Top of page 183 in the AQA Year 1 textbook:

pent-4-en-2-one is supposed to have four bonds from the fifth carbon in the chain, not five as shown.
One of the hydrogens on the fifth carbon should be removed.

Guestbook Editor: You're right — our apologies. We'll make sure that's corrected next time we reprint the book.

When do you intend to update this site so it no longer looks like it was designed in 2000?

Jiaii — Horsham, United Kingdom — 27 Jan 2017 at 18:47:35

Guestbook Editor: Hey, this look is retro chic. But you might notice some changes in the not-too-distant future...

I have just bought the GCSE French Exam Practice Workbook and it mentions free online audio, which are needed for the listening questions in the workbook. How and where do I find the online audio?

Lesley Bolton — Bolton, United Kingdom — 25 Jan 2017 at 21:12:49

Guestbook Editor: Hello — you should find the web address you need on the first page of the book. Alternatively, you can follow this link to our GCSE French Audio page.

I have just noticed the new A-Level Maths guides and they look amazing!

Any plans for A-Level Further Maths?

Mihael Keehl — London, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2017 at 20:35:37

Guestbook Editor: Thanks — we're very excited about them too. (For anyone who hasn't seen them, you can now browse and pre-order our 2017 A-Level Maths books on our website.)

A-Level Further Maths definitely features in our plans, but the details aren't confirmed yet. Our Maths editors are in for a busy year...

Will there be an A-Level Economics guide for the Edexcel Economics B exam board?

Nate River — Winchester, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2017 at 20:30:31

Guestbook Editor: It's unlikely, I'm afraid — our current A-Level Economics books cover the most popular courses (AQA, OCR and Edexcel A), and we're not planning to add extra exam boards to the range. Sorry!

i love these triple science books i don't really like chemistry but i think the book is easy to use and sure to get me an A or a B

(Commenting on book SPAS41, New GCSE Spanish AQA Complete Revision & Practice (with CD & Online Edition) - Grade 9-1 Course

hi, i just wanted to say that your books are very helpful, but i don't know how to use the CD for the Spanish GCSE AQA, 9-1 revision book,

Thank you!

mohaned elemara — harrow, United Kingdom — 24 Jan 2017 at 17:31:20

Guestbook Editor: Hello! To use this CD-ROM, you'll need a PC or Mac with a disc drive. Just put the disc in and you should be able to play the audio files using your computer's media player.

If you don't have a disc drive, that's no problem — you can play or download the audio on this page. Happy listening.

I am home educating my son, your books, are really helping. They are not boring or babyish, like some for ks2, and the jokes are great..
My son has several SEN issues including ADHD, which means he gets distracted easily, so its great that I can use it for small sessions and not lose out. I'm trying to say your books are laid out well.

(Commenting on book CAXP41, GCSE Chemistry AQA 10-Minute Tests (including Answers) (A*-G course)

Please, please, can you publish 10 minute test books designed for the 'new' 9-1 GCSE course?

Daniel H-T — Ipswich, United Kingdom — 23 Jan 2017 at 09:30:33

Guestbook Editor: This is definitely on our agenda, but they probably won't be available much before the end of 2017. Still in plenty of time for the first exams in summer 2018, though.

Had Taramasalata, babaganoush, pitta, chorizo, tomato and mussels, sourdough bread, rocket, watercress, selection of artisan cheeses and a drop of chianti reserva (well you asked). Love your books and so do my pupils. Corny (age reference) jokes are an especial favourite with my class! Where is crime and punishment etc for year 5 though?

Julie — East Bridgford, United Kingdom — 22 Jan 2017 at 19:53:19

You are not a big website and I can't find what I'm looking for!!

Natalie — Sheffield, United Kingdom — 22 Jan 2017 at 10:58:56

Guestbook Editor: Sorry to hear that — we do our best to make everything as easy-to-find as possible. Let us know what you're after and we'll point you in the right direction!

I wold like to say that your website is brill and I would definitely recomend it to others. Except you don't have what I looking for and that is the online audio files English sat buster ks2 and all you gave me was math sat buster ks2 online audio files

Mandy — York, United Kingdom — 22 Jan 2017 at 10:56:47

Guestbook Editor: Sorry you've had trouble tracking down the online audio for our KS2 SAT Busters. You'll find the files that match our current 10-Minute Tests (for Maths and English) on this page.

These books are used in my school and so I am going to purchase these to extend my knowledge at home... They are great with exam examples, annotations and easy to understand language.

GCSEstudent14 — Bimrmingham, United Kingdom — 21 Jan 2017 at 16:59:14

Bought these for my students. Really like the ethos of the company, and remember loving these when I was doing my GCSEs back in the day. Really accessible and fun. Hopefully the chemistry revision guides and workbooks will make a difference for them in summer!

Volodymyr Chapman — Caerphilly, United Kingdom — 19 Jan 2017 at 20:15:56

The book was great got an A thanks to the book. But i was a little Disappointed there was no cow questions in the exam.

Matthew Cook — dagenham, United Kingdom — 19 Jan 2017 at 13:11:03

Guestbook Editor: Cow questions are like the Northern Lights — rarely seen, but life-affirmingly beautiful if you're lucky enough to catch a glance.

I highly recommend that you buy CGP books. Has helped my grades shooting up and I really would want you to buy CGP books.

Deby Dooman — York, United Kingdom — 14 Jan 2017 at 18:20:11

I use these books for my GCSE's. They are actually amazing. I absolutely hate Maths and I simply cant do it. When I hear the word maths my hairs on my arms stand up.. However these books make maths seem a little easier as they explain everything so well. If only CGP was my maths teacher i'd be getting A* instead of an E I just hope they work and the information stays in my head for my GCSE's

Molly — Dollingstown, United Kingdom — 14 Jan 2017 at 14:22:37

These books are amazing I use them all the time. However the online site is quite difficult to find what your looking. I am still unsure where the videos are.

Zoe Blevins — Belfast, United Kingdom — 14 Jan 2017 at 14:17:09

Guestbook Editor: Sorry about that — let us know which videos you're looking for and we'll try to point you in the right direction.

you guys saved my year 10 but from detention and trouble so yeah I own you more than one

ANI — wewlyn garden city, United Kingdom — 13 Jan 2017 at 18:34:53

Over a decade ago I found CGP maths books and loved using them as a teacher and tutor. Returning to tutoring I'm looking forward to seeing the new books!

Clare — Brighton , United Kingdom — 13 Jan 2017 at 15:18:49

Your resources are on point !! Informative and trustworthy. Thankyou cgp.

Fozia Mustafa — Shipley, United Kingdom — 11 Jan 2017 at 14:33:57

I'm really enjoying your AQA Stats 1 textbook, but it comes with the past papers on a CD-ROM. My laptop is hella futuristic - I don't mean to brag but it's twice as thick as my laptop (so my laptop has no CD drive). I had to dust out an old PC from the garage to get them off of it. Are there any plans to make these available through other means?

Will — Basingstoke, United Kingdom — 10 Jan 2017 at 17:22:53

Guestbook Editor: Sounds like a fancy laptop you've got there. We originally made these A-Level Maths Student Books a few years ago, when CD-ROM drives were more of a standard feature, and most laptops were thicker than the King James Bible.

I don't think we have any plans to make these practice papers available as downloads (especially since new A-Level Maths courses are starting in September). But if anyone's struggling to access these files, just email our customer services team — they can almost certainly sort something out for you.

I think your functional English books are treasure - very informative and user-friendly! And your service is quick, easy and so generously affordable! Many, many thanks!

Emma Onabolu — Birmingham, United Kingdom — 10 Jan 2017 at 15:26:17

Guestbook Editor: You're welcome! I'll try not to ruin your experience of CGP by saying something unfunny now. I'd better just stop typing.

Hi CGP Books
I absolutely love your books!!
They make studying so much easier!!! The jokes too make learning fun too! Keep up the good work!
YOU ARE AMAZING! !

Tawonga Nischelle Chirwa — Blantyre, Malawi — 10 Jan 2017 at 15:23:28

I really love your books. I came to the UK 3 years ago. No English... nothing. But I spend 4 hours every day with your books and now I can talk. My English it's not perfect, but thanks to you I feel more comfortable.

anna — Manchester, United Kingdom — 06 Jan 2017 at 21:57:35

"This bundle contains both of our new AQA A-Level Chemistry Student Books (Year 1 and Year 2) — with a big saving on the price of buying them separately!"

Wow, CGP. I would like to express my gratitude for this astronomical saving. Even with the weak value of the pound, £1.98 is a fantastic reduction.

Lets see...
19 packs of Haribo, with 8 pence remaining
Two items from the 99p store
BHS. With 98 pence remaining!!
55754.58 Vietnamese Dong

Only kidding guys, I love your books. And genuinely, no matter how small the saving, it is appreciated!

Philip G — London, United Kingdom — 05 Jan 2017 at 21:09:10

Guestbook Editor: Ah, sometimes we get a bit carried away with our enthusiastic adjectives. For instance, we tried to write a Text Guide for the Charles Dickens novel Little Dorrit, but we couldn't stop ourselves from typing 'Gigantic Dorrit' every time.

What did you spend your £1.98 on in the end?

The website was dead easy to use and i was very impressed with what was on offer, especially after giving each book a flick through, a nice touch often left out by other websites.
I have purchased plenty for the kids to immerse themselves in, CGP came highly recommended by my sons primary school teacher so fingers crossed.
I'll let you know how they get on!
Many thanks.

26lovers — nontown, United Kingdom — 03 Jan 2017 at 15:07:08

Guestbook Editor: Hi — you'll find brilliant study notes on all these in our GCSE Text Guides section. (We don't sell the plays / novels themselves, though — sorry.)

Robert — Rather Not Say, United Kingdom — 03 Jan 2017 at 14:09:37

Guestbook Editor: Good question. I don't have a good answer. Would anyone else like to step in?

Best website for revision books and exam practice and oh the next day delivery just wow. Really like the service. Keep up the good work. The funny jokes in each revision guide alter the mood. Brilliant. Very happy and proud.
