Guestbook Archive - June 2006

My eight year old daughter is half way through KS2 'Light and Shadows'. A very difficult topic for any eight year old, I would suggest. The quips on the top and bottom of some of the pages try to make light of it all and end up being corny in their approach viz - page 8 - 'ask your teacher or some passing busybody for help': page 9 - 'time to swing back in your chair and reward yourself with chocolate'; page 12 - 'kind of like this'. Then a pat on the back for CGP on the penultimate page - 'Boo. Hiss. We're different .... gonna enjoy'. I'm darn sure I wasn't having all this instilled in me at the age of eight - can't even understand some of it now, and that's done me no harm!!!!

Hi, I need help badly with algebra formulae. I am doin homework at the moment on it and it's got to be in for tomorrow. Can you send me some helpful revision bits please?

Georgia — King, United Kingdom — 27 Jun 2006 at 20:47:03

Your books are really helpful. They have helped me a lot in my GCSEs — they're really helpful and really funny too!!

Neesd — Leeds, United Kingdom — 27 Jun 2006 at 20:01:57

Just wanted to say, I do a lot of internet shopping and your site is great to use, and very fast delivery, with free postage. Fantastic.

Sue Miller — Ascot, United Kingdom — 27 Jun 2006 at 16:33:24

Hi, so far CGP boooks have been a great help but could you please publish a GCSE Dance theory book?!

Hannah — Winchester, United Kingdom — 27 Jun 2006 at 16:14:29

Well all I can say is your books are great , but there's only one thing — there's no KS3 geography notes. You need to add that. Thanks.

Tami — Lagos, Nigeria — 26 Jun 2006 at 21:21:39

Your books are great!! Used them for key stage 3 SATS and now using them for GCSE. Great colour, great presentation and loads of information. Helped me a lot so far. Keep up the good work : ) Highly recommended.

Stick — Spennymoor, United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 20:18:28

OMG...I just got levels 7 7 8 in my KS3 SATs...your books are sooo helpful and funny...

Coolgirl — B'mingham, United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 19:42:51

What is this site about, I want revision on the computer for free, not a catalogue of books, what's everyone happy about this website for?

Matthew — Swansea, United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 19:05:08

Some books in the CGP range are good - some not so. I've found the 'Head Start to AS Chemistry/ Head Start to AS Biology' very useful so far for bridging the gap.

Izzy — Suffolk, United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 15:15:00

I love these books — they help me revise a lot! Modules tomorrow! Wish me luck...

Ash — , United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 10:26:49

Thanks again for your superb service. Also, the PSHE book is so well written and informative - I learnt some things from it and I'm 46!! Hahah!!

Jane Napier — Southampton, United Kingdom — 26 Jun 2006 at 09:55:46

Worst I have ever seen!!! These books are rubbish. Rubbish Information and rubbish pictures. Improve them!!!!!!! and your website too. I will never buy your books again and this is my last time that I am visiting this website ! Throw all your books in the bin!!!!!!!!!

Prakriti — Middlesex, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 19:20:53

Your books are great and it really helped me for SATS!!!

Pinku — Southall, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 19:00:40

My daughter is home tutoring three boys and has used several of your books: she finds these very easy to use. Thank you.

Mrs S Parker — Dorchester, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 18:11:48

I like your books, but do you do them for BTEC too?

Sara — , United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 16:57:02

Very, very, very, very, very, very, very good books!! Thanks to your books I passed my Science modules!! I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't discovered your books!

Michelle — Northern Ireland, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 16:45:07

I read in the back of one of your revision guides that you do a free catalogue that shows all the books that you do. I was wondering how you order one as I'm starting my GCSEs in September and my local bookshop does not have all of the books that I need in stock so I was wondering if the subjects were covered by your range. Read that little comment on the inside back cover of the KS3 Maths level 5-8 book and I didn't think I ought to tell the manager he's a clown, lol!

Kim — Wiltshire, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 12:23:24

I am changing year group and key stage in September. Maybe you ought to be blasting all primary teachers with an email to remind them to order early for September if they are changing curriculum and age group classes. Many primary teachers change in September.....

Adrian Joice — Hull, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2006 at 08:45:49

Your books are a great help to me. I am in year 5 and I am studying for my 11+. So far so good with your books. Thank you, CGP.

S — Manchester, United States of America — 24 Jun 2006 at 22:14:15

(Commenting on book SRE41, GCSE OCR Double Award Science, Staged Assessment - Year Ten Revision Guide

Your books are just the best.. sooo much to the point....carry on with the wicked supplies!

Mariam — , United Kingdom — 23 Jun 2006 at 17:39:10

Oour science dept has been enthusing pupils with your guides for years. Little quibble with AQA A revision guide, p43. They aren't 'atoms' in the metallic bonding model - they're ions. Otherwise the model doesn't work or explain.

Tony Richardson — Bridgnorth, United Kingdom — 23 Jun 2006 at 10:59:41

This is very helpful!

Amba — Mansfield, United Kingdom — 23 Jun 2006 at 09:36:12

Sometimes I think I'm a little bit colour struck by the amount of colourful material in your books...you could tone it down a bit! Lol.

Femy — , United Kingdom — 22 Jun 2006 at 22:34:46

This website is ok — I think it has helped me revise!

Vicky — Amesbury, United Kingdom — 22 Jun 2006 at 19:53:21

Your books are enjoyable to read and revise from. I was wondering, do you have a GCSE Astronomy book to keep my mum off my back?

Maddie — Chichester, United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2006 at 20:25:24

Hi, I love these books — they are so good!!! Thank you for making them. If I had not read these books, I don't think I would have passed my GCSEs!

Ali — Leeds, United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2006 at 18:06:49

I have a Statistics GCSE exam tomorrow! I hope your books are good for stats, otherwise I am so going to fail! Well, your books worked for me doing my SATS, so I hope they are good at GCSE level too! Wish me luck!

Helen — Market Drayton, United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2006 at 15:22:09

Do you have the revision guides in different languages, like a Maths guide in the French language? That would be a really big help to me and my friend! merci x

Amy — Landrake, Cornwall, United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2006 at 12:37:28

Hi!! It's me lol! Just revising and your books do help even though I still find it a bit confusing. Oh well, getting there...

Madhya — , United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 20:56:04

As everyone else says, these books are great. They are so much more entertaining than all the other books. When I was revising for my GCSE's I only used the CGP's. A: Because they're very useful and... B: Because my normal School notes were complete rubbish (my fault of course!). I just wish there was a book for AS Classical Civilisation.

Ian Davis — Wetherby, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 20:54:28

I'm stuck on my revision :( and my modules are in a week. I just don't understand Maths but the books are great, X.

Gemma — , United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 19:42:23

I absolutely love your books and have used them for all of my GCSEs and ASs, however moving on to A2 I have not been able to locate an A2 Maths book. Does one exist and if not why?!

Lara — Suffolk, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 19:06:28

I think this is a very good website for children. I really like this website. I think you should add homework sheets that I can print off.

GursimraN — Wolverhampton, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 17:09:45

This web site is ok, but Minanan said that it was rubbish!

Adam — Darfield, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 13:40:07

As one of thousands of people in the uk, we home educate our child. The CGP book range helps us enormously and saves hours searching for information on the internet. They are so reasonably priced, especially in comparison to some of the companies jumping on the home education bandwagon.

Sharron Jones — Manchester, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 12:22:29

Your books are sweet mate. They helped me get 10 c. I ova proud. Safe blud. I come from Trinidad and Tobago.

Luke — Pimlico, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 09:38:14

Can you please try and get a interactive page for GCSE Spanish?

Jim — Manchester, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2006 at 09:29:22

I haven't read these books, but I've heard that they are well buff. I'm gonna go and buy on now!

Giovanna — London, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 20:58:26

The books are okay, seriously you should be looking at your notes or homeworks that teachers give you primarily. The revision books are useful for a skim through before exams to remember topics through association (for the sciences, the only ones we use, many topics are too simplified, but this is NOT your main source of teaching!)

Alan — Truro, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 20:43:08

I have just read some of the recent posts and wow you people are stupid! Maybe you just don't get the question and revision is very boring unless I use CGP. May I recommend some boring books for you instead...

Aaron — St Albans, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 20:31:37

These books help me so much. Thanks a lot CGP. I'm doing my exams until Thursday. Hopefully with your excellent books I'll pass. Please — I'm begging you here — please put up a languages and ICT interactive part on this website. I hope to travel the world and am already keen on technology and computers. Thanks a lot CGP.

Aaron — St Albans, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 20:21:22

"Your books are so poor, they made me fail my GCSEs. Thanks a bunch" QUOTE.
No, they didnt MAKE you fail your GCSE's, you did. Yes these books are poor if you use them on their own. You should use all your course notes, syllabus and these books to revise. Bet you only revised the day before. What do you expect????

Charlotte — Rainham, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 16:32:25

(Commenting on book STW41, GCSE Separate Sciences (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) Workbook (without answers)

This is the most pointless workbook I've ever bought. We didn't have the option of buying the answer book so you don't even know if youve got any of the questions right. What's the point of that????

Charlotte Biddle — Rainham, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 16:26:18

I really think your books are good. Hear the word test and think CGP. For all people out there using other guides, get your head on straight and buy CGP.

Maryam Batool — Nelson, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 16:23:08

Your books are amazing, I'm currently home schooled (but will be attending college in September to do a Math course!). Your Maths books are amazing and helped me to get my head straight :)

Georgina — Berkshire, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 15:27:24

Heya! I wish that you did revision guides for Food and Nutrition, but overall I LOVE your guides so much, they are sooo easy to learn from!

Sami — Exeter, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 14:04:35

Why are you saying this is a good revision site? Its revision is not good so don't go on this site.

Adam — Stokenchurch, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 11:48:09

Your books are great. It would be fab if there was an interactive ICT part, but apart from that A**.

Jasmin — London, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2006 at 10:28:14

Oh by the way, to people who say you can only get a C from these books, that is rubbish. At GCSE level it is pretty basic and if you use a few terms in your answers with some reasonable language then you will get the A. Learn from the CGP book and then make sure you use the key information; then you will get a C.

Ben — DUBAI, Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirate — 19 Jun 2006 at 07:57:06

Hi, go the big CGP Biology book and I was just wondering whether that was all I need for the extra modular section. Just it aint that much!! Hoping that is it all, this revision stuff is boring me now. Get back to me soon, exam in two days. Cheers.

Ben — Dubai, United Arab Emirates — 19 Jun 2006 at 07:51:20

I have a test — wish me luck!

Jes — Statty, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2006 at 19:19:59

Safe for your books — they helped me get 10 A*.

Tom — Enfield, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2006 at 17:53:02

PLEASE, PLEASe, PLEASE, PLEEEEEEEASE can you make Economics books for GCSE, AS and A2 because I know a lot of people who need them including myself.

Edward — Kent, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2006 at 16:40:29

Hiyaaa! This site is amazing! But where do I do all my work on the computer? It's slightly boring and I need to do revision on the PC — how do I do it! (Haz is soo confused, please help) xx

Haz — Wigan, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2006 at 13:42:56

The books are great. They really helped me revise. They are laid out great, easy to read, and the jokes are good as well. All my mates have the same opinions - really great. We need A-level books on : Economics, English language and literature, and DT resistant materials. We need them before September as well!
Keep up the great work though, and for all of you who are unsure, don't believe the slating posts, these are the best revision books.

Alex — London, United Kingdom — 17 Jun 2006 at 23:08:13

I thought your books were really helpful! However I'm doing OCR double award for science and you only seem to do modular science (EDEXCEL). It would been good if you had done it because the OCR books are boring and really tiring and they don't have jokes and stuff — but I have a Maths book and it's really useful. I'm currently in year 10 and next year it will help me loads. Thank you.

Amy — London, United Kingdom — 17 Jun 2006 at 19:20:45

Theses books are a valuable and indeed powerful revision aid when used properly. I find it quite odd when people say things like "honestly they don't tell you anything" - I have read many CGP books and they tell you everything you need (I am sure they don't publish blank pages). Keep up the good work CGP and continue to extend your range over more syllabuses and courses.

Dan — , United Kingdom — 17 Jun 2006 at 17:41:45

I think you should have more revision pages on your KS3 Maths site because I really needed help on something and you didn't have what I wanted .

Florence — Teddington, United Kingdom — 17 Jun 2006 at 14:47:20

I've been using your books at GCSE and they are really helpful, especially with subjects my teachers didn't explain so well. Just wondering if you produce any Economics AS revision guides?

Helen — , The Netherlands — 17 Jun 2006 at 12:19:10

I find it very hard to do revision on my own so I get my Dad to help me. He asks me questions out of the book and if I get them wrong we will revise that part.

Alex — Petersfield, United Kingdom — 17 Jun 2006 at 09:59:30

You've got so many books, I don't know which one to choose!

Ruqayya — Lancaster, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 20:45:21

Hi, I'm a student and I think the CGP books are great! I'm 11 and I'm going to secondary school soon, so I think they're great and that's only what I think.

Samantha — Beckenham, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 18:52:36

Think your books are great, really would like to see AS and A2 history covered though. Please?

Michael — Luton, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 18:42:01

All you people that are saying how bad these books are.......don't use them then? Some people find them helpful, some don't, people learn in different ways.

Moi — Suffolk, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 17:20:07

I don't like your books. They are so boring and I don't learn anything from them, they are supposed to help not make me bored and tired, they suck. None of my friends like them either. Honestly they don't tell you anything.

Darren — , United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 17:07:26

The CGP books are great, but why are there none beyond C2 at A level Maths. We need Mechanics, Statistics, C3 and C4 too!

Claire — Coventry, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 17:06:17

I would like to say that your books are fab, I learn a lot from them and it really does sink in, so thanks CGP.

Amy — n/a, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 17:05:08

Hi all! The CGP books are cool! I think I have got an A in my dual award Science even though I have never done it in school! I love the cheesy jokes on each page!! Makes revision a little cooler!

Amjad Ali — Rochdale, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 16:04:48

YOU ROCK!!!

Leanna — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 13:01:42

When I sat my ICT AS level exam I used your books for revision and found them really helpful and came out with a good grade. However I am not studying at A level and am about to take this exam and there was not an A level ICT book available — DO A WIDER RANGE AT A LEVEL!

Jenna — , United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2006 at 08:07:49

Please can we get a latin revision book? I get so stuck on ways to remember all the declensions and clauses etc, so please make one, before I fail! By the way, all your books are AMAZING!

Becky — Bath, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 20:52:05

I am really impressed with your revision guides. My school students and my adult night class find them easy to manage. They are well laid out and "student friendly". I am pleased I have found your website so I can order direct.

Marion Cook — Cramlington, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 20:35:52

I love your range of books, especially the study guides, although, I would like to order a catalogue like it says in the back of your KS3 Science Revision guide, could you please help me? P.S. Keep up the good work guys!

Connor — Margate, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 18:43:20

If you are reading this and you are thinking about buying one of these books - DON'T! You would seriously learn more by staring at a brick wall than reading one of these books — trust me!

Morgan — Sussex, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 18:15:34

These books are shocking. The quality of information provided is such that I couldn't understand why you would want to simplify every detail - I am in bottom set for Maths, and could understand the higher tier revision book with ease. Shouldn't you be aiming to challege students so as they can achieve their best, instead of providing dumbed-down versions of the information they really need?

Nikita — Eastmoor, Wakefield, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 18:02:45

Hey, your books are great! xx

Ameya — Blackpool, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 18:02:24

I think I passed thanks to your Science GCSE Double Award revision book. I was predicted a D grade at the start of my first GCSE year (Year 10). I achieved a grade B in all 6 Modular exams. In the final exam, I think I got about an B/A. Just have to wait for my results now. Too bad you guys don't have an Economics Revision guide but your Business Studies guide has most economic stuff in it, so it's all good. Thanks for your help. Oh and some of your jokes in your book are not funny, just annoying! Any jokes though are better than none!

Umar — Manchester, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 17:53:21

I would like to wish CGP all the best. Because of their fantastic books, I was able to pass my SATS at KS2 and KS3 and now by having used them for GCSE I shall pass! Thank you.

Rabia — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 14:32:11

I just want to tell you that I wouldn't have got through these GCSE's without your books BUT, your Separate Sciences Additional Material book is useless. I don't know why you can't arrange it the same way as the rest of your books, as they are so easy to follow. You do not have all the info needed, but instead have the whole of section 3 which is not needed in Biology at all. I just wanted to let you know that this was the only book I had difficulty with, and so have the rest of my class. Thank you, keep up the good work.

Nicola — Northwich, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 12:46:46

Need help for my exam in college for my English.

Naomi Dakin — Stocksbridge, United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 12:21:16

I think that your Shakespeare books do allow the tabloids more rope to hang around the neck of the British education system and, basically, make the children of that education system look incredibly stupid to the general public... But on the other hand I think that your practice exam papers for higher mathematics are fantastic, they provide excellent practice in preparation for the exams, as does the essential exam practice book. On the subject of the revision guides I find the layout very unappealing and so, after key stage 3, I stopped using the revision guides as their layout completely put me off my revision! But do listen to the tabloids (*winces*) seriously as adding humour to Shakespeare is not looked upon kindly by many of the older generation and we are being made to look stupid.

Adam — , United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2006 at 10:19:31

(Commenting on book BER51, AS-Level Biology Revision Guide (Edexcel)

The Revision Guide was completely invaluable, really helped to make the transition from GCSE to AS Level. The colourful pages and useful page layout makes it easy and even enjoyable to use! Thanks CGP.

Lilly — London, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 19:41:12

(Commenting on book STR41, GCSE Separate Sciences Additional Materials Revision Guide

CGP are the best revision books to buy. Doing separate science is much harder than double or single award science, but this book made revising for it twice as easy!!

Megan Smith — Wirral, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 18:52:19

Your Physics GCSE book for double award is really bad. There are no explanations for important and complex processes.

Anon — Harrogate, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 17:00:50

This is like totally unbelievable! These guys are like so amazing, it's not even funny. I don't know but I'm like so moved when I think about them!

Mike — Newtown, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 16:22:01

Your books are great! I haven't finished my exams yet so I shouldn't count my chickens, but they have been really helpful for me, especially the science ones. Just a thought that you may/not have considered.............CGP SONGS!!!! or spoken books (on CDs), because I'm an "audio learner" so I remember things when I listen to them; I always know the words to songs......but they aren't helpful in my exams! I can't be the only one, I think they'd help a lot of people........please consider it if you haven't before, thank you!

Student — Northampton, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 15:23:03

The books are brill! I flew through my exams but the website is dull and is hard to find your way around.

Jacob Polden — Fleet, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 15:19:08

Your books are so poor, they made me fail my GCSEs. Thanks a bunch.

Sally — London, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 14:44:17

Great site!

James Knight — Tenbury Wells, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 11:10:10

It is not fair, I can't get a book. I need a credit card, it is so not fair.

Suzanna — Benllech Anglesey, United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 07:39:54

I think your books are terrible. The jokes are clearly not funny and your attempts to dumb it down as much as possible or just patronizing. Also your continued jokes about the North are just pathetic. As it says on the back of one of your books I wish I was a goat because then I wouldn't have to read this dribble.

Bob — , United Kingdom — 14 Jun 2006 at 00:13:40

What a shame, my friend was showing me his A Level Maths book, and we did not find one joke, I finally thought that the writer of your books had grown up, alas there is a whole page on cows. This is not FUNNY. This is BEYOND a Joke, please stop.

King Mole — St.Albans, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 18:20:53

These books are a complete joke. Most of the facts contained within their pages is just common sense. Who wrote these books because I think they need to get a sense of humour and a life. These books maybe "fantastic" if you are aiming for a C but most of us are not, when will there be a revision book that caters for us with higer expectations.

Jerzy Nutter — St.Albans, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 18:15:04

Thank you for the EXCELLENT service you provide. The books I ordered were with me within 24 hours. Fantastic. Thanks again

I Hawksford — Cardiff, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 17:33:01

Ummmm yeah.......your books are narli........but why soooo much underlining? I mean there's only so much underlining a girl can take. I love the pix in the books though, they rule. XD

Katie Walker — Leicester, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 15:21:49

I think your books are great, and they really helped me through my exams. I think though you should not dumb down the content as much though. And also PLEASE WRITE A DRAMA GUIDE - YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW DIFFICULT ESSAY WRITING IS IN DRAMA! It's very confusing...

Ciara — London, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 14:57:01

CGP books have helped me an inconceivable amount throughout my GCSE course, especially in last-minute revision. They are particularly good for explaining exactly what you need to know for the exams. Everything is easy to understand and 'fun'. I agree with the English revision books being dumbed down, but in the case of the Complete Revision and Practice books, they are essential to any course. Exams are being dumbed down in general, anyway! However, in your 'Head Start' books and similar, you should probably explain things around the subject, things that will not be included in exams, but are interesting and give a fuller understanding of the subject as a whole, specifically for Science AS and A2 books. But thank you for all that you have helped me with over the past two years!

Student — Southwell , United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 14:26:00

Your books are great, they actually help me unlike my rubbish teachers, BUT on the downside don't you think £9.99 for a book is a bit on the expensive side? I paid WAY less for a book from another publisher that was very helpful. But I do like yours. Please could you make a revision guide for Drama GCSE! And PLEASE include how to write reviews of plays etc . That would be most helpful. Thank you though!

Adam — Cardiff - Best Place On Earth, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 12:50:26

Dumbing down Shakespeare will solve nothing. Although some quotes from your books were rather amusing. Amusing to the point where children are getting dumber and dumber every day.

Druss — Ipswich, United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2006 at 11:26:24

I think you should have more things to do with SATs because I am meant to look at the book to revise!! I need to!

Rachel — Newastle, United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2006 at 18:48:44

CGP YOU ARE FAB!! I would not be able to LIVE without you. I think I probably have every single one of your books for every single subject I've ever taken. I've just spent 3 hours using your GCSE Double Science Biology book and it is the most fantastic thing on the face of this earth!!! You lot should get a Nobel prize or something. I remember using your GCSE French workbook and getting 100% in the last exam I took... YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING, THANK YOU!

Holly — London, United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2006 at 17:40:39

Your books are good because they are fun, but they could be better in their content, because it's not very intelligent.

Stew — Ripon, United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2006 at 13:11:40

Could you please create an Italian and Welsh Book? You're cool.

Daniel Kenworthy — Haverhill, United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2006 at 12:15:23

Hi, I think CGP books are really great. They help me a lot, especially for my SATs.

Iqra — Ilford, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 21:43:22

I am glad to see students enjoying your books and it's wonderful that your humour and fun helps students to enjoy their work. But I have to agree with what the papers have said about the intellectual quality of the work. Students can do better in their exams. They are intelligent enough to understand Shakespeare. Try to improve the intellectual content of the work and stop teaching them nonsense that only makes educationalists think them illiterate. You are brilliant to make work fun for students. But please try to make it worthwhile and grade achieving.

Commentator_E — Ripon, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 19:13:08

PLEASE make a Russian revision guide. The books are great!

Chloe — , United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 14:56:21

Your revision and workbooks have been invaluable in helping my sons study for their GCSEs in the absence of text books from school. We have found they are very well designed and build confidence, with the humerous additions which make learning fun. Thank you very much.

Geraldine Wisson — East Cowes, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 13:10:43

i think this is very nice website and i was wondering if maybe you should start a book about economics or something similar?

Sara — Lusaka, Zambia — 11 Jun 2006 at 10:17:17

I think you should make a more interactive free site.

Hannah Allcock — Maidstone, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 09:22:48

Thank you, no seriously, thank you. All of you out there who had POH for science will know where I'm coming from!! THANK YOU SO MUCH CGP! I actually have a chance of passing Physics now!

Brendan — Armagh, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2006 at 00:27:49

Your books are great - they're so unique - they're the only revision books that actually keep you entertained! Keep it up CGP! But, please can you tell us more information about the new books for GCSE Science?

Daniella — London, United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 21:23:22

These books are great for all sorts of stuff, including revision. Best books ever!!!
(rating:10 outta 10!)

Fazmataz — Darwen, United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 20:35:55

I am a pupil and I think these books are probably the best made. They really do help. Carry on making them because they are five out of five star books.

(Commenting on book SHS41, GCSE Double Science Complete Revision & Practice

If you want to guarantee yourself an A* this is the book for you! Trust me, this is the best science book ever! Its got everything in lots of detail! I would say however do not buy the humanities revision guides as they do not even cover everything!

Bhav — , United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 19:03:20

Hi, can I please ask you to make a GCSE Latin revision book as I am really finding Latin hard to remember and your books are the only ones that are simple enough for me to get into my head!! Please please please please think about it!

Rachel Hall — Isle of Man, United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 16:43:10

If I fail my test I will not blame it on you but myself. Sorry.

Kieran — Epping, United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 15:14:15

I'm so sorry for dissing your books — they are great! Better than any other books in the universe. I'll never be mean again!

G Bailey — Gilford, United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 14:52:38

Put some work on the web. CGP books are the best!

Bob — , United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2006 at 11:01:38

The books are ok but they need to explain stuff a bit more.

Esther — London, United Kingdom — 09 Jun 2006 at 16:59:27

These books are really useful, but need some practice questions!

Shaz — Leicester, United Kingdom — 09 Jun 2006 at 14:23:29

Your books are ok. However, they do lack depth sometimes; they are very general and seem to vary slightly from exam questions (I'm talking about the Edexcel books for Double Science). But overall, good for quick revision.

Chebby — London, United Kingdom — 09 Jun 2006 at 13:35:09

I don't get it. Why don't you just have the work you have in the books? Instead of buying it, you should put the book online to work on instead.

Ayman — Durham, United Kingdom — 08 Jun 2006 at 20:24:09

CGP make the greatest, funniest revision books alive! I love the way they make you learn everything that is in the book.

Busta — London, United Kingdom — 08 Jun 2006 at 18:14:00

It is a very fun book to work on.

Scott — London, United Kingdom — 08 Jun 2006 at 08:13:45

I do not understand the point of simplifying information to such a point where it is almost useless and so students end up writing complete nonsense in their final exams as a result of the rubbish they learn from your poor books.

G Bailey — Guildford, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 23:02:03

(Commenting on book EHS41, GCSE English Complete Revision & Practice

Is it any wonder that record numbers of GCSE aged children are deemed illiterate when they are taught such rubbish in their textbooks.

G Bailey — Guildford , United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 22:58:05

Ignore EVERYTHING that the papers have churned out about CGP books today - THESE BOOKS ROCK! They are so helpful, it's unbelievable.

Gareth — Ashford, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 20:25:30

Thanks for making the hardest topics seem easy. Thank you.

Katie — , United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 19:57:53

Why is there no A2 level Maths revision guide?

Kat x — Cheshire, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 17:56:42

Your books are extremely useful but they would be better if you had full practice papers, because this would help a lot of us understand what we know and what we need to learn.

Flower — Nelson, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 16:51:43

This is a great website — you have achieved loads.

Nazish — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 16:47:53

I do like your revision books. However, I think this website could be improved by adding more onto each section, for example, Biology!!! It really would be useful thanks!

Joanna Hooper — Newcastle, United Kingdom — 07 Jun 2006 at 10:52:58

Your books are very good, especially for stupid people like me :) Thank you! And whoever comes up with the jokes is a genius...!

Jimmy — Surrey, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 20:35:34

I think that CGP books are great!!! The Edexcel Science Modular Books are actually saving my life!

Dan G — Colchester, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 20:03:56

PLEASE bring out a Latin revision guide, I am in year 10 and would really love one for next year — other folks need it too and no one else has made one, so you would get a lot of people buying it!

Hi! Your books are really great and the humour really makes revision fun! Thank you! If it weren't for your books, I'd fail all my exams miserably. Keep up all the good work!

Rehmat — Islington, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 18:16:38

Your books are good.

Sara — London, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 17:48:30

I have all the CGP books (KS3) for the core subjects. They are really helpful, and very funny! It makes revising easier! I love CGP! Better than any of the other revision books I know!

Katie — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 17:00:08

I have just bought 10 of your books for my revision but I could not purchase a latin guide which would have helped me a great deal. Please if possible could you contact me if one becomes available, as I am very happy with the books I have purchased. Thank you.

Ciara Maloney — Manchester, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 16:38:09

Hello, I have bought a few of your books already and find them very useful. They aren't the best books but they are the cheapest so they will do the job!! You rock, man! xxxx

Sadia — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 14:20:12

I think your books are amazing and just I want to thank everyone who is involved with them for getting me through my GCSEs. Well done.

James — Southampton, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 13:41:03

The only thing these books are useful for is showing how far this country's education has gone down the pan. Read Shakespeare not Vicky Pollard.

Spencer — Andover, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 12:43:18

I love your books sooo much, the Maths AS is actually saving my life, and I can revise for longer at a time than I can with other revision guides. Thank you!

Cat — Stamford, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2006 at 10:51:53

Your books are really helpful for tests.

Karrie — Poole, United Kingdom — 05 Jun 2006 at 14:16:25

Your books have given my life new meaning. I would really like to meet the creators of these amazing teaching aids :) Thanks so much.

Branavan — Croydon, United Kingdom — 05 Jun 2006 at 10:38:55

This book is great for revising and is easy to understand.

R — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 05 Jun 2006 at 10:19:01

Very useful, especially the PE ... will keep my eyes open for A Level publications ... very easy to read and simplify things much better than the teachers!!

Chloe — Malvern, United Kingdom — 05 Jun 2006 at 09:49:45

Why the heck have you made the Higher Maths past papers so misleading? It through me completely off course!!

1337ness — 4ch, United Kingdom — 04 Jun 2006 at 23:21:55

Poor quality of revision for the GCSE Higher revision guide and the test papers are too difficult — and some of the subjects in them I have never done in school before. I am taking the maths paper from the WJEC examination board which is not covered in your revision guides.

(Commenting on book MHR41, GCSE Mathematics Revision Guide - Higher

I'm sorry to say, but this book is rubbish. You're other books are great, very helpful, but maths is not your strong point. The parts that really let it down were the "acid tests". Often you asked things that you had not mentioned, and most of the time what happens is a very easy example is given and gone over, then you ask a very, very difficult question that is different to the example. For example, when solving equations you said to remove the lower half of an "a/b" bit by cross multiplying, but then gave a questions that had two parts, both a/b! I did not know what to do, which part to multiply by which, got the wrong answer, and the answers in the back of the book were no help. If I get a question like that in my exam, I will fail it, and I place the blame squarely on you. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!

Kieran — Epping, United Kingdom — 04 Jun 2006 at 17:02:10

Could you produce a revision book for AS level music and AS level Textiles? It would be a great help as CGP books were great when revising for my GCSEs and I would like to use them again for revision during my A level courses. The subject areas I need are not available. Thanks.

Jade — Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom — 04 Jun 2006 at 16:52:39

After using the CGP books to help me revise, I achieved A's in my last modular so thanks. x

Kat — Coventry, United Kingdom — 04 Jun 2006 at 15:40:17

I dislike your books as they show very little contribution to my understanding of subjects and those silly cartoons prove a distraction!!

It would be useful if you put the date of publication, if good for current academic year, and more details on stating if the guide covers the higher level content, AQA etc against each publication. Rgds Amanda

Can you please put some Geography notes on the internet like you have done for French, in the GCSE section?

S — London, United Kingdom — 03 Jun 2006 at 15:15:18

The books are very good, but you should really have a key stage 3 music workbook because I have my end of year test in music and I don't have a clue what to do!!!!!

JB — Billund, Denmark — 01 Jun 2006 at 17:11:34

The CGP books are great, but you don't have books for Urdu revision.

Thanks, CGP! Your books have really helped me with my exams! I found them really useful!
