The workbooks are really good for revision and have been amazingly helpful in deciding my weaknesses and strengths.

I am Dareen in year 7. I have exams on 7th of May and my sister is doing her SATs exams on 7th of May too. I bought your books and they're really funny. I am interested to read more and usually there's more information in these books.
Dareen — Doha, Qatar — 30 May 2009 at 08:58:56
I think your books are brilliant and they are really helping with revision. Please could you do some KS3 Religious Studies books? That would help even more!

~~~~~~~~~~cgp are the best text books for kids for learning!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
zara — ilford, United Kingdom — 28 May 2009 at 18:42:17
I think these books are a waste of money as they spend so much time making jokes that to be honest are patronizing and boring. I suggest that GCSE level and above should be more sophisticated and give just the information needed.
— , United Kingdom — 28 May 2009 at 16:53:25
I love these books... you don't have to revise half as hard with these things :)
Rosie Jones — Surrey, United Kingdom — 28 May 2009 at 12:23:12
(Commenting on book SPQA41, GCSE Spanish Essential Exam Practice Answers (for Workbook)
The book SPHS41 was designed with what main purpose? The student can learn on his own? The student needs help from the teacher? Is it a plan for the teacher?
Lucia Bird — London, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 17:47:08
Guestbook Editor: Well, we hope it helps students revise what they've learnt and then practice to make sure they've got it. But it's really up to you how you use it - you know best what you need and it's not for us to try and tell you.
These books aproach to learning is good but there are too many jokes and stupid pictures. We want to revise (that's why we bought the book) we don't want to look at hippos stamping on calculators, like in the Mathematics Revision Guide (KS3) Second Edition. However the books do cover the whole curriculum that I have learnt.
Julia — Coventry, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 17:38:08
I am currently studying for my GCSEs. I have relied on CGP revison guides since KS3 and until now I have been quite pleased with the results they have helped me get. However after recently taking my B3 biology exam I noticed there were at least two questions where the answers were not covered by the CGP revision guides.
After looking at practice papers for chemistry and physics I have noticed similar gaps in the other guides. For example the guide doesn't go into nearly enough detail about pulse oximetery and the chemistry guide does little to prepare you for the chemical maths questions. It disturbs me that even if I memorised the whole book I couldn't get full marks, or even the top grades. For a book which claims to 'contain everything you need' this is poor. I feel let down and disappointed. I fear that CGP has lost contact with what the exam board and syllabus expect. The books don't go into enough detail for people who want higher grades.
I am 7 years old, and I really love your books, they are absolutely fabulous!!!
Tahiya Sulthana — London, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 17:05:54
I do not like your books. Others are much better. The only way you can improve is by adding a Punjabi GCSE book to your section.
Mr Singh — Wolves, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 16:49:22
Your books are very colourful and bright. There are lots of jokes too, everything is explained so well compared to other books.
Sree — Swansea, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 14:46:54
Incorrect information. No knowledge of which subjects correspond to each syllabus. Not enough information, just the basics. Too much time spent trying to be funny rather than adding the correct information.
Stefan — Guildford, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 13:29:51
I think there should be other revision sections such as Geography, History and R.E. because we still have end of year exams in these subjects. The Maths, Science and English Sections are good but I really do think that there should be more sections in the future.
Helen — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 12:13:40
These books are amazing! I am in KS3 and they cover everything that we learnt in lessons. They were easy to use and interesting. Most revision books I have used in the past are boring, CGP bring a more interesting approach to revision.
Louise — Stockport, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 12:09:13
All these books are the best way to learn something. They are like being at school.
Lauren — Hayes, United Kingdom — 27 May 2009 at 11:55:51
Your books are the most intelligent books I have ever read. Furthermore they are extremely fun too! I am 11 years old and I am a kick boxer. I hope you will want to make a book about that too! Good luck.
Abid — London, United Kingdom — 26 May 2009 at 21:39:28
Hi, I absolutely love your books. They helped me immensely during GCSE and A-Level as they provided easily understandable facts and explanations.
I always look in book stores to see if you've brought out any in Philosophy or Politics as would be so handy to have a short cut easy to understand reference for everything (I'm doing a degree). The easy and accessible way CPG books are set out is so useful and would just save so much time if you branched out slightly more for a slightly older market, instead of Maths or Sociology. Thanks.
How do you order books please?
Sophia — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 26 May 2009 at 08:18:23
Guestbook Editor: You can order from this web site or you can give us a ring... or write. Click on Contact Us as the bottom of pages on this site for our contact details.
Wow amazing site good stuff! It's good that you cover KS3 (what I'm learning) as well as GCSE stuff! I love it. But maybe you could add a few more activities on the KS3 science interactive games. Maybe like...
* sound and hearing
* animals and habitats
* health and illneses
* compounds and mixtures
Just to name some! Thanks for your help...
I was wondering if there are any other good websites where I would get good revision. My exams are in 2 day's time.
Stuart — Londonderry, United Kingdom — 25 May 2009 at 11:02:22
The CGP books are really good and helped me a lot when I used to study in UK. Now I have to study on this site as CGP books are not available here. Also I don't think there's enough variety of subjects. How can I revise for history and geography and my older sister is doing A-levels in psychology, sociology and ICT but there are no books for those subjects. Please give some advice!
Amara Ahmed — Lahore, Pakistan — 24 May 2009 at 08:10:41
I loved CGP books, they served me fantastically all through school - I'm now feeling lost revising for my 1st year exams at uni without them. Thank you for managing to make revision endurable!
Clare — Cambridge, United Kingdom — 23 May 2009 at 20:29:09
Your ICT book helped me get an A* with my GCSE last year. Hoping to do as well this year with my AS ICT.
I think these books are really great. They explain it in such a way that children will be able to engage. Last time I had exams it turned out great and i'm gonna have an exam coming up soon. So far it is helping me with techniques I can use in my exams.
This book worked for me an absoulute wonder! I got full marks (A*) for this paper, all thanks to CGP!
Igna Pofitel — Romford, United Kingdom — 23 May 2009 at 14:21:19
These really are the best value-for-money revision guides on the market in my opinion... I just wanted to say it's a bloomin' shame that the A-level range isn't very big at all... I wanted a physics revision guide that's tailored to my course [which, by the way, I think is an awesome idea], for the new-spec AQA A2 Physics, but there ain't nowt there! Also I think an A2 Maths revision guide is quite in-demand...it's certainly the most popular subject at my school, and a good A2 revision guide to back up the AS one would be splendid. Don't ever stop making awesome books!
Sam — Loughborough, United Kingdom — 23 May 2009 at 12:11:33
I love your chemistry revision book! I love those funny comments you put at the end of each section - they inspire me greatly! And the best is the one about being a Chemistry Jedi! :D After that one I became crazy about chemistry ;) P.S. "And no, you can't swap to English. Sorry"- this one made me laugh so much 'cause it's so true! Haha. Thank you for making learning fun!
Thanks to very helpful advice from customer services I managed to buy the correct revision books for my daughter. This was essential for a confused mother who still remembers O levels and was baffled by all the range of revision books available!
Wow, revision guides that work! I was gutted I couldn't find a text guide for "A View From The Bridge" though. It would have been really helpful.
Let me begin by quoting your Edexcel Biology Revision guide. "GCSE Science is all about understanding how science works". Let's now proceed to page 75 and have a nice little read about the production of Yoghurt and Soy Sauce. After remembering all that, let's walk into a B3 biology exam and totally get hit in the head with questions which the book should have helped me answer. It's all good and well knowing how Soy Sauce is made, but understanding how the science behind it works (as the guide claims it will) is a whole other story. The CGP books are so vague it's unbelievable. It's like you love putting masses of irrelevant text in there, such as those horrible jokes, but fail to cover the important stuff in each topic.
For example, when saying "Other more powerful drugs have since.....blah blah" why not tell us which drugs they were. Maybe when talking about human evolution, tell us alternative names that may be used for each stage, such as bushmen and so on.
David — Barking, United Kingdom — 21 May 2009 at 21:01:10
Guestbook Editor: Thanks for the feedback - we'll definitely take a look at the issues you raise.
CGP books are the best books one can have. They're simple, clear, understandable and very genuine. I've got a few copies with me and they've helped me a lot with my studies. I'm in the Senior High School and I know that by using CGP I will be able to excel throughout.
Ishmael Armah Ryesa — Accra, Ghana — 21 May 2009 at 16:51:35
I've been using the Maths CGP book and after sitting my first exam a few days ago I found it hard to know how to answer a question. I knew all the rules and could give the examiner a little joke or sarcastic comment but knowing all the rules and how to handle a question are totally different things! The acid tests are good if they're the type of quesion you get in the exam, but none of them are worded this way. At least I could have a giggle in the exam — good books just a bit too light-hearted.
Lizzy — London, United Kingdom — 21 May 2009 at 15:08:21
This site is absolutely rubbish. I was looking for Maths, Science and English, the study guides, and it didn't even have anything to do with study guides. Please sort this out. Thanks.
As a GCSE student I was given some Biology and Chemistry Practice Papers for GCSE which I found extremely helpful. However, I was hoping to be able to get some for Geography but I couldn't find any. These would have been really helpful for Edexcel Geography.
Your AQA Additional Science (GCSE) Guide has proved very useful, it's thorough, useful, easy to learn from and I got asked questions in my exam almost straight from the Guide (eg. pancreatic transplants) Thank you for a very good Revision Guide.
jack — St Albans, United Kingdom — 20 May 2009 at 15:50:01
I love your school resources, but since providing adult literacy and numeracy for 14-19 year olds I have found a lack of resources that are accessible. Our train to Gain dept feel the same. I think that cheap guides and especially workbooks would be very popular.
Heather Llewellyn — Kidderminster, United Kingdom — 20 May 2009 at 10:37:03
I really like your revision books :) They're funny and helpful at the same time! I'll be starting AS next year and was wondering if you would please think about putting together some revision books for some more AS subjects like classical civilisation and English literature.
Madeleine — Douglas, Isle of man, United Kingdom — 19 May 2009 at 20:33:12
There is no interactive bit for AS level biology! The only thing there is maths! Any chance of one being put up before 1st of June?
Louise Taylore — , United Kingdom — 19 May 2009 at 17:47:34
Guestbook Editor: Oh dear. Even for our clever editors with the go-faster stripes, that's a bit too soon. We will put it on the list though...
I do my English Lit today and I want to know how to answer the questions. So this has not helped me at all :@. I think they should be up here.
Seema — Bolton, United Kingdom — 17 May 2009 at 10:52:04
Guestbook Editor: The one you have covers the main topics for all exam boards, but the AQA one would be even better for you cos it’s just for your course.
Penny — Cheshire, United Kingdom — 16 May 2009 at 15:25:10
Guestbook Editor: We're making a brand new range for the A2-Level courses, and we'll have one for the Physics Edexcel specification too — it'll be available on the 1st June — hurrah!
These books were the only things that got me through my GCSE Maths and Sciences — they're truely brilliant!
Catherine Mc Daid — Strabane,N.I., Irish Republic — 15 May 2009 at 15:45:17
Hello. I think you should update your website. When first visiting it it seemed really old and boring. The books are good but maybe you should try to give a better first impression. Also, your games are very old looking and not very diverse so you should look at that too.
Any chance doing an A2 Maths Guide. I couldn't have managed AS without one.
Once again - fantastic service and fabulous books. I placed an order yesterday at around 11.30am; the books were delivered today at 9.30am. They are of the high standard I have come to expect as a parent and a teacher. Thank you.
Angie Humphrey — Horsham , United Kingdom — 14 May 2009 at 10:26:02
Your GCSE Statistics Workbook isn't up to your usual high standard. No Binomial Distribution, for a start! Too much emphasis on sampling and surveys and that one glaring omission (that I've noticed so far!) means I won't be recommending it to my students! I will let you know if I find any more gaps that make it no use for my Edexcel students.
Megan Guinan — Surbiton, United Kingdom — 14 May 2009 at 09:44:16
Guestbook Editor: Thanks for this - it’s really helpful. Page 69 does have some questions on Discrete Probability Distributions which covers Binomial distribution. Right now we’re beavering away on our updated book for the new courses and we’ll take another look to be sure we cover each topic fully.
I think this website is really helpful because I'm doing my SATS at the moment and I've been revising on this site for a couple of days now and I really like this site !!! :)
I used to teach in the UK and used these books extensively. Now that I live in NZ, I am ordering them to be sent here. Kids love them, they have great content packed into a small, easy to read space. OH WOE ARE NZ TEXTS! There would be a great market here for local content.
Ryan Gaffaney — Hastings, New Zealand — 13 May 2009 at 02:50:10
On your CGP Key Stage 3 German Study guide, I noticed that on page 36 in the section "What do you do in your free time?" there is a small advertisement which advertises ultimate frisbee. Frankly, I found it quite weird that you would advertise a sport which has nothing to do with German in a German book. Please explain.
CGP Lover — London, United Kingdom — 12 May 2009 at 21:43:33
Guestbook Editor: Frisbees are very popular with German shepherds - it's a well known fact.
I have friends in the same year and they want to use a book. They don't have a lot of money and the books are a lot of money - like for the KS2 maths book it was $8.50 just for that book. Why can't you put the rate of the CGP books to about $2.00?
Can you put something on this website so that we can see what pages look like otherwise...
sheena — Wembley , United Kingdom — 09 May 2009 at 09:12:28
Do you produce books that are specially designed for students with dyslexia as your current books are hard to work with due to some of the colours used especially on a white background.
Guestbook Editor: We don't have a special range of books for this but if you send us your e-mail address we'll see what we can do to help. Mail us at email@example.com.
I have searched through your archive of AS-level revision guides and have found that there are none for AS or A2 Human Biology, I am most disapointed! Are there any plans for the formulation of these revision guides for the near future?
Becca — Kingswinford, United Kingdom — 08 May 2009 at 23:33:44
Guestbook Editor: We do have an AS Revision Guide for AQA Human Biology but haven't managed to squeeze in an A2 Guide - sorry.
How about bigger discounts for private customers? It's not fair. I've just spent a lot of money (after 20% discount). Yet if I were a school it would've cost me much less. As your books have been highly recommended I'm hoping that they're worth it. I would have bought many more had they been cheaper.
These books are really useful.
Jade Cole — Manchester, United Kingdom — 08 May 2009 at 13:24:29
I used to live in Nottingham UK but I have moved. The problem is that CGP books are not available here! Please do something!
Amara Ahmed — Lahore, Pakistan — 08 May 2009 at 10:25:54
Guestbook Editor: We'd be happy to send what you need - although we must admit that posting to Lahore costs a bit more than Nottingham.
I have got 3 CGP books - key stage 2 science, maths and literacy. I just wanted to say they are awsome. They are helping me a lot with my SATS. Thank you CGP you are helping me a lot.
Alex — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 07 May 2009 at 20:55:58
I always look in these books when we study. I love the key stage 2 science book. I learnt loads from it.
Emily — Norwich, United Kingdom — 07 May 2009 at 19:09:55
Fabulous books. Helping loads with the revision for S.A.Ts next week. Like the jokes on the back of them and the piccys inside.
I'm in year 9 and I have my tests and I'm a level 7 for science. Is that good?
Busra — london, United Kingdom — 06 May 2009 at 20:33:33
I'm in year 6. I've got my SATs in a week. I'm so nervous. However when I study with CGP books it makes me feel confident.
Mai — Bracknell, United Kingdom — 06 May 2009 at 12:07:17
I have lots of these books as I am studying for my GCSEs but I am soooooooo STRESSED. Is it normal?
Beth — Blackpool, United Kingdom — 06 May 2009 at 10:15:22
It does not let you revise year 4 mental maths books. You can only buy books. They should let you revise on the web page. The web site needs improvement. Can you please put a web page so that you can revise. THANK YOU. Please do it so maybe people might come on the website more.
Sanaa — Leicester, United Kingdom — 05 May 2009 at 20:28:05
It has really x100 helped me and I've got my SATS on Monday!
Emma Day — Aldershot, United Kingdom — 05 May 2009 at 20:06:28
Guestbook Editor: Sorry Tina - we've just left in 5 of each letter so it's a bit easier to read. You had lots!
I have SATS tomorrow and I was stupid enough not to revise but I went through your internet pages and I found all I need to know!
CBee — LDN, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 22:48:23
I have all the CGP books for the KS3 SATS. They are REALLY helping me and at the same time I am havin FUN looking through them with the FUNNY pictures! I just think that what you need to do is make each topic shorter!!! GREAT BOOKS THOUGH!!!! =)
Maariyah Ashraf — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 21:48:02
These books are great. They explain difficult learning matters e.g. long division, cloud forming etc in the simplest form and the books are very easy to understand and humorous.
Anonymous — , United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 17:55:48
The books are good enough, but the website is really not up to the same standard. I don't know if the website is just for comments and enquiries, but even the games are insufficient. Improvements needed regarding the website definitely.
Iz — UK, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 14:25:03
Ur books are so good! We use them in school for our SATS which are in 1 week. They have helped so much! One thing I have to say is that the Science is brilliant but the Maths book (KS2) is a bit jumbled up. If you ever did another one keep that in mind. It's brilliant all the same.
kaya-may — crawley, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 13:53:58
I think that your books are great as is the website. I am taking my SATs tomorrow and am feeling reasonably confident thanks to your books. When it comes to my GSCEs in two years time I will be certain to have a CGP book in all the subjects I am taking. But you don't have a revision guide on food technology. It would be good if you did because I am taking that. As good as your books are I also think they are a bit pricey. Many thanks CGP!
bEKA — WATERLOOVILLE, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 09:10:31
WOW, THESE BOOKS ARE GREAT. THE PROBLEM IS I AM IN THE LAST YEAR OF YEAR 6. I WAS GONNA BUY THEM, TOO LATE NOW.
DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY GOOD WEBSITES, COZ SATS ARE NEXT WEEK!
Rebekah Tilbury — Waterlooville Hants, United Kingdom — 04 May 2009 at 08:44:14
These books are fantastic. I have a key stage 2 maths one from 2003, 2004 and 2005 SATS but there are questions in it and not much space to write the answer and work it out. I think every Year 6, 7 and 8 pupil should get a free book to revise. Your prices are a bit high on some of them but keep going. CGP are the best. My Auntie works at a school and uses your books.
Daisy-May — Leicester, United Kingdom — 03 May 2009 at 21:58:43
Fantastic revision guides, especially for Science! Would not have got an ''A'' without it.
Tom Jackson — Manchester , United Kingdom — 03 May 2009 at 13:23:10
Good website - however it would have been even better for the ordering process to give a clear indication of the date when the items would be delivered - similar to Amazon. The subject seemed to be avoided all the way through the booking procedure.
Ian Law — Wiltshire, United Kingdom — 02 May 2009 at 12:24:36
Guestbook Editor: Thanks for that - we'll try and make our web site clearer because we're really proud of our same day despatch (up to 5pm)
Thanks CGP books. You really helped me in the year six SATs. You made me relax and I'm hoping I do well. Your website is so helpful and the test papers are as well. I would advise these books to anyone so thanks.
Hi, I am a Home Tutored student and I was given your Revision Guide books to help me get through my GCSE's which I am taking 2 years early. I don't agree with the way these books are written — Revision Guide hints in the name that it is to GUIDE you, not patronise, which is the impression I got. I am very disappointed, and I will be using other books to finish my studies.
Please amend all grammar mistakes too as your English is atrocious.
