Handling Data

Here are some questions on handling data. Think about them carefully — and don't rush them. Good luck!
  1) A Silver Jubilee celebrates 25 years. A Golden Jubilee celebrates 50 years. If the Queen has her Golden Jubilee in 2002, when was her Silver Jubilee?

  4) If Jack goes to the dentist at 11.00am on Thursday and spends 45 minutes away from school, which lessons will he partly have to miss?  
  5) How long in total is spent on Assembly and RE each week? Give your answer as a whole number and a fraction.  
  6) A school day is counted as 2 sessions. How many sessions are there in a 13-week term?  
  7) Kieron goes on holiday and has 10 days away from school. What is his percentage attendance for a 13-week school term? Give your answer to the nearest whole percentage.  


  8) How many hours in total do Year 3 spend on PE and Games during a 13-week term? Give your answer as a decimal.  
  9) If Year 3 have swimming lessons on Tuesday at 10.00am for 5 weeks, how many minutes of Maths do they miss in total?  
  10) Paul travels for 35 minutes each way on his way to school. Luke takes 25 minutes, Joe and Rachel both take 20 minutes. What is the mean average travelling time each way?
