Excellent site

I've just begun home ed and am delighted that at last a publisher has a comprehensive range of books that are both year group targeted and also available to buy from bookshops! I have trawled the web searching for resources that can be purchased individually rather than "classroom packs.. inc smartboard software" for nigh on £80.
PS I love the amusing comments too. Just read on back cover "This book will be closed from 9-9.30am for staff training".. LMFAO

I have to say these are my all time FAVOURITE revision books to use, and I'm buying them on top of all of my other compulsory revision books for my A-Levels. Thanks CGP!!

Emily Jenkins — Cheshire, United Kingdom — 26 Sep 2012 at 22:52:28

Fab books for my kids - but where were you in 1988 when I needed you!!
Please can we have some AS and A level Computer Science...

Rachael — Cambs , United Kingdom — 25 Sep 2012 at 10:17:59

What a fantastic set of books!! My son and I have just started our own little school at home on the kitchen table, in the garden and anywhere else we deem appropriate. Your books are going to be a fun way to tackle the essential stuff we have to cover, so all the doubting, 'home school is for losers' folk we know can be proved wrong.
Thanks very much xx

CGP! You magnificent people! I put my 8 A*/A GCSE grades on your stirling books. Thank you!

A note of sadness though, none of your books are of any use to me in my AS Levels! AQA Economics, History and Government and Politics and WJEC English Literature are no where to be found :( Any plans for some books for these courses?

Alex — Ellesmere Port, United Kingdom — 22 Sep 2012 at 16:37:21

Guestbook Editor: Ah, a guestbook message that leaps poetically from joy to sadness, like a Jane Austen novel or any film with Jennifer Aniston in it. But as we've learned from great literature and contemporary rom-coms, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

In this case, we can offer you a glimmer of hope in the form of our forthcoming AS and A2 Economics books, although they're a little way off yet. There's nothing specifically planned for your other subjects as far as I know, but we're always thinking about expanding our range of Text Guides for A-Level English Lit...

Love these study books! Your book helped me to get an A in maths igcse!

Eriponta — Hong kong, Hong Kong — 22 Sep 2012 at 15:41:29

Do you have a revision guide for the GCSE WJEC B Geography specification?

Josh — Telford , United Kingdom — 21 Sep 2012 at 20:55:22

Guestbook Editor: We don't at the moment — sorry. But our general GCSE Geography Revision Guide (GHR43) covers the OCR B and AQA A courses, so there's a fair bit of overlap with WJEC B in there.

CGP has to be one of the best companies around. Would love to be able to nominate them in an award for maginficent customer service and reasonable prices. Keep up the fantastic work & never change!!

Kip McGrath Education — Downham Market, United Kingdom — 19 Sep 2012 at 10:05:30

Guestbook Editor: Thanks for your kind comments. If we didn't offer magnificent customer service and reasonable prices, we just wouldn't be CGP. But some things about us are changing all the time — we're branching out into Apps and all sorts.

I think your study books and workbooks are GREAT! I've used them for years in the classroom and now as home tutor material. They're really concise and the children love them!

Margaret Hodge — Uxbridge, United Kingdom — 18 Sep 2012 at 19:49:43

Guestbook Editor: Thank you — it's great to hear you're still finding our books useful.

Excellent books, excellent service All 3 of my kids have now got top marks in Science GCSEs revising solely from CGP books. We didn't look at their school notes once (hope none of their teachers are reading this!)

Joanne Lewis — Carshalton , United Kingdom — 18 Sep 2012 at 16:35:17

Hi do the AS level CGP revision guide for OCR science apply to the 2013 specification? Also does the AS Level Maths EDEXCEL CGP revision guide unit c1,c2,m1 apply to the 2013 exams?

Jerry Kane — london , United Kingdom — 17 Sep 2012 at 17:40:19

Guestbook Editor: AS and A2 specifications have stayed the same (apart from some minor tweaks) for the past few years, and there are no big changes planned for this year. So all our current A-Level books will cover what you need for the 2012-13 exams. Hope that helps.

theres no history gcse edexel B

ibrahem — kingston , United Kingdom — 17 Sep 2012 at 07:22:40

Guestbook Editor: Wait, there is! Our Schools History Project Revision Guide (HPM42) covers the Edexcel B course (plus AQA A and OCR A) for The American West, Medicine Through Time and Germany 1919-1945. And it's a nice shade of plum purple.

Can you publish an AS and A2 Physics Student Textbook, like the maths textbook? If so when will it be out? The maths one is great! Would be a great help!

Samuel — Belvedere , United Kingdom — 13 Sep 2012 at 19:40:47

Guestbook Editor: Yes! See the comment below for news about our A-Level AQA A Physics Student Books. Good to hear you're finding the Maths ones useful.

Are you going to make AS and A2 physics student textbook, like you did with the maths, chemistry, biology and psychology? If so when? need one!

2 — Kent , United Kingdom — 13 Sep 2012 at 17:48:51

Guestbook Editor: Yes — we're working on A-Level Student Books for AQA A Physics as we speak. The AS book should be out before Christmas, with A2 following early in 2013. Hope you can hold out till then.

Can we have a continuous assessment in reading for y3,4,5 + 6

Hello, i would just like to ask a simple question. I have chosen religious studies for my GCSE and last year we did Unit 1: Religion and Life based on a study of Christianity and at least one other religion. I used the CGP Religion and Life book but this year were doing another unit on only Islam can i use the same book and will that give me the right and exact info i need.
thanks for your help please please please answer

jo — manchester, United Kingdom — 10 Sep 2012 at 17:53:44

Guestbook Editor: Hello! There are loads of different options for GCSE Religious Studies, so we might need a bit more information to answer your question completely. But we'll give it a go...

It sounds as if you're doing the Edexcel course, and you took Unit 1 (Religion and Life Based on a Study of Christianity and at Least One Other Religion) in Year 10. If you're studying Islam only in Year 11, you're probably doing Unit 11 (Islam). Unfortunately, this isn't covered by the CGP book you've already got, and we don't currently have another book that does cover this Unit.

So, that was basically a long-winded way of saying we can't help you with your Year 11 course at the moment, unless we've misunderstood your question. Sorry.

Hello, was just wondering will you be making an AS economics book? (edexcel?), and will you have an A2 geography revision guide by the end of this year? thanks.

John Bren — Westcliff , United Kingdom — 10 Sep 2012 at 16:23:13

Guestbook Editor: Yes and yes.

Slightly more specifically, AS and A2 Economics books (covering all major exam boards) are on our list of things to do, but they probably won't be ready before mid 2013. However, our long-awaited new book for A2 AQA Geography is going to the printers any day now, so it should be available around the middle of October. I'm doing a little celebratory jig as I type.

When will the books for the new 2012 september courses be coming out? eg- geography.
thank you

colin — watford , United Kingdom — 09 Sep 2012 at 15:15:12

Guestbook Editor: Hello — our new AQA A and OCR B GCSE Geography Revision Guides (updated for the new spelling, punctuation and grammar requirements and 'strengthening') will be available over the next few weeks. Look out for the new editions (GAR43 and GRR43) in our GCSE Geography Section. There's also a brilliant new Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Study Guide for GCSE — you can look through sample pages here. It's out now!

Just made my first order as a self-employed maths tutor and really appreciate the discount for a big order. I've used your revision guides and workbooks for many years whilst working in schools. I always recommend them to parents and students. The clear and fun layout with handy hints helps brings maths to life.

(Commenting on book S2HR44, GCSE Core Science OCR 21st Century Revision Guide - Higher (with online edition) (A*-G course)

This book is AMAZING, this and hard work were probably the reasons I got an A* on my last gcse science test. My advice is get it if you can.

Sophie — London , United Kingdom — 06 Sep 2012 at 18:36:59

Just placed my first order and very excited to get the books and get going with the kids! There are a growing number of us raising kids overseas and trying to the best of our ability to keep up their English education without direct knowledge of the curriculum (and no inclination to plough through the dull government websites and figure it all out!) so your simple and very human website and ordering system is invaluable to us. Many many thanks and going by some of your sample pages, I think I am going to be learning something myself!

Nicky — Tokyo , Japan — 06 Sep 2012 at 04:13:34

Guestbook Editor: CGP — we plough through dull government websites so that you don't have to. Hope you enjoy the books!

We love your books, my daughter finds thems very useful for both reference and her exams. She enjoys them immensely so i get them every school year, as i did for my son. Thanks again. ;)

Helen Choi — Runcorn , United Kingdom — 05 Sep 2012 at 22:34:44
