Tell us about yourself
Before I came to CGP, I studied Maths and then spent a year working in hospitality. I’d heard that CGP was a great place to work, so I sent in a speculative application and I’m pleased to say I got a call back when a trainee opportunity came up in the Ecommerce team!
Tell us about your role
When I first started at CGP, I didn’t have much digital experience so I had lots to learn – thankfully the team’s really friendly and collaborative, so it didn’t take long before I was up to speed, and I never felt out of my depth. My role includes managing the website aspect of product launches — pulling together and uploading all of the elements needed for a book to go online ready for sale. I build new pages, work on digital projects, respond to data requests, craft social media posts, and maintain the website... I absolutely love the variety of work that I get stuck in to.
Tell us about your future prospects
I’m really excited to keep building on the training and encouragement I’ve been given so far, increasing my knowledge and experience of Ecommerce with all the many aspects of the role. I’m looking forward to taking on larger, more challenging projects soon and becoming even more of a ‘Specialist’ in my area.
Best thing about working at CGP
It has got to be the people! The Ecom team were supportive right from Day 1 and made me feel settled straight away. The induction process and sessions meant that I got to meet people all across the company and everyone was very welcoming. Working with such great people every day (most of them just down the corridor) really is the highlight.
