I thoroughly recommend the CGP study guides, I tutor sciences at GCSE and A Level. The CGP books are my first suggestion to all new students that I tutor, the study guides follow the new specifications exactly and explain everything clearly without omissions. Sitting the exams without these books would be very difficult for the students.

I love these! Only problem I have is that I am doing several igcses which you don't have the books for (spanish and history). Apart from that, these books are awesome and a real lifesaver.

Been a loyal customer for several years. Do not think you can get better A level biology texts at a more competitive price.

For maths practice papers cannot find online answers and worked solution as advised putting in cgpbooks.co.uk/ does not take you the location to find these

Maybe in a separate booklet, there better be detailed solutions to the exercise problems in all chapters of the book.
Let there be some way to get clarification or solution for every unsolved problem of the great book, PLEASE !!!
Anwar Hussain Faruqh — LONDON, United Kingdom — 09 Sep 2018 at 17:44:46
Guestbook Editor: All the answers are included at the back of this Textbook, but we haven't included all the working out — there are thousands of questions, so an in-depth Answer Book would probably end up being heavier than the Textbook itself.
The good news is that there are step-by-step worked examples on almost every page of the book, so you'll never have to look far for help with any questions you're stuck on.
I've bought CGP books since 2011 and used them for both my children doing GCSE's and A-Levels. They are the easiest and most concise revision guides I've come across, assisting them to achieve outstanding results. I love the humour in them and recommend them to my SEN students that I support. Keep up this fantastic format!!

Thanks you so much for producing your revision guides and workbooks. I'd never done science in school before September 2017 and took my Biology GCSE this year. My teacher didn't give any homework all year and I didn't learn anything in their classes. The Biology revision guide and workbook taught me everything! I worked through it many times (so many, in fact that by the end of my course it looked as if a dog had eaten it then spat it back out....). I was delighted when I found out I got a B. I'll be using your books again this year 11. (By the way, the covers keep falling off the books about a week after I by them).

I bought the GCSE Maths, AQA Physics, AQA Biology and AQA Chemistry books for my son. He achieved grades: 8,8, 8 and 7 respectively!
He could have done even better, but unfortunately he was lazy and didnt want to revise.
Your books are absolutely necessary for anyone who want to achieve high grades and are far better than the "AQA recommended" ones.
Thank you again!

I have been a fan of the CGP revision guides and workbooks for years. I am a tutor and my first recommendation to all of my erstwhile students and their families is to get these revision guides and the accompanying workbooks ‘kind of really quick’. I consider these books to be the backbones of the subject and the workbooks as progress questions. These excellent books tell the student this is the essential stuff you must learn without adding too much fluff. Once the backbone is in place, the student must then add as much ‘meat’ as they want from the other equally excellent range of student books available for all examination boards. And for the keen go online to be inspired by the genius of these scientists who made our lives so much better.
But the backbone first! Well done CGP.

Thank you so much for GCSE Spanish, English Language and Poetry+Unseen Poetry guides! I ended up getting 8s in English Language and Spanish and 9 in Literature so thank you! :)
I would like to ask if you could publish some A-level guides, especially for English Lit?
Danilo — London, United Kingdom — 26 Aug 2018 at 19:40:51
Guestbook Editor: Nice work — congratulations on your grades! We'll pass on your request for A-Level English Lit to our book development team, but we can offer you a pleasing trio of A-Level English Text Guides in the meantime.
I just asked the nice lady on the train if they had any CGP books on board. "No..." she said, puzzledly.
Please tell the sales team to redouble efforts immediately.... there are people out here being left out in the cold without the warm comfort blanket of CGP books!
Quick.... ..... no, quicker than that!
Richard — Train to Toronto, Canada — 23 Aug 2018 at 15:26:04
Guestbook Editor: Thanks for pointing this out! While we're proud to have sent thousands of CGP books to happy customers all over the world, it sounds like the Ontario public transport network might be one of the few places we've overlooked. We'll endeavour to do a better job of covering our tracks in future.
Honestly, I cannot thank CGP enough for their customer service. Over the past six years as a student and the past 4 years of tutoring, these books have been absolute gold in helping with understanding the foundation to complex material these Exam Boards have put out for us. So much has changed in the curriculum for the past 6 years and I cannot thank you guys for not only being supportive in the books you produce, but being so consistent with it. You don't find that much. Also, the customer service is amazing! Any little silly mistake I've ever had in ordering books has always been rectified with you guys. Keep it up. The future generations need you!

Best service ever. Never faced a disappointment so far. Keep it up. Even though prices of books is a lot ; it's still worth the money. However, I would suggest it would be good to help disadvantaged children by offering a lower price

Your text guides are fantastic! I plan on using them for my A-levels when I continue with English literature. However, what's with the absence of any English language books from your A-level range? Surely that is a subject that warrants some revision guides or textbooks? I always love how simple and informative your books are, so it's a major disappointment that there's nothing for English language A-level? Will this potentially change in the future?
Tolga — Eskici, United Kingdom — 27 Jun 2018 at 12:35:27
Guestbook Editor: Yep, there's definitely potential for A-Level English Language books in the future. Just need to squeeze them in to our schedule...

I want to do Spanish A level, and I was wondering what books you would recommend? I just finished GCSEs (hooray!) and I was wondering if you could make any workbooks?
Furthermore, are all your workbooks different or similar?
P.s. I really want to do ancient history or history of art? will u do any guides for those?
Danilo — London, United Kingdom — 22 Jun 2018 at 23:48:16
Guestbook Editor: Congratulations on finishing your GCSEs — hope they went swimmingly.
We don't cover A-Level Spanish at the moment, unfortunately... and the same goes for Ancient History and History of Art. We're always keen to expand the range of subjects we cover, but no news on any of those for the time being.
We're not quite sure what you mean about whether our Workbooks are different or similar — could you rephrase the question? Thanks!
love your books, however, a quick question - why aren't all your books able to be online editions? :) thanks.
jasmin — smallthorne, United Kingdom — 22 Jun 2018 at 18:02:04
Guestbook Editor: Thanks — great to hear you love the books.
It takes quite a bit of time and work to create Online Editions, so we focus on the ones that will be useful to the biggest number of students (e.g we don't make Online Editions of our Exam Practice Workbooks, as most people will want to be able to write their answers on paper).
We include free Online Editions with most of our major Revision Guides and Student Books for GCSE and A-Level — not bad for starters!
Oh dear... I've worked my socks off...
