£30k (+ generous benefits, including Leisure and Golf Club membership)

You’ll already know that CGP’s bestselling revision guides are carefully written, immaculately presented and dangerously close to being funny — but did you know we put just as much effort into our code?

We develop most of our systems and software in house — from our ecommerce website and print scheduling tool, to our online tests and mobile apps.  Why do it all ourselves?  It’s about high standards.  We need total trust in our systems and products to ensure we deliver annual sales of £40m.

Who are we looking for?

If you’re a junior developer with C# (and ideally SQL) experience looking for your next step up and are definitely ready to take on more responsibility, this could be just the role for you.  We could drop in all the buzz words to tempt you — SOLID design principles, Agile delivery methods, iOS and Android development but the key question is, what sort of person are you?  Well, you’ll definitely be switched on by technology and be:

  • Open-minded, flexible and willing
  • Logical and quick to pick things up
  • Driven by high standards
  • Able to work within an agreed structure
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver
  • Comfortable using and switching between different languages
