I feel the CGP books are really useful for revision and explain things in depth. However, to make them even better, the information could be summarised better as sometimes it gets quite boring reading big chunks of text-especially for us teenagers! Overall though, they are very good (and even better is we get given our very own brand new CGP revision guides for science!)

Hi CGP! I love your textbooks and have been buying them since I was in Year 6! I love how they are at a reasonable price and they are fun, too! I just wondered do you give any discounts for orders? IE buying one copy of a textbook but lots of different textbooks that = over £110????? yes, I do LOVE CGP!! I wanted to get ready for my GCSEs in style (and what better way todo it than with CGP)!! So what do you think?? I won't be able to buy all of them if they are that much though:( help??? Xxx PS is it alright or all right?

CGP Textbook Hugger — CGPVille , United Kingdom — 23 Jul 2012 at 19:23:26

Guestbook Editor: Hello! Very pleased to hear that you're a big fan of CGP. And we hope that you'll be similarly pleased to hear that we now offer a huge 35% discount on all orders over £100. Just place your order on this website, and the discount will be applied automatically when you go to the checkout. There's more info about our discounts on our Infrequently Asked Questions page.

P.S. Our Concise Oxford English Dictionary says that 'alright' is an acceptable alternative spelling of 'all right', so you can take your pick. Other dictionaries are available.

Thank you so much for the samples of the new 11 plus study books and practice papers. I find them excellent in both content and level of difficulty. It is difficult, particularly with the Non-Verbal Reasoning papers, to find practice material which accurately mirrors the level of difficulty of the actual tests. As far as I am aware, these are the only papers available which contain detailed explanations of the answers to all the questions.

I have recommended these papers to my pupils to buy for themselves as they can not only correct their own work but also have the answer explained to them – excellent for the holiday period when they are not attending tuition sessions!

cgp's books are cool they have helped me a lot

iram — manchester, United Kingdom — 20 Jul 2012 at 19:54:58

I absolutely love the CGP books and order them on a regular basis for my students. They are delivered promptly to Portugal. My only criticism is that I have, at times, ordered the incorrect books because on some books it states the year group and the other books just state the book number. It would be so much easier if it stated somewhere what year group it is for......or am I missing something?!
Overall though, a fabulous service- Thank you!!

CGP are great books. I have been using them with my kids for 8 years now and they teach children in simplistic way through humour so it is easy to remember. 10/10

I would have bought your new maths text books for A Level if they had been combined, e.g like your AS maths revision guide...

Matthew — Manchester, United Kingdom — 18 Jul 2012 at 13:24:20

Guestbook Editor: That's the beauty of choice — you can get (for example) a Complete Revision & Practice book for Edexcel AS Maths that succinctly covers C1, C2, M1, S1 and D1... or you can opt for our in-depth Student Books for each individual module.

(Incidentally, if we combined all the AS Edexcel Student books into a single volume, it'd be over 1000 pages long. Like War and Peace, but with graphs. And slightly less literary merit.)

I think they are brilliant but i dont want the version with adbobe flash cos i cant buy it and i would like it without the flash please

anonymous — anonymous, United Kingdom — 14 Jul 2012 at 11:53:22

Guestbook Editor: We guess you're referring to our MathsTutor video tutorials for GCSE Maths — you'll need Adobe Flash to watch these, but the software is included on the DVD-ROM. If you've got a Windows PC, you should be able to run it without a problem. Better still, Mac-compatible editions will be available very soon...

You might also be talking about our WebBooks? These are Flash-only at the moment, I'm afraid, but there may be Flashless versions in the future.

I was wondering wether you do a complete english revision guide.

Georgia — Melton Mowbray, United Kingdom — 14 Jul 2012 at 10:49:58

Guestbook Editor: For GCSE English? We can offer you Higher and Foundation Level Complete Revision & Practice books (these ones are suitable for all exam boards). There's also a Complete Revision & Practice Book that's perfect for the AQA GCSE English and English Language courses. You'll find them all here.

The sample books provided for schools are brilliant - as a result we have now placed two substantial orders. The guides have great information for the students.

More quotation analysis and close reading work in the higher level text guides would be good though.

Have you considered adding DVDs to go with your revision guides, particularly for subjects like Geography and biology etc. My son is dyslexic and struggles to focus for long when reading and writing but his ability to absorb information visually and by listening is quite phenomenal. It would help boost learning for todays kids who take a lot in this way. great books though, as a parent I'd be lost without them!

karin — Cumbria , United Kingdom — 09 Jul 2012 at 09:35:43

Guestbook Editor: Hello — thanks for you suggestion. We've made a full set of video tutorials for GCSE Maths (see the MathsTutor demo for a sample), and it's definitely something we'd like to extend to other subjects in the future. In the meantime, we're very pleased to hear that you're finding the books useful.

Hi CGP Team,
I was just wondering if you have an all in one Science GCSE books. I really like them and they are really fun to read. Will there be a Portuguese revision book?

Nadia — London , United Kingdom — 08 Jul 2012 at 15:17:33

Guestbook Editor: Hi! We don't have a single book that covers every GCSE course, but we do have Revision Guides and Complete Revision & Practice books for these GCSEs: Core Science, Additional Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Have a forage through our GCSE Science section for more info. No plans for a Portuguese book any time soon, sadly.

cgp books helped my pass my sats in yr 6. thumbs up to them and i recommend them to EVERYBODY.
