£25k–£27k

CGP’s growing, and with more exciting plans in the pipeline we’re looking for a top graduate with some marketing experience to join our Sales & Marketing team.

In this role you’ll manage marketing campaigns that promote our books to schools and retailers. You’ll be responsible for everything from forecasting sales to signing off final marketing materials, and you’ll take part in trade and education shows too. You’ll run your own commercial projects and, in time, take ownership of key markets.

Why CGP?

  • We’re the UK’s No.1 educational publisher, with sales of over £35m
  • We do all our marketing in-house — we don’t use agencies
  • We’re independent and able to adapt to change really quickly
  • We’re proud to be different — a bit quirky
  • And we’re based in the beautiful Lake District!

Because we do everything ourselves at CGP, you’ll get to work with people in lots of departments and at all levels, so good communication skills are key. You’ll also need to be:

  • Commercially aware and numerate
  • Driven — motivated and excited by growing sales
  • Meticulous, with a creative eye to know what looks good
  • A self-starter — able to manage your own time

Responsibilities

As a Marketing Executive, you’ll:

For the right person there will be scope, in time, to plan and run commercial projects, and to take responsibility for your own sales channel or specific retail accounts.

Skills & Attributes

A graduate with a degree from a top university, you’ll have some marketing experience already. Flexible and positive, you’ll enjoy working with people at all levels. You’ll also need to be:
