where could I find the answers to GCSE Biology for edexcel (grade 9-1) exam practice workbook

Michael Malam — London/Watford, United Kingdom — 29 Dec 2017 at 17:03:22

Guestbook Editor: Hi — you'll find the Answer Book for this one here.

Thank you so much for your great GCSE English resources. They make a tutor's life a lot easier and my students love them too! I started ordering from you in 2000 when I was Mrs Davis and ran Ridgeway Tutorial Centre and 17 years later I am still teaching and ordering your lovely books.

Linda Pope — SWINDON, United Kingdom — 29 Dec 2017 at 12:09:06

Guestbook Editor: You're very welcome. And we have plenty more GCSE English resources on the way in 2018...

Man wen I went to Hogwarts none of this stuff was required there

As a teacher, I absolutely love your books- wish I had them when I was studying many moons ago. I do have a question. Your practice questions, buster books etc, are they 'real' questions taken from past papers, or do you use the questions as a 'model' for the revision and adapt? Children often do get bogged down with a lot of past papers when then revise, I was hoping your questions are slightly different.

Naz Ahmed — London, United Kingdom — 29 Dec 2017 at 03:35:39

Guestbook Editor: No problem — all the questions in our books and practice papers are original, created by our team of writers and editors. But we do study past papers carefully to make sure we're providing the most realistic and helpful practice possible.

Hey in the A-level Year 1 & AS Edexcel Chemistry(ISBN:9781782942887) on page 72 the example says aqueous potassium hydroxide but the equation given is for sodium hydroxide please take this in to consideration

Jatan vadgama — Nairobi, Kenya — 27 Dec 2017 at 09:48:57

Guestbook Editor: Well spotted — thanks for pointing it out. We'll correct that next time we reprint the book.

I have placed my order around 7-8 PM on the 21/12/17 does that mean it will be dispatched on the 22/12/17? By definition it should come on the '25/12/17' but no person will be working on Christmas day, so when will my order arrive?

Onabill Choudhury — Scunthorpe, United Kingdom — 22 Dec 2017 at 18:51:32

Guestbook Editor: Hopefully you will have received your order by the time you read this — it should have reached you some time in the week after Christmas. Let us know if it hasn't arrived!

In the A-Level AQA Chemistry Textbook Year 1/AS (CATB52) on page 107 there are only two fact-recall question, but in the markscheme (page 281) there are answers for four questions. What happened??

Chris M — Bracknell, United Kingdom — 22 Dec 2017 at 16:06:28

Guestbook Editor: Ah, well spotted — sorry about that. We probably had to remove Q3 and Q4 for space reasons, but forgot to remove the corresponding answers. We'll fix it at the next reprint. Thanks!

Please please consider making a online resource for edexcel gcse combined science and more of the targeted grade 8,9 books for geography English etc. Otherwise very good indeed

Aishah — Cambridde, United Kingdom — 21 Dec 2017 at 09:06:24

How can I track my order or know how long it will take?

Dana — Townville, United Kingdom — 20 Dec 2017 at 11:58:40

Guestbook Editor: Hello — we don't currently offer a tracking service, but if you place an order with us before 5pm, Monday to Friday, we'll dispatch it the same day. That means it should reach you the next working day if you're in the UK!

Great tool to get me my grades, well done!

Emily Morris — Southam, United Kingdom — 19 Dec 2017 at 12:03:48

Great service. Had a problem with a CGP book I bought elsewhere and CGP were great at sorting it out. Would definitely recommend buying directly from CGP.

Joy Hay — Faringdon, United Kingdom — 16 Dec 2017 at 14:14:21

My reluctant 15 year old really enjoyed your comic strips for his revision, very motivating- thanks!

On p.65 of the Chemistry AQA GCSE Revision Guide, the cathode is written to be the positive electrode and the anode is said to be the negative electrode but they are in fact the wrong way around.

V Vaghela — London, United Kingdom — 16 Dec 2017 at 10:55:45

Guestbook Editor: It's a bit confusing, but this is actually correct. We've added a note to the latest reprint of the book to clear things up. Here's what it says:

"Watch out — in electrolysis the anode is the positive electrode and the cathode is the negative one. When dealing with fuel cells, they’re the other way round."

Hope that helps.

What website do I go on so that I could enter the code on my CGP book and get an online textbook

Lyna — Manchester, United Kingdom — 15 Dec 2017 at 19:20:25

Guestbook Editor: The page you're looking for is cgpbooks.co.uk/extras — once you're there, just type your code into the box on the top-right.

I wish cgp could do a health and social care revision guide

Susan Ann-marie Willetts — Mansfield, United Kingdom — 14 Dec 2017 at 19:49:19

I still don't understand trigonometry

mike — rob, United Kingdom — 14 Dec 2017 at 19:24:19

I love CGP books, they make my life so much easier. I use the exam practice work books as home work books. The questions are relevant to the level and already graded, plus I have a copy of the answers.

Tania Savage — Liverpool, United Kingdom — 11 Dec 2017 at 17:26:09

There is a grammar mistake in your GCSE Physics AQA (Grade 9-1) Revision Guide on Page 79- EM Waves and Their Uses. It says ‘Absorbing IR radiation causes objects to get hotter. Food can cooked using IR radiation- the temperature of the food increases when it absorbs IR radiation, e.g. from a toaster’s heating element.’ You need to edit this to food can ‘be’ cooked.

Willow Barber — Birmingham , United Kingdom — 10 Dec 2017 at 21:04:15

Guestbook Editor: How right you are. We'll make sure that missing 'be' is inserted when we next reprint the book. Thanks for pointing it out!

(Commenting on book CAQ41B, New Grade 9-1 GCSE Chemistry: AQA Exam Practice Workbook (with answers)

I have a AQA GCSE chemistry (Grade 9-1) workbook which don't have the answers. Can I order the answer booklet? I can't find the answer booklet on your website.

Sangya — Newbury , United Kingdom — 09 Dec 2017 at 08:54:28

Guestbook Editor: You certainly can — you'll find it here.

Awesome .... just awesome ... experience is beyond words after the GCSE hunt through other providers. Will be coming here as first port of call from now until the Kids leave education. Great Job.

David Lochrie — Derby, United Kingdom — 07 Dec 2017 at 23:10:26

Love the psychology a level guides. Would really appreciate some more English guides for a level, especially AQA ones for the anthology and for The Handmaids Tale and A Streetcar Named Desire.

Alisha — Kent, United Kingdom — 07 Dec 2017 at 12:01:39

The a level biology and chemistry books are absolute lifesavers. Would really appreciate some more a level English revision guides though, like the range there is for the GCSE revision guides.

Ashliya Pathania — Kent, United Kingdom — 07 Dec 2017 at 11:59:45
