(Commenting on book MBR51, Head Start to AS Maths

Found the head start AS Maths book very useful for making sure i don't forget anything over the summer the holidays. Ready for maths AS level in sepetember. Which i am dreading

Max Edney — Kenilworth , United Kingdom — 29 Jun 2012 at 17:21:08

Guestbook Editor: AS Maths? You'll love it. Differentiation, binomial expansions, linear regression, motion on inclined planes, trigonometric identities... happiest days of my life.

Simply fantastic. Great for the visual learner. Concise, factual and fun. I recommend to my pupils and use with my own children. Only wish they were around when I was at school!!!

vivienne edwards — st albans , United Kingdom — 28 Jun 2012 at 08:11:50

Are you planning any new a-level english text guides?

Sophie — London, United Kingdom — 25 Jun 2012 at 22:45:36

Guestbook Editor: Nothing in the works as far as I know. But we'll keep you posted if anything changes.

This book is very good CGP books are cool

Faraz — Barking,London, United Kingdom — 24 Jun 2012 at 14:06:39

CGP- Your books are amazing. They have so much excellent information. There are many other companies that I looked at for educational books, none compare to your selection and price. My colleagues all use my range of books I have purchased from you. The children also love your study books. Thanx

I am currently studying to be a Geography Teacher when I am older, and the geography side of books here are awesome, one question I have is Will there be a revision book specifically for the Edexcel A and B courses

Casey — Dunstable , United Kingdom — 22 Jun 2012 at 16:23:36

Guestbook Editor: Hello — really pleased to hear you're a fan of our Geography books. But no current plans for Edexcel A and B GCSE Geography books, I'm afraid.

i just did my biology, chemistry and physics GCSEs and i used the CGP guides and they were sooooooo helpful!!! i didnt use anything but those and they were really good!!!! Also i know that this isn't a common subject but GCSE astronomy books would be very helpful!!!!!!

Maya — London , United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2012 at 19:39:21

I was just wondering whether there will be an iGCSE ICT revision guide, as currently there isn't one for this subject and I need help! Are you going to make one?

Lucy — Wiltshire, United Kingdom — 21 Jun 2012 at 17:07:31

Guestbook Editor: I don't think we have any plans to make an ICT book specifically for IGCSE at the moment — sorry. Our GCSE ICT books will cover a lot of what you need to know, so might be worth a look.

My brother (14) did History and Food Technology GCSEs this year. It was a massive challenge for him, we got him these books and their light-hearted and jargon-free approach got him through. Now I am training to be a physics teacher and have bought the whole science all-boards set, I think they will come in very handy indeed!

Zoe Louise Matthews — Birkenhead, United Kingdom — 20 Jun 2012 at 09:08:02

The CGPs are a fantastic help. And sorry to the previous guest, I love them just as they are - jokes and all

Suze — Hampshire, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2012 at 18:29:36

Guestbook Editor: Hooray! Here's a CGP-style joke to celebrate.

Q: What do you get if you swallow too much punctuation?
A: An irritated colon. And a dash to the toilet. And then you fall into a comma.

I can't understand why I'm not allowed to write content for our books any more.

Science guides are great, i literally only used them to revise! Would help if the books had the answers to ALL the questions at the back, as i don't know if i got them right or not.

Isobel — High Wycombe, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2012 at 13:08:23

First of all, id like to say these books are like my BIBLE when I revise and im really confident before my exams, however, WHY AM I STILL NOT PASSING MY GCSE'S!!!??????

Maddie — Hazlemere, United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2012 at 13:04:08

Guestbook Editor: It's the system. You can't fight the system.

The AS English Language Revision Guide is an excellent starting point for student revision: very clear and accessible.

S. Wood — Cambridge , United Kingdom — 19 Jun 2012 at 12:56:16

Guys, please condense down the guides. Its a real pain to revise, even with mind maps with so much excess information. Just get rid of the jokes paragraph, intro paragraph, then look at recent past papers for further editing. Only about 1/3 of the information is useful. Sorry guys & gals.

Jack — Bromsgrove, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2012 at 21:17:22

i have bought some of your gcse books and i was happy with my purchase until i found out they were the wrong books and it was too late to return them. since then, i have bought one more gcse revision guide for science and have used it to pass my exams. just a tip to those buying: check your spec, tier and board before buying! :)

heela — london, United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2012 at 20:54:13

I love CGP books and now I bought loads more for my GSCE-science- for next year... Getting prepared!!!!

Vithu — Eastham , United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2012 at 17:27:27

Hi, just wondering whether there will be any GENERAL Complete Revision & Practice Books for GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics for the new curriculum - not ones specifically for a specific board.

Bob — London , United Kingdom — 18 Jun 2012 at 16:29:27

Guestbook Editor: Indeed there will. In fact, our new 'general' Complete Revision & Practice books for Biology, Chemistry and Physics are at the printers now — they should be available in early July.

I am interested in writing a book for CGP in a subject you do not have. Is this something you would be interested in?

Isam B — Ilford , United Kingdom — 16 Jun 2012 at 22:19:00

Guestbook Editor: Thanks for your interest. We're always looking for teachers to write material for our books — you'll find more information on our Write for CGP page, along with contact details for our External Writing Team. They'll be able to offer you more advice about the subjects we're interested in working on at the moment.

please please please make A2 human biology revision guides i will NOT pass without it :(

Katherine — St Albans , United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2012 at 20:28:52

I have been spending a lot of time with the A2 Chemistry book and the material is good but the JOKES ARE SO BAD. I wish the person writing the book would stop whining about how boring it was or nagging me to eat various junk foods (especially carrot cakes). It's so obnoxious!! Like hanging out with your embarrassing uncle! I will not be able to benefit from any revisions but please, for the sake of everyone else who unknowingly buy this book, CHANGE THE JOKES, THEY MAKE ME WANT TO DIE.

Miranda — Cheltehenham , United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2012 at 18:27:07

I think as a tutor who spends several hundred pounds a year with CGP I should be entitled to the same discounts as 'educational establishments', don't you?

Denis Bresnahan — Bourne , United Kingdom — 15 Jun 2012 at 01:46:45

Helping my son at home with KS2. Think we are both enjoying the learning.
god bless you all at CGP Jacx

JAC — OXFORD , United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2012 at 21:34:01

i got the science one

bilal — leyton , United Kingdom — 13 Jun 2012 at 12:59:40

Brilliant books — clear, concise and funny. they have removed the fear of not being able to learn French properly. dix sur dix!! Bien fait.

Ailsa — Clamecy, France — 13 Jun 2012 at 10:59:08

Thank you CGP! Since using your revision guides I have managed to achieve A* in all four of the exams I have completed and had results for. I am hoping that the next three exams results I get will be the same. I could not have done this without your books, they are so great! The jokes just make me laugh so much!

Lucy — Wiltshire , United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2012 at 21:00:10

Your books are amazing - I actually want to revise, just to read the jokes! Even Geography, which I hate with a burning passion. Can't wait to buy all your AS books next year :D

Becky — Cirencester, United Kingdom — 12 Jun 2012 at 12:16:46

I LIKE BANANAS

Ben — Buachi, United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2012 at 16:13:07

Grandson in France recommended your books so hoping the books will fill in the gaps in a fun way

Lynne Bastow — Bradford on Avon , United Kingdom — 11 Jun 2012 at 10:54:14

We have just started home schooling our son, my sister-in-law home schools too, she swears by your books, can't wait to receive my order! :)

Gina Chamberlain — Bere Alston , United Kingdom — 10 Jun 2012 at 00:49:14

Well to start with I absolutely hate your cheesy jokes at GCSE level we want to gather knowledge not rubbish. However after never revising for any of my science exams and getting A's I decided to copy out your revision material and got an A* so this time I have copied your books for every science exam and fingers crossed will be happy on results day.

Daniel — New Malden, United Kingdom — 09 Jun 2012 at 18:16:57

Guestbook Editor: We'll be rooting for you.

(Commenting on book GHS43, GCSE Geography Complete Revision & Practice (A*-G course)

can someone tell me when this stupid book was published?

aman — wigan , United Kingdom — 09 Jun 2012 at 13:21:00

Guestbook Editor: I can — it was published in May 2010.

I simply wanted to say thank you. I am sat revising my most hated subject and really struggling however your books along with their dry sense of humour keep me going! I may not be having great fun but at least you put a smile on my face! Thank you

Jess Doyle — Middlesbrough, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2012 at 16:55:38

Your jokes in the GCSE revision books, keep me sane and keep me going

Ella Bird — Sandown, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2012 at 16:43:46

Hello, I love your books and I brought two on Sunday, when do you reckon they'd arrive?

Thomas — London , United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2012 at 16:39:50

Guestbook Editor: We'll have sent your books by first class post on Wednesday (they would have gone on Monday if it weren't for Jubilee holidays), and I'm a bit late responding to your question (it's now Thursday afternoon (sorry)), so I reckon they should be with you about... four hours ago? Hope you enjoy them.

Our order just arrived and the books look great! We can't wait to start using them. Thank you so much for the fantastic service.

Teresa — Madang , Papua New Guinea — 06 Jun 2012 at 13:49:35

Thanks CGP,
Your revision Guides are really fun to learn and really exciting! It has helped me tremendously.
If you could add a few fun games on this website like how they have on ks3 bitesize, that would be really kind.

Nadia — London, United Kingdom — 06 Jun 2012 at 11:45:27

Your books bring a smile to the the faces of my students - they help them learn in a fun way and best of all, make my job enjoyable. It can't get better than that!

Sieglinde Grant — Chichester , United Kingdom — 04 Jun 2012 at 15:30:43

Hi,
I have just come from visiting the Flotilla on the Thames. Had a fab time. Once i got home I just remembered to order all those user friendly Revision Books for all my private students. These guide books have made my life easier in tutoring my students and certainly they are get help for preparing exams. Long live CGP.

Dilip Shah — Hounslow, United Kingdom — 03 Jun 2012 at 19:50:59

Hello, I just want to ask if the new specification of GCSE statistic revision is available online?

Marilynn — London , United Kingdom — 02 Jun 2012 at 20:01:25

Guestbook Editor: Sorry — our GCSE Statistics Revision Guides are only available as printed books at the moment.

Thanks CGP, I have found your books great to revise from since Year 6, now in Year 9 I'm getting ready for my GCSE's and will be continuing to use your books! I was just wondering if you would be making GCSE Psychology or AQA German revision guides? Thanks!

Ellen — Suffolk, United Kingdom — 02 Jun 2012 at 14:43:33

Guestbook Editor: I've put on the CGP Future Goggles, but I can't see either of those books coming up just yet. But our current batch of GCSE German books covers everything you'll need to know for the AQA course, so... hooray!
