — Leicester, United Kingdom — 23 Oct 2005 at 00:20:21

Hi! I find CGP books are very useful and fun as well. I used the AS Science books. I found them to be the best. A2s are harder but your explanations helped me to understand better. I hope you can carry on writing the A2 books well. Thanks!

Daniel Kassai — Manchester, United Kingdom — 19 Oct 2005 at 20:44:53

Hi, I'm in Year 10 and I have to say your books are great. I must admit some of the gags are terrible but the material other than that is pure gold! I had some problems with your GCSE Science books, but your English and maths and, well, everything else is AMAZING. You've helped me out so far this year with a lot of hard stuff - thanks. Top stuff! I'd make some more A-level books if I were you because, if i keep using your books, I'm sure to pass with flying colours!

Flava Sava — Battersea, United Kingdom — 19 Oct 2005 at 20:44:43

HI! I found your books so helpful during my GCSEs. I am now at university, doing Law and an Italian begineers course. Any chance of an Italian revision guide coming out anytime soon or even a law one?

Micky — Antrim, United Kingdom — 19 Oct 2005 at 18:10:15

Hello there, old friends. I am just writing again to tell you how much you inspire me. I would just like to tell you the song I was writing is now finished and I'm hoping to record it and watch it enter the charts at no. 1! I hope to follow the good example of my Idol, Rod Stewart. I love his mole. I have cravings for cheese so I am going to go now but expect more reports on my song-writing progress. Cheerio!

Hi, the address box should allow more characters in a line, should not change the case of characters and should not put any blank line between text lines. Thanks, Linda

Linda — , Hong Kong — 18 Oct 2005 at 06:43:11

There is nothing displayed on the 'Product Range' page, it has been impossible to select the items I want and order them. This is very frustrating, I had to ring to order the books I had last time.

Gillian Woodhull — Ongar, United Kingdom — 17 Oct 2005 at 23:52:35

I could not change the invoice address as suggested in the instructions (About Me / My Details). However, the CGP website is much more user friendly since the last time I used it a few months ago.

Ambreen — Epsom, United Kingdom — 17 Oct 2005 at 21:45:30

I've just got to say to you that I have been using CGP books since I was 10 years old for my key stage 2 SATS exams. I have used them for every exam I've ever had (even in my GCSE's). Your books are absolutely excellent - much better than any other books. I am very impressed by all your Science books. I recently got my GCSE results and I obtained an A* in science just by using your books. You deserve so much credit in what you do, because without these books I'd be nowhere in life. I am 16 years old at the moment and I am using your books for my A levels. But....can you please do a book for AS and A2 level Statistics? Well done to all the staff who write and publish such brilliant books.

Hi! I'm in year 10 and I have just started my GCSE courses. I recently read a comment on the separate Science Revision guide stating that the book wasn't very good. I was just wondering have you made any improvements or do you know why he/she said this? Could you get back to me soon as I want to purchase books soon. Thanks.

Jenni — England, United Kingdom — 15 Oct 2005 at 22:32:03

CGP Revision Guides have helped me achieve my best through thick and thin at KS3 and GCSE. When I got to A-Level in 2004, I thought - no more fun - CGP don't do books for A-Level. But I was pleasantly surprised when I found out you had just introduced books for A-Level! You published AS Business and AS ICT - just what I needed to keep me amused during those long hours of study. Hopefully, CGP will be able to carry on their fantastic series through A2 and help me on the road to more top results!

Matthew Bewers — Omagh, United Kingdom — 15 Oct 2005 at 22:24:25

Do not use these books if you're aiming for higher than a B in the sciences at GCSE - however if you are happy with a B stick to them, very easy to revise from, thanks - I just had to use other text books to fill in the gaps...

Phoebe — , United Kingdom — 09 Oct 2005 at 20:34:37

Mrs Sue Heazel — Billericay, United Kingdom — 05 Oct 2005 at 20:16:20

I have bought the KS2 Science revision book but have lost it. I have homework set for tonight concerning pages 12-13. I can't seem to be able to view these pages on the website - help!

Sarah McCullagh — Ipswich, United Kingdom — 05 Oct 2005 at 18:37:43

In my opinion, the Of Mice And Men and An Inspector Calls text books are no good for anyone aiming above a D in English Literature. They only go so far. A person aiming for a grade C or above will not get much help out of these. I read the guides myself but only the books and my written notes helped me achieve a grade C.

Jamie Porter — Carlisle, United Kingdom — 04 Oct 2005 at 10:27:36

Thank you so much - your revision books are excellent for my pupils here in Egypt and reasonablly priced too!!! Very prompt delivery and always accurate - too good to be true! Thank you

Caroline Minoprio — El Gouna, Egypt — 03 Oct 2005 at 22:19:34

I think your books are really great but every year you should bring out new editions and stop using the same editions for the next year. However, you still do great books!

Ajay — London, United Kingdom — 03 Oct 2005 at 20:25:43

The CGP Books are absolutely brilliant - they helped me passed all my exams!

Your books are really useful and gave me all the necessary revision for my KS3 SAT's. I will continue to use your books through GCSE and A-Level courses.

Farah Nisar — , United Kingdom — 01 Oct 2005 at 13:43:05

Hi there. My friend Norman Pugh told me about your books a few weeks ago, and gosh was I knocked off my feet. As soon as I got my own copy of GCSE Science I read it from cover to cover in one go... I just couldn't put it down! I just had to congratulate you on your enormous success — and reading through all these comments, it can easily be said that you have your very own fan club coming along. And I just love what you've done with this website. Well done! Your books have gone down a storm at my chess club, thanks. P.S. Just a thought, wouldn't it be great to have one of your books for astronomy? That would be fab. Please consider it.
