I'm a teacher. Can I buy Apps for my students?
For Apple devices — yes! You'll need an Apple School Manager account. You can find all the details on the Apple website.
How much data will the App use?
You'll need an internet connection (which will use data unless you're connected to Wi-Fi) to download and update the App, as well as sharing anything to social media. Once you've downloaded the App, it doesn't need data, so you can use it in Flight Mode if you like!
What about personal data?
CGP's Apps don't collect any personal data. It does use Google Analytics (GA) to send reports about how the App is used so that we can build even better Apps in the future. For more information on how CGP uses GA, have a read of our full T&Cs.
I’ve bought the App for my iPhone or Android phone. Do I have to buy it again for my iPad or Android tablet?
If your phone works on the same operating system as your tablet or vice versa, your App purchases should be linked to your e.g. Apple ID or Google account. If the App doesn’t appear straight away, go to the ‘Help & Info’ screen in your App, and tap on the button to restore your purchases.
Why is there a strange black bar across my device?
There's a chance your phone is set to 'dark mode'. Your phone's display and brightness settings should have an option to switch 'dark mode' off.
Something's not working correctly. How do I report it?
Check that there are no updates for your App, by visiting the App Store or Google Play.
If you have the latest version of the App and the problem is still occurring, please find the App version number by visiting the 'Help & Info' page (you'll find this in the bottom right-hand corner of the App topic page). Then email the version number and a screenshot with a full description of what's happening to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If a 'send report' option appears, please click 'send report' — this is really helpful for us. Once we've received your email, we'll look into it as soon as we can and give you an update.
The text is sometimes getting cut off on my phone. How do I fix it?
Your phone's text size might be set larger than the default size. Find your phone's settings and try decreasing the size of the text display.
I’m having trouble downloading the App, why is this?
First things first, are you connected to the internet? To be able to download or update a CGP App you’ll need to be connected to Wi-Fi or data.
To use our Apps you’ll need an iPhone 6 or Android 6 (1.5GHz of CPU and 1.5 GB of RAM) or above. Check the model and/or capacity of your phone to see if it meets these requirements. If it doesn’t, you might not be able to download our Apps.
