Could you make some more revison guides for all GCSE subjects such as Art?

c — d, United Kingdom — 30 Jan 2010 at 18:15:12

If you are wanting to sell the books too, you could give a password with each book that someone buys to log on to the website so that you can put more interesting, interactive things on it. This means that only the people who have purchased the books can access it.

b — c , United Kingdom — 30 Jan 2010 at 18:12:00

It would be good if you put more interactive things on this website and more topics for each subject - I've got the books but it would be good to have something interactive to learn in a different way.

a — y, United Kingdom — 30 Jan 2010 at 18:08:20

Hi, I love your revision books, Is there any chance you're doing AS level Economics by September 2010?

J-Yeah — london, United Kingdom — 29 Jan 2010 at 23:07:26

Guestbook Editor: It's not in the plan for this year but we'd love to do it when we've time. Sorry.

Hi CGP I love your books. I used them for KS3. I am doing IGCSEs and there are no books to help. This would not only be useful for me but useful for you as the IGCSE is a becoming more and more popular and means you will get more and more money!

James — London, United Kingdom — 29 Jan 2010 at 19:28:29

CGP have helped me so much. I'm KS2 and the jokes you put in there make it more fun than work. I'm doing so much better. My parents are impressed with my improvement. Thank you CGP!

Britt — Grays, United Kingdom — 29 Jan 2010 at 00:03:36

Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice needed!

Will — Stratford, United Kingdom — 28 Jan 2010 at 19:51:49

Hi. Didn't know where to point out the mistake I spotted in one of your books, so I am leaving the comment here. Hope it will be picked up by you {CGP}. In Men and Mice, text guide {isbn 9781841461144} you have given a picture of 'Candy' showing he lost his left hand but, in truth, he had lost his right hand in the story. Hope I am clear.

Moqheeta Mehboob — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 28 Jan 2010 at 17:17:50

Guestbook Editor: Well spotted - would you believe it was a deliberate error? Thought not. To be fair he's mostly without a right hand, but you would expect consistency with something like that! We'll put it right!

My daughter's physics teacher recommended the AQA revision book. It presents the information in a detailed and attractive way. No doubt I shall look into your range of books. Thanks for the excellent work!

Joe Scicluna — Attard , Malta — 28 Jan 2010 at 10:31:43

These books are gr8. My school give them out for a cheaper price. I have Maths study, English study, Maths questions, English questions and punctuation.

Tillyxxx — Brentwood, United Kingdom — 27 Jan 2010 at 18:00:09

These books are very good! I like them.

Usama — Manchester, United Kingdom — 26 Jan 2010 at 20:04:46

I think the books are really good and have been using them throughout my education. However there does not seem to be one for Classical Civilizations at any level. I am taking my GCSEs and it would be helpful.

Ella — Hithchin, United Kingdom — 26 Jan 2010 at 18:42:11

When my son told me he needed a book to complete his homework on Sunday night I was, like, you are joking right? I didn't want to let him know that I couldn't afford anything at the time so I told him I will look into it, hoping that I could delay it until payday! My thoughts were this is going to be a fortune and I don't have it. To my surprise when I came to the website I was shocked to see the books are so cheap and also they could be delivered quickly. I hope it gets to me in time. I was scared to visit the website as I didn't want to disappoint my son. But now the white lie I told about booking it earlier and waiting he doesn't have to know... as long as it gets here on time (fingers crossed :)

— Plymouth, United Kingdom — 26 Jan 2010 at 10:10:57

Guestbook Editor: We've removed your name from this confession - just in case!

Your books are tedious. I could not take in a single piece of information from them. I was really disappointed. I ended up relying on internet resources for my GCSE revision. I think the problem is that there's too much one one page and too many jokes that aren't funny.

Holly — Stroud, United Kingdom — 25 Jan 2010 at 19:42:20

Hi. I live in France but I don't speak French. Need help. PS I'm 13

Alicia — Le Perrie, France — 25 Jan 2010 at 11:04:10

Guestbook Editor: Have a look at our Key Stage 3 French books. Et bonne chance!

Great study books and really straightforward, user-friendly ordering process. Thank you !

Carole Davies — Maidenhead, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2010 at 20:11:56

I wish there could be some new CGP books because my Dad makes me practise my key stage 2 maths one all the time because I'm rubbish at maths and my sats are coming up. I'm finding my book sooooooooooooo! boring now and I already know all the stuff it talks about.

Aarati — Southampton, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2010 at 14:00:55

Guestbook Editor: At least if you know it all, you'll be expecting a great result!

(Commenting on book HWR41, GCSE History, Modern World History Revision Guide

Is this for Edexcel?

Anonymous — Bristol, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2010 at 11:52:06

Guestbook Editor: It’s a general book that covers Edexcel A, OCR B and AQA B Modern World History. So there’ll be plenty of helpful info – but also some stuff you don’t need. Topics useful for Edexcel are International Relations, Germany Between the Wars, the USA 1919-1941, Russia 1905-1941, the USA 1945-1975 and Changes in British Society.

Keep up the good work CGP your books are fab! It'd be great if you could make some psychology books for GCSEs ;) I already own 11 cgp books. I'm turning into a right nerd! :)x

Tasbiha — Stoke, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2010 at 21:25:29

We were given these in yr6 to study for our sats. I think they're great because you can learn easily.

Tom — Bedfont, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2010 at 17:49:20

Just to say hi
But in my opinion your packing cost is quite high. As you know on ebay they have free posting but how come you seem to charge more money? It's just a book isn't it?

Manuka — Hampshire, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2010 at 15:58:07

Hey CGP... You are soooo cool. Because of these books I got a good grade in my subjects!

Alisha — Liversidge, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2010 at 15:36:57

Ever since I have started using CGP revision books and test papers to prepare for my exams, I have found studying and revision fun and easy. I am not someone who likes to spend hours and hours looking at diagrams or pages packed with information that I had never seen or heard in class before... it gets so confusing and one can become frustrated and give up.
But CGP have helped me with all my revision, from the start. I can never think of any other revision guide to recommend. Thanks to CGP I enjoy revision and always look forward to reading through them, even when I don't feel like revising.
Thank you so much CGP. Keep up the good work!

Kristina Saul — Heston, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2010 at 12:21:15

Thanks for doing such a good job. The books are very straightforward and simple. I like it! The fun helps to get the kids to read it.

Ibrahim — Blackburn, United Kingdom — 22 Jan 2010 at 19:05:49

Just wish to say thank you so much for your books - got about seven of them now. I think they're great and really help with exams.

Jack — Nottingam, United Kingdom — 21 Jan 2010 at 21:32:44

This site is where you buy the books, so it's obviously not going to help you is it?
great site btw(: 'ox

Ellie(: — Weymouth, United Kingdom — 20 Jan 2010 at 21:07:07

We were given CGP books at school and I think that they are a great help because they explain all the hard things very well and I think the books are really funny!

alice — huddersfield, United Kingdom — 20 Jan 2010 at 20:24:27

Thank you for such a first class service.

Dorothy Browne — St Albans , United Kingdom — 20 Jan 2010 at 17:59:04

I love these books, they are also more fun than any other ones! The only thing is I just can't revise for more than five minutes, I get too distracted :D

Anonymous — London, United Kingdom — 20 Jan 2010 at 13:23:52

I hate this website. It doesn't help me at all. It is too hard!!!:(

rachel — london, United Kingdom — 19 Jan 2010 at 17:30:08

Just bought the GCSE OCR B Modern World Revision Guide for my son and was extremely pleased with the next day delivery. My son is sure this guide will help him through his History revision and gain his grades. Thank you !

Louise Allen — Sheffied, United Kingdom — 19 Jan 2010 at 12:51:35

Are you planning to make a geography GCSE revision book for the Edexcel A spec? We would really appreciate this.

Hannah Cheetham — London , United Kingdom — 19 Jan 2010 at 11:33:27

Guestbook Editor: It's not in the plan right now though we will be making a GCSE Geography revision guide that's not specific to AQA or OCR. It might be worth a look when it's ready - should be June.

How come you don't include anything for decison maths in your AS maths book?

Isam B — Ilford , United Kingdom — 18 Jan 2010 at 21:52:33

Guestbook Editor: It's really about how popular these optional modules are. So we included Mechanics and Stats but Decision maths had very few takers. We'll keep on looking at this though and may well add it later.

yessssssssss — london, United Kingdom — 18 Jan 2010 at 21:51:13

Could you make a little'uns math book which doesn't require reading? My youngest really wants the 'same' books as his brothers, and knows and loves working with numbers, although he can't read yet..............

Gill — Sussac , France — 18 Jan 2010 at 20:51:37

beth — stockton , United Kingdom — 18 Jan 2010 at 18:25:05

Just under 4 months and counting until I start my study leave for GCSE. You are helping so much! Was looking at the AS level books to see if my choices would be there and you have everything I need except French!! I think you should work on some AS language books :)

(Commenting on book GAAR41, GCSE Geography Resources AQA A Study Guide

I have used the science books from CGP and found them incredibly useful so I would expect the same from this one. Oh I wish I hadn't. I am currently in year 11 studying geography and this book is not helping at all. There is a lot more information in our classbooks than in this book. I feel like it is aimed for C grade students! I am begging you CGP, please please please make an AQA Geography revision guide in the same format as the fun ones. I really need one to replace this. Sorry to be mean but it is the honest truth. Oh and I am finding it very hard to resist chewing my chemistry book - your little reminder on the back is really helping me, thank you :)

Vic — Manchester, United Kingdom — 17 Jan 2010 at 21:46:03

Please Please Please make a Drama GCSE. Notes in lessons aren't the best when you need info on set designs, lighting, SFX, etc etc.(:

Romy — Dunstable, United Kingdom — 17 Jan 2010 at 19:53:25

I like to use the books to study, especially being in year 6 with the sats coming up.

holly — louth, United Kingdom — 17 Jan 2010 at 19:04:18

As every other of my friends do... I LOVE CGP! :)

Tilly — Kent , United Kingdom — 16 Jan 2010 at 20:25:18

I bought KS2 science ready for my SATs this May 2010 before I go to secondary school (high school) I think they are really good and fun whenever I'm bored or don't have anything to do. I just get it out of my folder in my Minnie Mouse bag and have a look at it and answer some questions. So I will definitely recommend this book!

Anonymous — Telford, United Kingdom — 16 Jan 2010 at 16:53:02

The JOKES are really funny!!!!

Sa Ma — Griesheim , Germany — 16 Jan 2010 at 16:32:38

I love your books but I noticed in the GCSE additional applied science OCR 21st century foundation level study guide that on page 12 there is a spelling mistake. The 1st sub heading says 'heath and fitness practitioners' shouldn't it be 'health'?

steph — ashford middlesex, United Kingdom — 16 Jan 2010 at 13:54:56

Guestbook Editor: Would you believe we were worried about the fitness of heaths? Thought not. Well spotted - we'll correct it as soon as we can.

(Commenting on book ML5R21, KS2 Maths Study Book - Level 5

My son is in year five so I didn’t see the point of buying this Study Book as the KS2 maths Study Book without specifying the level does the job and I can continue using this book when he's in year 6. It feels as if extra books are created to confuse parents into buying books that they don’t really need!

HUSSAIN — BOLTON, United Kingdom — 16 Jan 2010 at 00:20:57

I really like CGP Books because they help us study. I hope that most children love them.

sahana — london, United Kingdom — 15 Jan 2010 at 21:28:08

CGP have got it all covered :) I'm planning to save up and get one for each of my subjects - hoorah for knowledge!

Zara — Rogiet , United Kingdom — 15 Jan 2010 at 19:57:17

I second this! Please please please bring out a A2 Geography revision book as I don't think I really would have done so well in my AS retake today without your books help! Have the A2 books for my other subjects I just want the Geography one to complete it :)

Anni Barrett — CAMBS, United Kingdom — 15 Jan 2010 at 18:29:19

Your guides are great - pleeeease make an A2 Edexcel Geography one AND an Edexcel B Geography new spec GCSE one soon!

Laura Standen — Edgware, United Kingdom — 15 Jan 2010 at 16:07:05

Why don't you make Latin or Greek revision guides? No-one does.

L — Madeuptown , United Kingdom — 15 Jan 2010 at 15:13:59

Please CGP, make an A2 Geography AQA revision guide, we are in need of help! Class notes aren't much good, we need your heavenly hand to guide us through the exam! Please make one! Not only will you see a boost in profits... but also a lot of passes and smiles! I personally am a big fan of CGP, you've helped me achieve such good grades in the past!

I think the maths book is so so so fun.

Zoe — acton , United Kingdom — 13 Jan 2010 at 17:40:17

I love the books, they've been massively useful at GCSE and at AS. However, the AS physics and chemistry books have a square spine, which makes the book keep closing unless I weigh it down. I preferred the GCSE ones where the spine was stapled in and the book would happily stay open. Otherwise, they're awesome!

Pedley — Bromsgrove, United Kingdom — 13 Jan 2010 at 17:37:19

I LOVE u CGP. I got 10 A* grades in my GCSEs! I NEED maths, economics and further maths A2! Please Please Please.

Joshy Babes — , France — 12 Jan 2010 at 14:13:12

I've just received a sample copy of the GCSE Music guide. Whilst factually correct, I wouldn't dream of buying it and using it with my students. This is for 2 main reasons: 1) The layout is very uncomfortable to read. Text, diagrams and music are squashed up and there's very little space on each page. 2) The 'funny' comments are distracting and also sometimes inaccurate. I believe they could lead students to provide inappropriate answers within an exam. For example "Shoenberg's music sounds a bit weird". This is exactly the kind of answer which we battle to STOP students giving, yet this book encourages it!

Austin — Chester, United Kingdom — 12 Jan 2010 at 09:23:21

I don't understand these books at all. They never have what I need to know in them.

anonimous — manchester, United Kingdom — 11 Jan 2010 at 19:11:21

Hey there. Love the books; they're truly inspiring. It's been a while, but you helped me through GCSE Biology brilliantly; especially as it was a subject I struggled at! I only wish you did thorough books for English AS. The only one out there at the moment is York Notes, and to be quite frank... they're boring. Here's to another year of CGP; the friendly and informal (yet accurate) publisher!

David — Bromley, London, United Kingdom — 11 Jan 2010 at 16:47:52

Guestbook Editor: Oh shucks David - you're too nice to us.

I love your books; they've helped me to revise and get through many exams, so thank you! Oh, and please could you make a GCSE Latin revision guide? Pretty please?

Jasmine — Winchester, United Kingdom — 11 Jan 2010 at 13:25:07

Louise — Liverpool , United Kingdom — 11 Jan 2010 at 10:44:02

Love these books. My kids have used them in Primary School then gone on to use them for O and A levels. Funny, interesting and to the point. Would encourage everyone to invest in them.

Fatima — Manchester, United Kingdom — 10 Jan 2010 at 19:46:22

I find the books useful, but there are no online resources for AS apart from maths, and there are no language guides for AS either. Please think about it, because I'm convinced these got me through GCSE!

Sarah — Lancaster , United Kingdom — 10 Jan 2010 at 15:39:07

I am very confused as to which OCR Maths course I'm doing - Linear or Modular? I've scoured my work books, but as they say : 'I got nothing'. help?

Your AS OCR BIOLOGY BOOK rocks!! Thanks a bunch for making it. Please, please, please could you make one for AS/A2 Government and politics Edexcel. Lots of people would buy it :p

AISHA — London , United Kingdom — 08 Jan 2010 at 19:54:34

These are all really good revision guides. I am using the OCR 21st century higher science one now. =)

More AS revision online resources :D

jim — england, United Kingdom — 07 Jan 2010 at 21:08:47

Your books are very useful for GCSEs and A-levels. Are there any plans for making IB revision guides? It would be great as the course is getting more popular in the UK but there are no good resources I could use for my exam revision.

Agne — London, United Kingdom — 07 Jan 2010 at 20:33:12

Guestbook Editor: We'd really love to, but the problem is finding the time. It's not in our immediate plans though so don't rely on us.

I'm in year six and love your books. Think they're funny and they're only the only ones I use. I'm a big fan of your books.

alia — isle of dogs, United Kingdom — 07 Jan 2010 at 18:45:34

All of these books are fantastic to work with and very, very helpful. They provide the facts clearly, with easy tips about how to remember them and make the boring process of studying all that more interesting.
I was a borderline maths student and these books were recommended to me, and after finishing the book with all the pactice tips and quick tests, I was confident I was going to get a C. And, to my surprise, I not only passed my maths but I got an A! And am now moving on to do my maths A level.
I intend to work for them in the future.
Thank you CGP! THANK YOU!

I'm having a chicken salad.

Julie — North East, United Kingdom — 04 Jan 2010 at 14:08:09

Hey you! The people who filled my maths book with cows, why haven't you made any C3/C4 books? I really like the C1, S1 books that you made. For example I found the inside of the first page (The Things You MUST Remember...Or ELSE) really helpful, especially for statistics. I have these exams in a week so I will be moving onto C2, M1 the C3 (I do further maths). We go through topics really quickly so sometimes it's hard to take in the information. As good as it is for the teachers to keep saying practice makes perfect, I don't have the time to do millions of practice papers, I have another 3 subjects to think about, so the ones at the back of the book are great.
I think it would be a good idea to make more maths books (preferably for Edexcel!) as obviously lots of other people in other posts say they would buy them. And also on the back of a book you could put, “Now that you have read this you must tell 5 friends to buy this book.”

Cherie — Rugby, United Kingdom — 04 Jan 2010 at 13:24:13

The ONLY book you need to buy to do really well in your GCSE. I love the way the early pages explain so well the hereditary system present at the time - that is - the reigning King could choose whomsoever he wished to succeed him. At a stroke this clears up the problem about why Macbeth thought he was in with a chance to be Duncan's heir.
