Jade Brucher — nazeing, essex , UK — 23 Mar 2002 at 14:23:00

On holiday in London last Christmas, a friend of ours who lives and teaches in London showed my wife and I some CGP books she had ordered for her school. We were so impressed with the quality of the books that we, both teachers, bought a few titles to take back. Since then we have ordered many of your titles at GCSE and KS2 levels for use at home for our private students and at the schools we teach at. Keep up the good work CGP. We just wish that the P&P costs were as affordable as the books themselves.

Nigel Hosein — San Fernando , Trinidad Tobago — 23 Mar 2002 at 12:24:00

Rob Jones — , UK — 19 Mar 2002 at 19:19:00

As a year 11 student I have been using your revision guides and work books since year 9 (i did a couple early) as much as I find your books useful and easy to understand, the comments that are supposedly funny, are actually not, and quite patronising. This is a view shared by myself and my friends. Please do the next year of students a favour and remove the patronisingness of these comments. :) xxx

RONALD ARULNESAN — LANGLEY, BERKSHIRE , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 21:03:00

I just realised this guestbook was here, but I would like to thank everyone there at CGP for writing such great books. I used them for my SATS last year and I ended up getting level 8, 8 and 7. Thanks a lot, Seb PS. Do you do any GCSE statistics revision guides?

Seb Philpott — Southend, Essex , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 20:23:00

I am not at all pleased with the large price increase in your revision books. I am a bookshop, and I have noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of sales I am receiving. I am therefore, considering closing my bookshop account with you. I currently have another publisher I am working with, who actually sell their revision books at a substantially lower rate, for bookshops. A £1 increase is not acceptable CGP!!! I have stayed with the company for a long time.... Remember, glossy pages, £3 books and the time when you didn't have 0870 numbers?

Kyle Campfield — St Helens, Merseyside , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 20:07:00

Im in yr 6 and im very worried about SATs your books are really helping though!

Alice — , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 19:01:00

Tom Williams — Wilmington, Kent , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 18:18:00

to expensive for a book might aswell ask ur teacher

nat — IOW, , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 17:48:00

Your books are super-duper. They are just the one. They have the best jokes that let you learn at the same time. If you are buying one you are going the right way about getting a 5 in all your test. The amount of books we have in our house is about 30. I am 11 and I think they are well well good for the money even though I don't earn any money. Every one I advice you to buy these books if you are doing the SATS!

Arjuna Chandrakumar — South Harrow, Middlesex , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 17:45:00

HI! I love your books they are really cool. with your books i got the the top score for my maths and English and first i always got the middle no matter what other book i got i use to get the same. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

henna — , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 17:29:00

I think CGP's are the best, they've really helped me to revise for my exams because before I could never concentrate on my revision and I didn't know how to learn everything, but now my grades have shot right up and I've got loads and loads of CGP's, I'm encouraging everyone to get CGP's.

Nuneeta Darji — Wallington, Surrey , UK — 17 Mar 2002 at 16:58:00

Great! I am a year 9 pupil and my SATS are fast approaching. I have my mocks next week and these guides are very helpful! Thanks! Can i just make a suggestion. When my dad orders books for me with his credit card, he is totally confused when the "form submitted" thing comes up when the order is placed. Cant you just put "CGP thanks you for your order" or something like that. Thanks! Neil.

Neil Robinson — Swindon , UK — 16 Mar 2002 at 09:47:00

I think that the CGP books are great. My school southwater junior has brought in a load of the science study books for us to by off the school and in 3 days I had already read it once.

Victoria Keene — , UK — 16 Mar 2002 at 06:41:00

i really like the books but i think that u should have more examples of the work books on the internet.

suleyman tatar — , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 22:17:00

i Love your site! Can you make language books for younger ages please!!!!!! Yours sincerely ALEX

Alex Cook — Sutton Coldfield , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 20:42:00

The prices of your Study Books has gone up £1. The Question Book and all the books in the KS2 Science Series have gone up in price as well. I love your books but for the money you pay, it really isn't worth it. I'll try to get a cheaper deal elsewhere!

Sean — , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 20:40:00

i like your books

liam beard — pontefract , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 16:42:00

Just a suggestion - it would be a good idea to do a Science revision book that covers Biology, Chemistry and Physics together because not everyone can afford to buy separate books - especially when they are doing 10 GCSEs and need revision books and practice papers for all 10 subjects. A DT book would come in handy as well. I think the books that you have now are great but these would be just as popular.

Anonymous — , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 16:24:00

i think you need to put revision games on the web site to help people taking sats revise but i must say the books are very good thank you

Laura — , UK — 15 Mar 2002 at 12:31:00

your books are funny and wounderful, I'd love to read more of your books in the near future. from your new guest Daniel.

Daniel Faluyi — Forest Hill, London , UK — 14 Mar 2002 at 20:22:00

i think that the books are great for revising but you could make it more fun by putting games on the net which help you learn as well as being great fun.

becky — , UK — 14 Mar 2002 at 20:19:00

Hiya I'm just coming up to my sats and i got 73 altogether in maths and im supposed to get a level 5 Do the CGP practise papers help me to understand it more

A website that looks promising until you want to buy something. Probably one of the worst examples of an online ordering website. Has anyone ever looked at the purchase confirmation page ?

janne — , UK — 14 Mar 2002 at 17:57:00

books are just great my dad says "he wished he had books of this quality that make the lessons so easy, all the answer's are on the page either written or drawn". thanks my dads books are too boring got to read about six pages and then work it out in your head how to draw the experiment!! i think he's really clever and underrated if he did all this work from reading i've seen his school books, bye.

anna franks — old basford, nottingham , UK — 14 Mar 2002 at 14:50:00

Cyrus — Abu-Dhabi , UAE — 14 Mar 2002 at 10:29:00

Your books really helped me last year with my SATS and I'm taking my french and I.T GCSE this year, so I'm SO thankful that you have brought the I.T guide out just in time to stop me from failing! Please keep making them because they have helped me in all my exams so far and hopefully will in the future!

Casey — , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 21:26:00

i think your books are really cool. I am in year 9 and i am currently revising for my SAT's. These books look complicated but they are full of information. They are the best books I have ever had from my school. Thank You for supplying them for us

Hayley Sian McCarthy — , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 21:10:00

How do you find out all this stuff. Thanks TERRI

Terri Ann Joyce — , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 20:50:00

The books are a good help, but I think for people like me (Set1 of 7, year 9) they aren't adult enough. And in the levels 5-8 second edition 2002 & 2003 there's a mistake on the second page. It says that prime numbers don't divide by anything. That's not true. They'll divide be themselves and one, right?

Puzzlet88 — Bolton , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 20:46:00

I think your books are great. You can learn as well as have fun. I have got your science book and I can learn easily and it give me the able to do well in ks3 sats thanxz

Natalie Crockford — Aldershot, Hampshire , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 20:16:00

I learnt a lot from these books, they are very helpful specially in KS2 Math and Science. I found these books are sometimes funny as well. I wonder if I can revise on line, if it is possible would you please send me the web site.

jayde spencer — , UK — 13 Mar 2002 at 20:00:00

I think the books are funny. But sometimes they say things that are not very funny to some people. But other than that I think the are a joke.

We have foreign language classes at Walcat with many more or less 'mature' students. We are interested in the GCSE revision guides both new and old, plus if you ever produce anything for EFL at any level/s. If you ever have any special offers on the revision guides &/or workbooks (eg. if we buy 10), as people may like to buy their own copies but the college requisitioning is tedious and tiresome and insists on minimum purchases of anything whatsoever! Thanks. Keep up the good work there in Cumbria

your books are ace and i got a leval 4 in english from the book thanxs

LAURA JOHNSON — DURHAM , UK — 12 Mar 2002 at 16:12:00

Its all very well having a book with everything you need to know on the subject, but what your books don't give, is help on how to revise, if you don't revise well all the work you do won't sink in. I know you have tips at the bottom of each page but its really not enough, all it tells you is how important is is to learn the information and silly jokes that just aren't funny. Don't get me wrong i think the books are fab, i just think that it could be easier to learn, just a comment i'm not complaining or nothing

Jessica Crimes — Muswell Hill, London , UK — 12 Mar 2002 at 11:30:00

Hi CGP your books are great today i bought one of your maths revision books and its great. But the thing is i had to ask for the books to be ordered into school by the time i have got one for english and science it will be near the S.A.Ts. PLEASE HELP

Atif Kazi — , UK — 11 Mar 2002 at 20:29:00

I think that the books are great but section two on algebra the examples need to be explained in more depth and detail. Thank alot

james hemming — london , UK — 11 Mar 2002 at 19:57:00

Fantastic books, very cheap and direct unlike many other 'revision guides', the personal approach makes the reader want to learn the information, and the reiteration of the fact of covering the page after reading, and writing down what you have learnt is an extremely positive step. I look around the classroom at the revision books my class mates use and the majority of them are cgp, a tribute to the superb all round quality of the books produced, matched by no other.

margret luta — , UK — 10 Mar 2002 at 16:49:00

I have only started buying your books this year for my Key Stage 3 exams. I used a different set of book last year, all i can say is i wished i had been offered your books last year. I really like these books as they are very helpful. They only do small bits so i can do as much as i want without feeling over worked on the subject. Thank you for producing these great books. I really like the one on Macbeth! However i think you should put some more things on the web site, like actually revision that we can do here.

Lauren Murphy — , UK — 10 Mar 2002 at 14:10:00

Good work in the making of these books. There cool!! I think you should include a tape with the practice papers because that's what we have to do in real exams, e.g, S.A.T'S. Thank you.

Phil — Manchester , UK — 10 Mar 2002 at 12:59:00

Your study books are the best, This May I will be taking my S.A.T.s. I have recently bought your CGP key stage two Maths study book, as I know my weakest point is Maths I studied the book. It made much more sense compared to what my teacher talks about! Thanks for the help! CGP books rule!!!

I am a busy district nurse in Darlington with 3 girls age 15, 11 and 9 (and a great husband!) We only discovered how great your books are last year, they are fantastic, so easy to follow for children and adults-- many thanks. We have bought lots of books already and plan to purchase many more. You must have helped many children to pass their exams. Continue the good work!

Thank you. I like most of what you have done.

UEARS DESIGN — , UK — 09 Mar 2002 at 02:29:00

i love cgp books but i get confused wiv all the science books. I have just taken my 2002 modules and got confused on whether 2 buy final exam 1's or separate books on each subject. Why can't you just put all the subjects in2 1 book instead of doin separate 1's, it's sooooo confusing. I also think u shud change the private order prices. It's only £2 @ schools but an extra £2.50 at home. I spoke 2 my teachers and coz r schools so crap we won't b gettin all of ur books in hardly ne subjects so it's costing me an absolute fortune 2 pay 4 all of these books! Please please please please consider lowering the prices!! thanx neway, i passed my biology 2002 modules thanx 2 u!!

David Entwistle — Southend on Sea, Essex , UK — 08 Mar 2002 at 09:37:00

I think these books just don't contain enough material to help people get A*s

Katie Brown — , UK — 07 Mar 2002 at 21:21:00

Hi I have just come onto this web site expecting there to be old practice papers and lots of more advice for my next science modular test, however I was surprised to see that ther was no such thing and all this website is for is to sell more revision guides and to add a view to a log book. On the other hand though i think the web site organisers are great, i think this because they put negative comments in the log book as well as positive ones! Well done and keep up the good work!

Stephanie Anne — , UK — 07 Mar 2002 at 19:46:00

I have always used these revision books for sats and my first modular science exams, i did extremely well and achieved A* in Biology A in chemisty and A in physics and i would just like to say thanks, because without your revision guides i would find revising very hard and i'm sure i would not of achieved so high grades in my exams and once again thank you all for your help

Stephanie Anne — moston, Manchester , UK — 07 Mar 2002 at 19:38:00

Hallooo there! I got "D" grades for both Maths and English when I was at school in 1990! I am a 26 year old Mum and have decided after all this time to aim for better grades. I am in the Navy and we use your books for Maths. The whole class (including Senior Rates), agree that it's excellent. I went and bought the English book as I was so impressed. I wish that I had your books when I was at school. What a breath of fresh air they are! Laura xx

i DO NOT think that your books are very useful. in your book that i am using, which is the Maths Revision Guide and the Maths Workbook levels 5-8, i was given from school, i know all the things that have mainly been spoken about or explained in detail. When i look for things i am not sure about there is nothing about these areas. i have had the 2 books for months but we haven't needed them until this week. in my sats i am predicted level 8 and maybe EP but with these RUBBISH revision books im very wary about this. There is nothing about multiplying and dividing fractions, there is a little bit about Simultaneous Equations but there isnt anything about rearranging the equations. would you please E:Mail me back

However there isn't a Travel and Tourism one and i was just wondering do you have plans to produce one. Thanks Daniel

jo snow — , UK — 05 Mar 2002 at 19:35:00

I am taking my GCSEs this year. I have many of your revision guides, workbooks and answer books for many subjects. I find them really useful for my revision. However I have noticed that you don't do a book for Sociology. Why is this?

Amie Horner — Tealby, Lincolnshire , UK — 05 Mar 2002 at 19:26:00

I really like your books BUT because i live in Wales i could not get a level 8 in my sats last year. Luckily there are no restrictions on GCSE'S but you have really helped me with the work i have done. I actually have module exams tomorrow in science. Any chance of changing the level 8 thing any time soon?

As a teacher of GCSE D&T Food Technology and Child Development, I was wondering when you were going to start writing books, guides etc for these subjects. I already buy and have bought the books for my teenage daughters' use and she finds them very useful. At her school they also provide these books, so I would love to also provide them for my students. The revision guides are really good, easy to follow, especially for the likes of me in subjects such as Science and Maths, so I can help her with homework!

Gillian — Elmbridge, Glos, UK — 04 Mar 2002 at 23:35:00

If I dont get straight A's in my GCSE's, i will be very unhappy as I have been studying for a long time using your revision guides.

CGP books rule! They have really helped me with my understanding of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night". To start off with I was total rubbish but now I am aiming for a level 7 in my Sats. Your maths revision books have also really helped me out loads. Thanks CGP. U RULE!!!!!

Josh Stanton — Solihull, Birmingham , UK — 04 Mar 2002 at 20:22:00

the science book is really good - i actually want to read them instead of thinking that revising is a chore. The maths one is a bit confusing though; it's too packed full of information that you can't concentrate p.s. i'm ks3

Rachel — , UK — 03 Mar 2002 at 15:48:00

Your geography GCSE revision guide is excellent - and I'm recommending it to students preparing for their summer exams. You've managed to be comprehensive without being too unwieldy and the use of colour and diagrams definitely helps. The revision summaries for each section mirror the styles of question found in GCSE geography papers - a combination of shorter answers and longer, more detailed responses. Its just a shame that you don't publish a similar guide for GCSE Travel and Tourism (but then again, neither does anyone else).

Simon Smith — The Forest School, Horsham , UK — 03 Mar 2002 at 15:22:00

i think this site is ok but i think u shud lower the price of the books i mean come on if u want to buy them individually they are £4.50!!!!!!

Emma Burney — , UK — 03 Mar 2002 at 15:18:00

My name is Amy Ryder and I am from Chelmsford in Essex. I am 10 years old, but in Science I doing the level 6 S.A.T's with my friend, Jonathan. We both think the levels 5 to 7 science books are great, and so does our teacher, Mrs Cooper, as she doesn't have to teach us extra stuff! Any way, stop printing jokes because they are getting us into trouble as we are always laughing! Thankyou!

aMY rYDER — , UK — 03 Mar 2002 at 14:18:00

Hiya!! CGP Books are great for reviion to all ages. The only complaint I have is In the Key Stage Three SCIENCE, Workbooks (Levels 3-7) Some of the answers in the answerbook remain wrong. I have checked and it even shows in the eqivilent revision guide that the answer book was wrong. I think this is awful leaving a bad reputation to be told to the public and also this could leave to loss of marks in very important tests!!!!!

Charlotte — , UK — 03 Mar 2002 at 12:26:00

I love the range of books and they realy helped me do well in my KS3's, but will you be publishing a G.C.S.E latin revision guide sometime in the future???
