A schoolchild's opinion on CGP; My opinion on CGP:

Although CGP is pretty good, it does not hold my interest for long. It has cheesy jokes, which may appeal to primary school children, but for a child in Year 8, more witty jokes and puns would be preferred.

Also, the book is sometimes misleading, and doesn't get the point across very well, but It is overall pretty good.

Afiza — Luton, United Kingdom — 30 May 2013 at 22:12:58

Guestbook Editor: When I was in Year 8*, my friends and I thought the funniest thing ever was the episode of Blackadder where all the characters keep saying, "Wahey! Sounds a bit rude." Young people today are so much more sophisticated.

* Actually, it might have been Year 9. Or any time in the last twenty years.

Found the required gcse revision guide to produce a mathematical genius. Thankyou

Lisa Mercer — Brentford, United Kingdom — 30 May 2013 at 17:07:58

Nice work guys - keep it up! teaching my kids all sorts of stuff - wish these books were around when I was at school. A mystery how I ever managed to become a doctor!

colin lyons — bristol, United Kingdom — 30 May 2013 at 14:26:33

Guestbook Editor: We have an expression here at CGP: "You don't have to have an in-depth knowledge of Key Stage 3 Geography to be a highly competent and successful practitioner of medicine... but it helps."

as a student i adored your books and used your revision guides and practice papers until university, more than that i loved the fact that you provided free delivery and that too next day however just recently ordered a book for my younger sister and found out you now charge for delivery unless the cost is up to £20.00 or more, not happy with that at all.

ANNIE — mitcham, United Kingdom — 28 May 2013 at 18:43:38

Guestbook Editor: Hello — sorry for making you unhappy. Unfortunately, we sat down with a calculator a few years back and worked out that it cost more to pack and send small orders than we were making from the sale. We do give discounts (and free P&P) on orders over £20 to try to make up for it.

As an alternative, our books are also available from all good online and High Street booksellers, so you can shop around for P&P bargains...

U r sexy

where to shower out the holidays?

SketteHerve — Al Manamah, United Kingdom — 27 May 2013 at 09:53:56

Are there any plans for AS and A2 Edexcel Biology Student text books in the near future?

Tim — Coventry, United Kingdom — 26 May 2013 at 19:00:30

Guestbook Editor: Not that I'm aware of... but Edexcel A-Level Student Books have been a popular request on the Guestbook lately, so maybe our Book Creation team is listening in.

Your Chemistry revision guide made me laugh out loud for five minutes whilst studying dative covalent bonding. Everyone at CGP should be knighted for achieving such a feat.

John Bansworth — Doncaster, United Kingdom — 26 May 2013 at 18:31:26

Guestbook Editor: CGP in "quite funny sometimes, I suppose" shock.

your banter is absolutely hilar...... 'just go with the phloem' is priceless - keep it up! Loving it :)

rebarx — Surrey, United Kingdom — 25 May 2013 at 13:17:42

Guestbook Editor: I don't get it.

Also, as painful as it may be for you to come up with the hundreds of puns, yet again! It would be really nice for an A-level Computing revision guide, though i'm no believer in miracles and know it won't happen overnight, but it would be appreciated!

Nathan — Cheddar, United Kingdom — 24 May 2013 at 23:00:51

Guestbook Editor: Thanks for your comments — glad we could take some of the strain out of your GCSEs. We'll have a think about a non-miraculous A-Level Computing book.

Hello CGP!
I've never been the sort for revision, but I cannot resist your appalling humor and the relaxed tone your books have which makes them sound as if a human has written them, not a robot. I would like to thank you for enabling me to waltz through my GCSE's when I was previously finding it difficult and look forward to taking more transactions for my A-Levels, thanks again!

Nathan — Cheddar, United Kingdom — 24 May 2013 at 22:52:56

Hi, love your books, however I felt a bit disappointed with the Manipulating Surds section in the GCSE revision book as it doesn't cover mixed surds or simplifying surds that have a perfect square as a factor, despite the workbook asking these questions (had to get onto a website to learn how to do so. Oh dear :( ).

If you can add this to the next edition of the revision book, it will be perfect. Cheers! :)

i could'nt find section 2 i.e human as organism

katie — lahore , Pakistan — 21 May 2013 at 13:09:32

It might just be that the increasing number of students achieving higher grades than ever is down to the availability of great books like those by CGP for courses that have not changed for a while. In fact I can see students working harder by themselves when they have up to five revision guides for each subject.

P.S. what is your secret for creating the great iphone apps, I would like to be able to do that myself.

Alexander Harris — London (East), United Kingdom — 21 May 2013 at 01:16:04

Guestbook Editor: There might be something in that. I'll mention it to Michael Gove next time we meet up for coffee.

P.S. The secret to great iPhone Apps is — as we found out the hard way — a lot of time, sweat and technical expertise.

I was wondering if you sold any media studies books because I have seen them advertised in other places like amazon but there aren't many. I would try using other books but I like CGP books especially for science and maths and I am in my GCSE year 10

Flicky — London , United Kingdom — 20 May 2013 at 18:49:21

Guestbook Editor: We don't make a Media Studies book for the current GCSE courses, I'm afraid. We'd like to make one, but we couldn't say how soon it'll arrive. Sorry!

CGP banter is terrible! Jokes are awful! Stop it! you people are ruining my life :(

Daniel — London , United Kingdom — 20 May 2013 at 17:53:55

Guestbook Editor: Our hearts go out to you. Really.

Hi, your books are really helpful, and your app for GCSE science is as well. If it is possible, I have to use my mums iphone for the app, but could you see if you can put it in Windows/ HTC stores please? It is really helpful, but my mum refuses to swap phones with me!

Katherine — London , United Kingdom — 19 May 2013 at 17:37:42

Guestbook Editor: Hello — we'd really like to make our Apps compatible with a wider range of phones and devices, but we're not sure how soon we'll be able to do it at the moment. Our digital team is currently locked up in the CGP dungeon, hunched over other exciting jobs. Apologies to you and your Mum for the hardware-swapping inconvenience in the meantime.

Really clear, easy to use books, I used the Functional Skills books for my adult students and am buying the additional science book for my daughter as she says she is hopeless at science, so hopefully this book will help!

Angela — London , United Kingdom — 18 May 2013 at 09:45:49

Hi, just placed my second order for your revision books to help my son with his work and I have to say the books are a fantastic help for both of us.
Glad you're around to help.

Richard — Coventry, United Kingdom — 14 May 2013 at 22:41:45

Will there be any wjec gcse science revision guides?

Harry — sfjo , United Kingdom — 14 May 2013 at 09:34:21

Guestbook Editor: Probably not in the foreseeable future, sorry.

Hey! Love the books, been so helpful for me to revise from! I bought some of your GCSE seperate science question books, is there anywhere i can get the answers though? Thanks!

Tara — Town , United Kingdom — 14 May 2013 at 09:33:45

Guestbook Editor: Sure. The Answer Books that go with our Workbooks are usually printed separately, and listed in the same place on our website — for example, in the GCSE Biology section.

There was a book named GCSE Media Studies Revision Guide and I couldn't find it on the CGP website neither any other shopping websites, any chance there are any books?

GCSEExperts — No Application , United States of America — 12 May 2013 at 18:48:03

Guestbook Editor: Sorry — we don't have any stock left of our GCSE Media Studies Revision Guide. GCSE exam requirements changed in 2009, and we didn't update this book at the time.

Looking forward to getting the first book. My daugter doing GCSE's is more stressfull than when I did O Levels!!! :(

Susie — Coalville , United Kingdom — 12 May 2013 at 15:43:12

My son has just brought some of your books home to revise for yr6 SATS and they're brilliant! I haven't come across them before and i've just placed an order to help my daughter with maths and English (yr5). I would have found it helpful if there had been a suggested book list by year group/subject as a starting point, instead of having to navigate through study/workbooks to find matching items.

Julia — Wakefield , United Kingdom — 12 May 2013 at 11:39:13

Guestbook Editor: That's a good suggestion — it can be tricky to find your way around our books at first, especially for primary. Pleased to hear you found what you needed in the end.

p books really helped when i was revising for my testts i recomend cgp for revision books

lilie — london , United Kingdom — 12 May 2013 at 11:28:15

Your books are simply the best :D
Any plans on making the A-Level stuff interactive?

Tulsi — London , United Kingdom — 12 May 2013 at 10:33:42

Guestbook Editor: Thanks! We're big fans of digital projects these days, so A-Level interactivity is definitely a possibility.

Can you make some wjec specific science revision guides. It would be really useful.

Henry Hughes — Cardiff , United Kingdom — 11 May 2013 at 20:40:41

Will you be releasing the apps on Android? Would love to buy them (we were shown them in science) but can't. Great work by the way.

Marina — Manc , United Kingdom — 11 May 2013 at 13:57:25

Guestbook Editor: This is something we'd really like to do. We're just having some trouble squeezing it into our hectic digital schedule as things stand.

I found your GCSE revision apps which look amazing but will you update them to support IGCSE edexcel as you have done this with the revision books themselves?

Zan Haq — Harrow , United Kingdom — 11 May 2013 at 10:53:36

Brilliant books! I am feeling very confident for my upcoming geography exam. Are there any plans to produce the new style A level science books for the Edexcel exam board?

John Smith — Truro , United Kingdom — 11 May 2013 at 10:09:01

Guestbook Editor: Good news — hope the exam goes well. Not sure about Edexcel A-Level Student Books at the moment, though. Watch this space.

Any plans for A level spanish cgp books???

Boby — haxby , United Kingdom — 08 May 2013 at 20:12:28

Guestbook Editor: We'd really like to... but nothing specifically planned just yet.

CGP is a #1 excellent study guide [my opinion, and hopefully yours!] It makes learning so amazing and great! I need more [better than mathletics!]

Marco — London, United Kingdom — 08 May 2013 at 19:03:41

I Have my Maths sats in a week, got my fingers crossed for a Level 5. Your Site helps so much and the games help me loads. Thanks for your new books as well, and wish me good luck in the SATs!

Thomas C — Middleton , United Kingdom — 08 May 2013 at 15:47:08

Guestbook Editor: Good luck in the SATs!

Are there any plans to produce anything for edexcel further maths a level

Just bought two books off you, and looking forward to getting them. Having grilled sea urchin for tea.

Harry — Bruton, United Kingdom — 03 May 2013 at 18:11:13

Guestbook Editor: What a delicacy.

Just love the ease of ordering from you, your quick delivery and your humour and we are having jacket potato and salad to eat this evening.

Anna — Milton Keynes, United Kingdom — 02 May 2013 at 16:38:01

Useful, lovely, clear, cheap. Well done

RV Griffiths — Aylesbury , United Kingdom — 01 May 2013 at 19:19:07

What a delight these competent, good value, 'made in England' manuscripts are. A hark back to the good old days where quality mattered..

Useful, lovely and funny - just as a study book should be.

Will Wordsmith — Olde Buckingham, United Kingdom — 01 May 2013 at 19:17:12

I ordered books from you and the next day they were delivered. Excellent service and the books are brill. I've just ordered 2 more books. Thank you
