When will there be a revision guide for Further Maths A level?

tom smith — london , United Kingdom — 29 Oct 2012 at 22:05:57

Guestbook Editor: We're not in the business of making hasty promises, but A-Level Further Maths is definitely something we're looking into. More news as we get it...

This website is rubbish it never gives me what i need ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Anon — Edmonton, United Kingdom — 29 Oct 2012 at 11:43:07

Guestbook Editor: I know what you mean. Last week I needed a 60W lightbulb and a Battenburg cake, but cgpbooks.co.uk was no use at all. I finished my A-Levels thirteen years ago, for goodness' sake.

well articulated

Hello! I've always used your books to pass exams and look clever but now I'm at CERN working on ATLAS and I think I might be out of my depth.

Is accelerator physics on the roadmap, or something that explains how to use ROOT?

Rave safely.

Brian — Manchester, United Kingdom — 26 Oct 2012 at 19:53:50

Guestbook Editor: You nearly had me there, Brian. You and your cheeky grin.

I really love your books, even though im a geordie and people think im stupid (yeah i have a fake tan). You made biology A level so much better for me so thank you CGP. If you ever need fake nails or a [popular cosmetic treatment — Ed], come and visit me!

Candy — Newcastle, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2012 at 21:13:18

When clicking onto 'students' with the image i was redirected back to the same webpage which isn't very helpful

bob — sussex , United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2012 at 20:13:27

Guestbook Editor: Sorry to hear you've had problems with the website — we haven't come across this issue before, so we're not completely sure what you mean. If you'd like to get back to us about the pages it affects, we'll have a look into getting it fixed.

So I'm totes wanting one of your books. I currently do Drama, Photography, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, and Media Studies at AS. Late at night I get so damn lonely. I have many deep and confusing desires which my school text books can't satisfy. Please help me get through my AS-Levels!! Mama needs it!

Chani — Leeds, United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2012 at 15:19:51

Guestbook Editor: Erm, we can probably help with the deep and confusing desires that pertain to Maths and Physics revision — a quick browse around our AS-Level section should suffice. Your other troubles are a little beyond our current areas of expertise, I'm afraid.

I think your study books and workbooks are GREAT! I've used them for years in the classroom and now as home tutor material. They're really concise and the children love them!

khan — southall , United Kingdom — 25 Oct 2012 at 00:36:20

OMG TOTES. So like basics I found your books at GCSE like totes helpful but at AS I had your Chemistry revison guide and it was too vague and I found that the only way I was achieving the A was through using the textbook, which I hate. I'm not sure whether it was because I was using a general revison guide as opposed to an OCR-specific one? I would really like one at A2 but I'm not sure which one to go for? HELP ME PLEASE OMG THE DECISIONS HURT ME SO BAD TOTES PLEASE MAMA NOOOO

Chantel — Essex, United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2012 at 23:39:30

Guestbook Editor: Hello! If you know you're doing OCR, you'd definitely be better off with one of our syllabus-specific A2 Chemistry revision books — we've got separate editions for OCR A and OCR B (Salters).

If you're doing OCR A, you could also take a look at our new in-depth A2 Chemistry Student Book. It's totes... toasty? (Despite being from Essex, I haven't really got the hang of the lingo.)

your books are too expensive i cant pay 10 pounds for every book

lorena — liverpool , United Kingdom — 24 Oct 2012 at 12:13:49

can you make A Level French and Economics revision guides please!?

Lizzy — London , United Kingdom — 23 Oct 2012 at 21:16:32

Guestbook Editor: Good news! A-Level Economics books are looking very likely. Less good news! Not sure about French. You can learn a lot by watching Amélie with the subtitles switched off, though.

why isn't there this type of book for physics ocr a!!! there's one for biology as well but no physics!!!!!!!!

J — Bucks, United Kingdom — 23 Oct 2012 at 20:21:03

Guestbook Editor: Sorry about that — we've got Student Books for AQA A A-Level Physics coming very soon, but we're not planning OCR A equivalents at the moment. We do have some rather nice OCR A Complete Revision & Practice Books for AS-Level and A2-Level, if that's any consolation?

I love your website. It's really easy to find exactly what I need... and you always have exactly what I need. Thanks. Oh, and I'm having chicken curry for dinner tonight in case you wanted to know.

Suzanne — Cambridge , United Kingdom — 22 Oct 2012 at 14:55:23

Guestbook Editor: We did indeed want to know — thanks. I had chicken curry for lunch on Saturday. It's an excellent choice.

I found your service very prompt. Michael was very helpful and replied my query in no time. We find your books very helpful. Can't wait to see your Grammar books for KS2. Many thanks.

Anjna — Sharma , United Kingdom — 21 Oct 2012 at 19:08:53

I have found all your books very useful and child friendly. Being a primary school teacher, your books have been of great value to me and my pupils. I highly recommend them.

It will be much appreciated if you can have pages on model long answers, this will give the students the opportunity to practice and develop their responses using the model responses as foundation or reference.

folasade afolabi — London, United Kingdom — 18 Oct 2012 at 02:00:03

Hi, I just want to say that your GCSE Core Science Revision Guide for AQA bumped my grade up to an A from a low B. I'm in Year 11 currently and hoping that the guides will do the same for my Additional and Extension. :)

Alistair — Stoke , United Kingdom — 17 Oct 2012 at 17:47:42

Bought handwriting SAT buster which is not very left hander friendly! Could be resolved by having to look up at the sentences to copy rather than across to the opposite page. Yes I know I could just rip the book up but don't forget that 10%....

sonia cooper — london, United Kingdom — 17 Oct 2012 at 13:01:03

Helloo! Have you got any plans for a revision guide for Edexcel GCSE Geography Spec A, thanks for helping

Ian — Dunstable , United Kingdom — 14 Oct 2012 at 14:39:18

Guestbook Editor: We only have GCSE Geography books specifically for AQA A and OCR B at the moment. Sorry. Our 'general' GCSE Geography Revision Guide GHR43 combines topics from both these specs, so it should cover a lot of what you need for Edexcel.

Hiya, I am doing double science gcse and wondering what books I need for year 10 an year 11.

Lula — Birmingham , United Kingdom — 13 Oct 2012 at 11:36:43

Guestbook Editor: For Double Science, we'd recommend the following course of action:

1) Find out from your teacher which exam board you're studying with (e.g. AQA or OCR Gateway)
2) Head to our GCSE Science page and get the Core Science (Year 10) and Additional Science (Year 11) books for that exam board.

Hope that helps?

hello thank you for your help i was wondering if these science revision guides were a top seller and are those better than the essentials brand, because they are the ones we could purchase from school.

h.m — manchester, United Kingdom — 10 Oct 2012 at 17:23:33

Guestbook Editor: We're bound to be a bit biased on this, but our GCSE Science Revision Guides are indeed massive sellers — in schools, bookshops and overseas. We bend over backwards to make them as helpful (and entertaining) as possible, so we're confident in saying that you won't find better books.

And in the highly unlikely event that you don't like them, you can return them within 30 days. (See our Infrequently Asked Questions page for more details.) It's win-win!

hello im wondering what GCSE books i will need as i am in year 10 and i am doing ocr gateway triple science, im not sure which books to purchase for all three sciences.

your help is much appreciated

h.m — manchester, United Kingdom — 09 Oct 2012 at 21:39:59

Guestbook Editor: Hello! For GCSE Triple Science, you'll be best off with our separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics books — you'll find versions specifically for OCR Gateway under the 'OCR' heading. Hope this helps — give us a shout if you're still unsure what you need.

Your books and dvd-roms are fantastic!! A great fun way to learn.
I only wish "CGP" had been around for me forty years ago. Where have you been!?? : )

I am now introuducing my eight year old nephew to your products. Please keep up the good work.

Many thanks.

Gary Carter — New York, United Kingdom — 08 Oct 2012 at 11:49:53

Guestbook Editor: Sir — how courteous. We shall certainly endeavour to keep up the good work, and it is our sincerely held wish that your nephew will find much value and entertainment in our various educational products.

Yours faithfully,

Why is your periodic table in your textbooks missing named elements, even though they are new books and some elements have been named since 2009?

Kesia — Sunderland, United Kingdom — 05 Oct 2012 at 15:42:17

Guestbook Editor: I reckon you're talking about ourA-Level Chemistry Student Books. Well spotted! The periodic tables in all our Science and Chemistry books are based on the ones that appear in the exam board specifications. As the specs were written before elements like copernicium were added to the periodic table, they never made it into the specs or our books. You can sleep easy knowing that we do check the specs periodically regularly to make sure we're up to speed with exactly what you need to know.

An excellent site for children and parents - thank you for helping the parents to help their children with school wrok.

A brilliant site, so easy to navigate and order from and the delivery is brilliant if only ordering off the web was as easy as this!!!!!

Julie Raynor — Rotherham , United Kingdom — 03 Oct 2012 at 14:12:42

I have found Science quite difficult in the past and then I discovered CGP! It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me!
Thank you so much CGP. I now love Science and have constantly got my nose in a CGP book!
Thanks again!

Khadijah Ginwalla — Gloucester , United Kingdom — 02 Oct 2012 at 22:10:13

I have enjoyed using your books over the years in my role as a tutor for Maths and English and look forward to many more years ahead. Thank you not only for such good quality resources but also for your sensible pricing policy and your EXCELLENT prompt delivery service.

Ruth — Hickman , United Kingdom — 02 Oct 2012 at 12:47:09

WOW! CGP your revision books are amazing! I used them in my GCSE's last year and you helped me get 8.5 A*'S! I would just like to know if you are planning on doing any AS / A2 books on OCR Further Mathematics? i cant find one anywhere :(

Donna Bradley — Workington, United Kingdom — 01 Oct 2012 at 16:46:00

Guestbook Editor: Wow! Whoa! Waah. Phew.

Gosh, that was cathartic. In answer to your question, Further Maths is a subject we'd really like to cover, but there's nothing definite in the pipeline. (Further Maths joke: why don't complex numbers get on well together? Because they always have arguments.)
