Guestbook Archive - April 2017
Thank you for these books, they are fantastic!! I'm very worried with the whole thing about the grades changing to numbers (1-9). But I know that these books will help me a lot!

In your GCSE Religious Studies OCR B: Ethics 1 & 2 Revision Guide, I have noticed that a dash in God has been placed so as to show respect for different religions but Allah, the Islamic name for God, this has not been done. I find this appalling. Muslims deserve to be shown just as much respect for their beliefs, especially because they have a tendency to not write out the name Allah out of respect.

Guestbook Editor: Hello — thanks for your comment. In this GCSE Religious Studies book, we write "God" when referring to Christianity, "G-d" for Judaism and "Allah" for Islam. These are the terms used in the OCR specification, so we've written them the same way to make sure students know what to expect in the exam. No disrespect meant.
Wow! I guessed between 2 - 3 days turnaround on a delivery but I ordered my son's books at 5:30pm on the Monday and Fed Ex had them at my door at 8:30am on Tuesday. They must have elves working through the night - fantastic service. Thank you.

CGP really does make such a difference to your revision. They got me through school and now as a trainee teacher I still use them to help with my lesson planning! They are so easily accessible and don't make revision or planning feel like a chore at all - one of the most worthwhile buys i've ever made!

Guestbook Editor: Great! (Although we assume you're nigelthephysicist rather than nigelthephysician?)

As a Home Ed parent and a tutor for 11+ I just could NOT be without CGP. Affordable (with amazing discounts) and accessible to children the workbooks are simply superb. Lovely staff who are helpful and friendly. What's not to like?!

called into customer service about 4 separate times, as my sons' education is very important! The person on the other end of the phone was very helpful... and patient. Thank you, voice on the other end of the line!

Is it possible that you'll do an AQA Religious Studies 9-1 Complete revision & Practice book?
Adanna — London, United Kingdom — 17 Apr 2017 at 16:51:17
Guestbook Editor: Yes, very possible indeed (although it'll be a Revision Guide rather than a Complete Revision & Practice book). It's coming soon!
I've got your GCSE Biology OCR Gateway workbook higher - it is really stupid and inconvenient that there are no answers within the book or accessible online, the book is therefore pointless as I can not correct my mistakes and learn from them. Would not recommend.

Hi CGP! Thank you for making excellent revision guides!!
I was wondering if you are thinking of making a Politics A Level guide for the new course, or a GCSE Astronomy guide?
Ore — London, United Kingdom — 13 Apr 2017 at 22:48:01
Guestbook Editor: Hi Ore! Thank you for your question!
Sadly, the answer is 'no' to both parts at the moment. Maybe one day we'll dabble in (A-Level) Politics...
S'what do you say bout de English igcse book then?
ria — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 11 Apr 2017 at 10:58:39
Guestbook Editor: We say... maybe? Bit of a non-committal answer, but it's the best we can do for now. Sorry!
Hello. Could you confirm what chapters of the revision guide are in Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the AQA biology, physics and chemistry exams ? As there are 3 sections in the revision book (but just 2 exams) I'm a confused parent and the exam specification is really confusing !
Annie — LONDON, United Kingdom — 11 Apr 2017 at 09:04:26
Guestbook Editor: Hi — GCSE Science exams certainly can be confusing. In fact, there are so many GCSE Science courses on the go at the moment that we need to ask you a few questions before we can answer yours...
1) Is your son/daughter in Year 10 or Year 11?
2) Are they taking two GCSEs in Science, or three?
3) Which of our Revision Guides are you using? (You can just give us the short code underneath the barcode on the back cover)

Hello — Luton, United Kingdom — 09 Apr 2017 at 10:48:00
Guestbook Editor: Shh... you'll give the other children ideas.
CGP you have helped me a lot thanks to you revision guides and your workbooks.

Thanks to all the CGP for helping me understand the new GCSE English exams!

Really good revision guides that help with practice exam questions and quick and simple note taking! Thanks CGP!

Thanks CGP. You are crazy. You do so much and work your socks off having the latest books out and always expanding your stock. You helped me through my gcses and gave me a head start to a levels and helped me through them as well , which is why I am now studying BIOLOGY (with a bit of psychology involved) AT OXFORD. Oh CGP, you are the gods of good luck, and so you shall sprinkle some of that on me for I have another 2000 word essay to do on: "To What Extent is Electroconvulsive Therapy Effective in Treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Soldiers Returning From War?" . Probably going to stay late at night again but it is absolutely amazing I wouldn't be here without you guys.
Freya — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 04 Apr 2017 at 19:58:23
Guestbook Editor: Consider yourself sprinkled. That essay sounds like heavy going — hope it went well.
You know what, I think you should add answers to every book and if it is for school then the teachers can rip them out or they can let you know in advance and you can put that answer booklet into another booklet or you can create the same version of the book but with and without answers.

Please consider English IGCSE books — lots of grammar and independent schools need them and they are currently relying on the exam boards themselves for IGCSE stuff!

Great easy site to use. The only thing I would like to see is the "final" billing sheet BEFORE the order is processed. I realize with exchange rates it may not be exact, but it is a little daunting to not even see an estimate. Cheers.
