Guestbook Archive - July 2011
I went from CC in Double Science GCSE mocks to achieving A*A* after using your books, this was in 2001. These books are brilliant and gave me so much confidence. I have just found your site while searching for some Key Stage 2 revision guides for my stepson and it reminded me how successful these books were, thank you so much!

After all the comments i have read- i think i should be getting on with reading my CGP Books....and i am trying very extremely hard not to to the revision questions pages out....mmmmm.....

Guestbook Editor: Mmmm... reading the CGP Guestbook probably won't help you pass any exams, but it's a generally educational experience, I always think. (Note: reading our books, and answering the revision questions, is a really useful way to prepare for your exams, so you should definitely do that as often as possible. Even during the summer holidays.)
Hi, I am a student from Hong Kong and I will come to UK in coming September. These books help me a lot because it can give me a quick review on UK's exam syllabus.

I am a retired Head of Science at a Grammar school. I regularly sought to purchase Revision Guides and practice papers at all levels for my students. They are excellent! As a private tutor I am still going to purchase some!

Hi cgp, your books are great and really helpful but why can't you see any pages when you look at the AS History ones on the website?? You can see sample pages for all the other books, how do I know if I want to buy it if I cant see what it is like! thanks
jamie — stoke , United Kingdom — 25 Jul 2011 at 12:28:30
Guestbook Editor: These AS History books are so dazzlingly brand new that even our usually-almost-completely-foolproof system for putting sample pages on the website couldn't keep up. Thanks for pointing it out — we'll get some pages sorted as soon as possible.
These books are great, last year they helped me attain straight A* passes in my IGCSE's. They are a must for any student.

I'm beginning to think the Hokey Cokey IS what it's all about...

Guestbook Editor: Ah, is that a reference to one of our above-the-barcode-on-the-back-of-the-book comments? The Hokey Cokey probably is what it's all about, you know. You should write a book about this new branch of philosophy, explaining all the ins and outs.
I placed an order a few minutes ago and I can't believe how pleasant and efficient your operator was.
Well done CGP!

Which books would you reccomend for Triple Science?
Tavleen — Coventry , United Kingdom — 09 Jul 2011 at 19:50:25
Guestbook Editor: If you're taking Triple Science, we'd recommend our separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics books — each one contains everything you'll need to know for the whole GCSE course. If you're starting Year 10 in September 2011, you should go for our brand new editions — just click on the 'I'm just starting my GCSEs' signpost in our GCSE Science section. Hope that helps.
Thank You CGP!
My Son, using these revision books passed all of his Edexcel 360 Science Multiple Choices! All A*s!!!
and Overall Core Grade of A*! Thank You CGP for all your great books!

One of my A-level options is Forensic Science and I was wondering if you had a revision guide on that subject...
Jade — Nottingham , United Kingdom — 05 Jul 2011 at 18:12:19
Guestbook Editor: After some detailed investigation with a highly-powered microscope, I've come to the conclusion that none of our current A-Level Revision Guides cover Forensic Science. Sorry.
had a pretty beastly lasagne for tea :)
Izzy — Bournemouth , United Kingdom — 04 Jul 2011 at 21:04:02
Guestbook Editor: Is a beastly lasagne good or bad, or just non-vegetarian? It's so difficult to keep up once you get pasta certain age.

hiya, I was just wondering when the AQA physics revision guides for the new course would be up on your website. I really need them for my triple science course.
Thanks in advance,
Lisa. ; )
lisa — manchester, United Kingdom — 04 Jul 2011 at 18:14:09
Guestbook Editor: The new AQA Physics books should be back on the web very soon, we hope (they've been held up due to a very minor change in the AQA Science exams after they went to print — see Bob from London's question below). We're stickering them as we we speak, so I'll update this reply as soon as we know more.
(Slightly belated) UPDATE: All our AQA GCSE Science books are now stickered up and back on the website!
hi! i love all your books but i was wondering why you don't do AS language revision guides?
katie — london , United Kingdom — 03 Jul 2011 at 14:04:33
Guestbook Editor: Hi! We'd really like to make books for A-Level languages at some point — we just need to find some time to fit them in around all the other projects we've got going on. Or maybe we just need to stop letting our editors go home quite so often. Five evenings a week plus weekends is an excessive amount of leisure time, I've always thought.
I like to have Curry and chips for my tea.
